Name: Makato, Ryuu-Kenji
Age: 18
Height: 5 foot 7
Appearance: Long, silky hair, red in colour. A light build. Dark brown eyes. Skin is tanned and has scars on his body. 'Right arm' is automail.
Personality: Quiet, and very 'closed.' He doesn't mingle much with the people around him, seems like an anti-social person. Though, within his heart, he is helpful and would do manythings to be of good use. His soul usually give him a sort of 'gut feeling' to situations, this leads to his stubborness.
Clothing: Sports a long-sleeved jacket, that has many pockets. The jacket also can double as a rain-jacket 'casue it has a hoody folded in. Black 'n' baggy pants, which has two belts crossed and has 2 pouches, one on each belt. Last of all, he were's a black glove on his automail hand.
Though not part of clothing, Ryuu-Kenji likes to carry his slim and compact backpack which he calls, 'The Wanderer,' reasons unknown.
History: Born to a respectful family that has had enjoyed a happy life, the children going to school both Academic and Military, with the father being a State Alchemist and the mother being a normal housewife. But things took a wrong turn. A murder took place in the Makato home, leading to a trial and accusations that the family was responsible for the murder. This lead to something really serious and that everything that the Makato family owned, were sold off. This has lead the family to poverty.
The father knew Alchemy, because he used to be a state Alchemist and decided on an early retirement, however, since the murder case was a big issue, the father had lost his money and whatever retiremnet money he was suppose to recieve, evapourated.
How Ryuu-Kenji got an automail arm is something of a dark reminder of an incident that no one knows of it. In some of the slum areas, theivery was a common thing and many wouldn't resort to force to get what they want. However, for the slums where the Makato family lived, things were different. One night, a group of raiders came to their 'home' in the slums and forcefully took what they wanted. Usually, the people in the slums would just let them take it, but the Makato family were different. Simply; They resisted and the family paid the price. The parents were first cornered and then shot at. In rage, Kenji quickly got up and fought the thieves. He was just a normal, young boy; fuelled by rage. Using the little Military training he had, he fought with his fists and soon with the weapons that lay before him. Killing one and injuring a few, he then left to see his parents; they were alive, but barely. He managed to get them on a cart and also had his little siblings get on the cart. During this however, someone who managed to get on his feet, grabbed a machete and attacked from the back, cutting off Kenji's right arm clean off. In response and instinct, he knocked the guy over and then grabbed the knife and brought it down on the man's throat. Seconds later he fell into unconsciuosness.
He later woke in a hospital bed, and his fellow siblings in other beds beside him. But where was his parents? Later on, the Doctor gave him the bad news, they died from their wounds.
Reason for studying alchemy:
To support his only family, a little brother and little sister. Also, to lear up the murder case which left him and his family out in the cold grip of poverty.

Hair: Light brown almost Strawberry Blonde
Personality:Shy and polite with adults and other people she doesn't know. Once you become friends with her, she acts like a normal everyday kid. She is a bit of a clutz, and a little slow on the uptake sometimes. She loves to read and enjoys any of the arts, especially art. Knowledge to her is everything because when she was little her mother made it a point to get an education. Her weak point is anything to do with physical excersize, she trys to get out of it every way she can.
Clothing: Likes wearing anything longsleeved half of the time she wears turtlenecks. She also wears a silver necklace and the charm on it is her family's crest. Which is Hermes' staff (The staff means Health)
History: She comes a from a rural area, in which her family has strong influence in because her father is the only doctor for the area. Her mom and Julie have a real strong mother-daughter relationship. She also has a strong relationship with her younger brother Dylan who is almost the exact opposite of Julie.
Reason for studying alchemy: She comes from a strong line of doctors and she wants to see how alchemy can strengthen her future profession.

