((Hope you don't mind I took the liberty of starting something already. xD))
Muris waited outside of Altaea's stall. She knew Equus was in there-- had seen him enter it a few minutes ago, and had thought that this would be a good time for the two of them to talk a bit. There had been some very strange things going on, and while the mouse felt safe having Aquae in the library (particularly upon noticing Ardea's presence there, even if she did not know the other Fey so well) she thought that perhaps the presence of another Fey would set her mind at ease.
Visions of strange things had been tugging at the corners of her eyes. Some horrific, some simply odd. She couldn't make out all of any of the visions-- as soon as she turned to look at them properly, they were no longer there. It was driving the mouse-Fey crazy.

Equus had noticed Muris' presence a little while after she'd settled directly outside of his horse's stall, but the youth's hands were full with panicked horseflesh and he couldn't quite greet her properly.
"Tae, calm down please." He requested of the jittery equine, feeling her muscles jump when his hands touched down, the whites of her eyes visible when she raised her head and snorted. He didn't know what had the mare so spooked, but she'd been as such when the boy had entered the stables, and he could only assume it had nothing to do with him.
His small, rough hands sought out her soothing spots, though he could no more actually remember what they were than he could recall a time before waking in the healer's room. He worked along her neck and flank, applying pressure and noting what seemed to settle her slightly, going back to those once the examination was over. The boy paid particular attention to her withers, the thinnest tendrils of knowledge informing him that almost all horses considered the area a comfort zone.
With the continued pressure and soothing speech, Altaea appeared to ground herself completely, her head dropping in tiny shame as she nuzzled her caretakers chest, nibbling apologetically at his hair.
"It's alright, Tae." He reassured her, letting her mouth at the silvery strands for as long as she pleased. When the mare seemed satisfied, he gave her a quick brush down and examined her hooves for any inconsistencies before exiting the stall with a sigh. The boy couldn't be certain what had his prized friend so scared, but he was beginning to connect all the oddities to his experience with the disappearing door.
"Hello, Miss Muris." He greeted when he saw the mouse, a faint smile gracing his lips. "You were waiting for me?"

The mouse-fey smiled, "Yes..." she brushed a lock of gray-white hair behind one ear, "I was wondering if you'd like to go on a ride? Just you and I, out and about a bit. I've been scouting out some safe areas in the woods just outside the castle and I think we should be okay for it."
Of course, that was assuming she could collect her sanity properly. She flinched briefly as another image flashed at the corner of her eye and she struggled desperately not to look at it. Something was definitely up-- she'd have to go see the King about it later on.

He took the time to peer curiously at his toes when she spoke and smiled, still a bit shy even around someone he had so much in common with. At the suggestion, he nodded and risked a glance up, his gaze emitting a question when he saw her body act as though it were under some strange form of attack.
"That would be nice, Miss Muris." He restated in case she'd missed the tiny inclination of his head, wondering if it would be inappropriate to ask what had her looking so strained. Equus kept silent on the subject for the moment, wishing to see if it would abate or continue outside the stable doors. "I'll set up our horses, if you'd like."

The mouse-fey shook her head, "No, that's all right. I can saddle up Alucina, and you can take care of Altaea. Things will go faster that way."
She didn't stop for argument and went to her horse's stall quickly, saddling up the mare and mounting up as soon as she got her out of the stable. Muris shuddered a bit as another image flashed at the corner of her eye, but determined to ignore it, as it was starting to make Alucina nervous as well.
She waited there for Equus.

Biting back on any protests that clamoured on the tip of his tongue, Equus quickly primed Altaea for a ride, glad that it seemed to lighten the horse's downtrodden spirit. When she was saddled, he led the mare out into the open, watching Muris carefully and concernedly.
He managed to mount the horse by kicking off the side of the stable and using the foot looped in the stirrup to direct his thrown weight. Altaea whickered unappreciatively at the effort as she spread her legs out for greater balance, but forgave the little boy instantly when he produced a slice of sugared fruit from his pocket and held it out from her back as a kind of peace offering.
"Is there anything wrong, Miss Muris?" He asked finally, stroking the side of Altaea's neck as she chewed and watched the surrounding grounds warily. There was definitely something amiss, and it wasn't just in his mind.

Muris sighed, motioning Alucina forward with the barest movements of her legs, "I don't understand. I keep seeing..things..flashes of things, at the corners of my eyes. It has been happening for some time now..."
They entered the forest quickly enough, and the Mouse-fey shuddered as they did. Something did not feel -right- about the forest just now. It was as though they'd entered another realm..

