I find this interesting. Green Day was more punk rock back in their older days and is more pop punk now.

The media absolutely has NO clue. They're morons that have no sense of GOOD music...they just don't have something to do with their own lives so they critisize others

gah.. critics. why let them get to you, when you know better?
they have their thoughts and put it in their words.
as do we. do we not? Green Day to me is and has always been
on the side of pop rock. never were they pure punk rock.
because who's to say there ever was a true punk rock band.
somewhere along the lines you have a band that comes close to it
but isn't fully what it's supposed to be. anyways, Green Day wasn't very pnuk rock in the 90's. more like raw.... raw as in with their first albums.
1039 and Kerplunk!, so... it's like saying. they grew up from the raw stage and came to be what they are now. full made, different from before but still as good. even if, the old was better for some but for others not as best. everything relies on the opinions of people in the end i suppose.
so forget the critics and media. just like green day.....

and screw everyone else. *i guess*

I agree with M!lk.

I never assumed they were were punk rock, they were always pop rock

to me.

It doesn't matter what the critics think, they give THEIR opinion, and we

give ours.

Sure, some critics have influence with the fans, like if they say it's s**t,

no one will buy it.

But I think Green Day is popular enough now to over-run the critics opinions.

I was going to rant about how stupid it was to call them the "Blvd" stars,

but I couldn't be bothered.

Although, SpUnKtAsTiC, they media does have a clue. They were hired

to review music because they're good at it.

If you disagree with their opinion, it doesn't mean their opinion is null,

it just means that you disagree. *shrug*

Haha, I probably made no sense there.

.... Anyways, you've got to remember that the media sees things their way and doesn't look at it from the different agles that other people do. say like... THE FANS! yea... it makes sense. and they label somethings the way they see them as but you see them differently. and the media is putting in their thought for what they think of whatever it is they are critisising (sp?). and everyone else is left to look at it. and if they are stupid enough to just swallow what the media says and follow it instead of thinking of their points and debating agaist it in their own head, then they're screwed... and quite easy to manipulate.
the media has opinions and so do we. we stick with ours. they stick with theirs. case solved in my point of view....