Appearance. Tall. Slim. Short pitch-black hair. Black eyes.
Personality: Evil. Cool, calm, and collected. Self-supported. Short-tempered.
Clothing: He wears a hoodie that only shows his eyes, jeans, tennis shoes, and gloves. All of which are black. Incorporated in blood-red on the gloves is his alchemical symbol.
History: He was always somewhat of evil. But 3 years ago he was deceived by his former Dark Arts trainer, Red Kahala. On that day when he found out he was tricked, he turned complete evil. On that day he swore revenge on Red. He was on the verge of killing all those around him, when he met a mysterious person who taught him a few defensive alchemical moves. After training for a few months, the man disappeared. Still determined to exact his revenge he took to searching for a school in which he could learn more than defensive alchemic moves, in which he came apon this letter.
Reason for studying alchemy: Plain and simple. Vengence.

Foundation Division Student

Name: Guy Williams.
Age: 14.
Height: 5'1
Appearance: Guy has short dishwasher-blonde hair, longer at the front. It is usually brushed to the side in one bunch and is tied with a pink bobble. He has hazel eyes and a nice tan. Unfortunately he looks a lot younger than he is.
His body is slim and he has feminine legs and feet, he is usually made fun of because of them.
Personality: His polite attitude is an unfortunate hit with girls his age. Even though his parents were filthy rich he maintained a good attitude and a polite manner. Guy is not interested in girls as he wants to live the life of a child as long as possible.
Guy, unfortunately, has a smoking addiction.
Clothing: Guy wears hugger jeans with belts wrapped around his knees. He also wears a sleeveless black hoody with his father's traditional transmution circle printed on his back. His Jacket has an unusual amount of metal particles in it. He also carries around a small Flexi-steel jar containing Lithium, stored in oil so it doesn't react to and Oxygen that leaks in... Nobody knows what it is used for...
(After all it is one of the weakest Alkaline Metals...)
History: Guy's childhood friend was Rhys Waterman's best friend until they discovered Alchemy. Both of them fell out think one was superior to the other... Now that will be decided when they join the YAA�

Reason for studying alchemy: Guy admired his fathers talent for Alchemy and started to developed his talent. Guy realized his talent but still wasn't that interested in Alchemy. A certain boy changed that.

Appearance: Long black hair and focused emerald eyes. Has a pretty face and fair skin. Has a black transmutation circle on her back.
Personality: Twisted, bubbly, can be easily irritated

History: Ren'Ai is the niece of Lt. Colonel Roy Mustang. The origins of her unique ability arose during an extensive operation that saved her life. When she was ten years old, she was in a fatal accident that left her body totally mutilated. She was saved by a doctor who used alchemy to recreate her entire bone structure out of the only available substance, steel. She survived, and her strange ability to summon and manipulate metal developed less than a few weeks later. Ren grew up in the Eastern regions with her mother and three siblings.
Reason for studying alchemy: I wish to follow in the footsteps of my uncle. n.n

Name: Aion Triball

Height: 5"5
Appearance: Hair is a dark purple color that is pulled into a long braid that runs down his back. His eyes are dark red and the pupils are not visible.
Personality: Aion is very quiet and often observes problems and disputes rathre than involving himself. He is not rude but as mentioned before, very quiet.
Clothing: He wears a standard military uniform in the color of his hair.
History: Aion was as a child a great prodigy in alcemy working with his father who had recieved a state alchemist license and the alias "The Metamorphasis Alchemist". His father was a very great alcemist and taught Aion every night. However his father convinced Aion one night to help him in an experiment that would change their lives. His father used his and his son's powers to create a giant chimera that would listen solely to him. It is believed that the chimera's purpose was so the he would be able to take over teh military in place of the feuhrer. The chimera was feared by all until the military actually attempted to fight it. It was then discovered that the chimera was unstable it exploded and when the smoke cleared Aion's father was gone. Aion was 7 years old at this time. For years after he still lived in a nice home with his mother but was subjected to being ridiculed by townspeople because of what his father had attempted. For 6 years Aion's mother told him not to perform alchemy because she didn't want him to end up like his father. It was in this year at age 13 that Aion and his mother finally got a letter saying that his father had lived through the chimera mistake but was soon after executed in central. Aion then applied to the YAA where he specializes in alchemy generating electricity for generating power and battle. He has an alchemic symbol (transmutation sybol) tattood onto his left hand.
Reason for studying alchemy: To prove that he will never end up like his father and excel in alchemy past him.