Meanwhile, the Raccoon Fey was romping through the forest, rather enjoying the warm weather and the ability to stretch her legs. She'd been pent up in the castle far too long, and was more than happy to be in the out-of-doors.
She ran on all fours, loping through piles of dead leaves and easily striding over fallen logs. Every now and then, she'd hear an odd sound, like that of the blowing wind. But the forest was still. No wind shook the trees. It unnerved the fey, but she continued on, heading far from Castelleum Umbra.
Soon, she would be in the territory of the Sun Court she assumed, not knowing exactly where the boundary was. She'd never been this far out into the woods, and she knew it was dangerous for her to be doing so.
But she was quick and agile. If she got herself into a bad position, she could most likely get herself out of it.
Hey, at least she felt confident about it.

The little boy tried to comprehend the significance of what the stablemistress was telling him, his mind playing a rather complicated version of connect the dots as he related almost everything that was going on: The missing door, spooked horses and an equally disturbed horsemaster. What was next? Would it be worse or would whatever problem plagued the Fey court eventually disperse of its own volition?
"I do not know how to help you, Miss Muris," He admitted ashamedly, curling his fingers in the ringlets of Altaea's silky mane. "Maybe if I was... if I was like I was before. But I'm not. I could go to Miss Ursa for you, she might have something that would make the flashes vanish."
Equus had no idea how far the resident healer's powers reached, but he desperately wished to be useful to the older, ever-friendly female. He'd had his fill of being worthless, and now he just wanted to prove himself otherwise.

And suddenly, the flashes were gone. They were instead replaced by -real- creatures and real strangeness. The landscape changed completely, all in shades of blue and purple, with odd, silver leaves on the trees and creatures that looked like deformed mixtures of those that would normally be in the forest.
Alucina's eyes rolled wildly, and Muris dismounted, gathering the bridle in her hands and looking deeply into the Fey horse's eyes, "Shhhhh..." she whispered, "It's..okay..I think."
She was a bit nervous herself, though, and while she managed to keep Alucina from bolting, the horse whickered nervously.

Procyon could have sworn she heard something--no, someone--talking. Stopping dead in her tracks, she sniffed the hair, hoping she'd get a hint of who it was. There was the sound of rustling leaves and the wind, but she listened more closely, backing up to a nearby tree, just in case she'd need some cover. She looked around the tree to see if she could possibly see the others who were wandering the woods. What other Moon Courtier would be out here? she asked herself, quite curious as to who it was.
Spot: +6 = NAT 20! xd Listen: +6 +8 = 14 ((oops! I forgot to level her up! I'll do it this weekend.))

About 30 feet away, Procyon could see a pair of Fey she'd never seen before, riding horses, and looking slightly nervous. She could tell that the horse was definitely agitated, and she figured that it was safe to assume that these Fey were not of the Moon Court.
Strange. Why would they come out here? Into the territory of the opposite Court--It seemed like a bad idea in her mind. Perhaps they were lost. Maybe she could help them find their way back. Her mind also wandered to what she might find on them. They looked rather common, quite like she did. She doubted that they had much of value on them, but one never knew.
Loosening the dagger from the sheath strapped to her thigh, she peeked out around the tree again, hoping to hear more of what they were talking about. She was heistant to jump out at them. After all, she didn't want to frighten them. She was simply interested in who they were.

Equus shifted uncomfortably in his seat, sensing the taut muscle in his mare through the saddle even before the scenery changed. He hopped down to join Muris on the ground, stumbling slightly and recovering by leaning one hand on Altaea's neck. The fey horse seemed determined not to react as strongly as the stablemistress' mount, though her head was lowered and her ears pricked back with dislike.
"What happened?" He questioned, stroking the chestnut and white hide beneath his fingers out of habit. He felt very small without Tae's weight under him, exposed and vulnerable. A silvery leaf floated elegantly past his nose, taunting and beautiful, and he quickly realized that they were no longer in the Sun Court.
"Miss Muris, we should turn back." He urged, grey eyes searching the surrounding wood for some sign of impending attack. He could not pinpoint precisely where they were, but the coiled energy centered in his stomach signaled it could be nowhere beneficial to either of them.

Muris sighed. She agreed, in truth, with the other Fey. She realized, though, that she now had very little idea of where they were. While the forest still looked similar, she peered back in the direction from which they had come...and rather than the castle, there was only a huge lake. A -green- lake, at that.
At least the flickering was gone now, however.
"Equus...I'm not sure how to get back," she said softly, "The castle...doesn't seem to exist anymore."
