I found this site a couple of days ago and I found it quite amusing. You type in a sentence then it translates it to txt talk and other stuff a "12 year old AOLer" would do. It's a good waste of time, and it's really entertaining to read the stuff it comes up with Clicky!!

Oh, I love this thing! This: Quote: There once was an epicure at Crewe, Who found a rather large mouse in his stew. Said the waiter, 'Don't shout Or wave it about Or the rest will be wanting one too!' becomes this: Quote: THEIR ONCE WAS AN 3PICUR3 AT CRAWA WHO FOUND A RATHAR LARGA MOUS3 IN HIS ST3W SADE1!!111 OMG DA WATEER DONT SHOUT OR WAEV IT ABOUT OR TEH R3ST WIL B WANTNG ONE 2!!!!1 WTF

This is really very amusing for me. To bad they didn't make a reverse one where you put in the "1337" speak and it gave you normal english.

The MoUsY spell-checker I wonder how much more difficult it would be to make one like that, since there isn't much consistency in chatspeak. That would be very difficult you're right. But still, I think it'd be worth it if it ever came out. biggrin

Normal English Quote: Good day to you, sir. How are you on this fine day? I have been enjoying the reading of Witgenstein over a cup of my favorite Earl Grey tea. becomes AOL Quote: GOD DAY 2 U SIR!1!!1!1! HOW R U ON THIS FIEN DAY?!??? I HAEV B3N ENJOYNG TEH R3ADNG OF WITGANSTAIN OVAR A CUP OF MAH FAVORIET 3ARL GREY T3A!!!!1 LOL Yes, it would be great if someone could come up with a "txt tlk" to English translator, though I have a feeling that would require a lot more programming.

Hilarious. Except I don't think it's exactly just twelve year olds. Even kids that young should have better grammar then that. What a sad, sad, world we live in.

Even though the results are hilarious, that site has always offended me because of it's name. I'm twelve years old, and I think my English is fine! Hrrumph.