Name: Aurora Tsuno

Appearance:

Personality: She enjoys talking to people and can be extremely clumsy. Her feelings can be easily hurt when the right buttons are pushed. When people are extremely rude she tends to correct them with her alchemy, much to their (and her instructors') dismay.
Clothing: Almost all of the time Aurora wears her hair tied back in a high pony tail and uses her goggles to hold the shorter part in the front out of her eyes. She usually wears a black t-shirt, black combat boots, and dark, slightly too-big jeans held up with a leather belt. She wears fingerless black leather gloves hide her transmutation circle tattoos from prying eyes. The bottoms of her boots have small spikes that will slide out of the bottom when she puts pressure on the instep near the heal in order to grip on ice. Inside her shirt she wears a small silver pendant on a silver chain which her mother gave her when she was very young which she only wears to remind her of the hell they put her through.
History: She was born in the mountains in northern Amestris to a family which was rather behind the times. When she was fourteen she left without a word and journeyed for just over a year before ending up in Central. She pretty much lived in the bookstores, but when they kicked her out she would sleep on stoops and in alley ways before she discovered the YAA.
Reason for studying alchemy: Aurora studies alchemy to prove to her family once and for all that she can actually do something with her life.

History: Dark comes from Xing, a country far to the east of Amestris, across the Great Desert, and has a Chinese cultural base just like her country. Her family is famous for it's alchemic medicine, but all were killed in a war. Dark strives to become a alchemist doctor and continue her family's skill.
Reason for studying alchemy: Dark is studying for medical purposes.

History: left on the front steps of a young woman who i grew up to know as my mom and i have a sister who is my age. when i was 4 one night i went to go get a glass of water and tripped and hit our bookshelf and a book on alchemy fell down. i couldnt make heads or tales of it so i started out in two year to read more simple books until i could finally read the one the one that fell. i have been studying it ever since and my sister wants to learn alchemy. wehn i was 12 i got my left hand tatooed with my alchemy symbol so i dont need to draw stuff now
Reason for studying alchemy: curiosity when the book fell when i was younger and once i could understand alchemy i began to love it and now i want to be one of the best and join the state.

Appearance: He has Messy, short purple hair (much like his avatar type) which is occationally spiked, though most of the time "pillow hair." His eyes are scarlet red, he has a light build (not overly skinny but still not very muscular), and lightly tanned skin~

Personality: Daisuke is very easy going, and the lazy, calm, procrastinating sort. Generally, he is very cocky, sure of himself, and not afraid to voice his "opinion", though when the going gets tough he tends to give up and spread his negativity. He enjoys being the center of attention, no matter how he gains that postition and can usually be found to act obnoxious and doing outrageous things. He isn't very fond of being told what to do or how to act and is just a bit of a rule-breaker.

Clothing: He is wearing black tennis shoes; loose and ruffled light-brown pants; a black, sleeveless undershirt; a wrinkled, button-up collared long-sleeved white shirt with the top few buttons undone and the collar popped up; a black studded leather collar; a polished golden cross on a sliver linked chain, tucked under my shirt.

History: Daisuke comes from a fairly wealthy family but has been living alone with his mother, a single-parent after his father dies "mysteriously" after researching far into a military matter at Central and just coming across something shocking which supposedly was "lost" within the computer system. Generally, he lives a very boring, systematic and repetitive, but active life in which includes: High School, countless school extra-curricular activities, and sports. Despite his personality, Daisuke still manages to maintain being a top student and athlete but nothing is ever good enough for his pushy mother who just wants to "bring out the best in her little boy." He has no experience what so ever in Alchemy and no idea what it really is other than a few cool "magic tricks."

Reason for studying alchemy: His mother had been pressuring him into doing something productive with his life due to his extreme laziness and he had been given an ultimatum, his other choice being the revealing of an embarrasing personal secret. Being the stubborn type, he wanted to do the one thing she detested. Alchemy. So in spite of all this, he gained satisfaction in worrying his over-protective mother by registering for the Young Alchemist Academy.

She will always be on the lookout, and has suspisions about the military withholding information on her parents, so she has a hard time trusting the military
