((Time skippin', beat me if you must XD;; I'll leave it pretty vague as to which den they're in, until I get official word from Tahja))

Hannah sat just inside the mouth of the den. Last she had checked, her mother and siblings were asleep down below. She could smell her father's scent near, but couldn't tell if it was fleeting or not. It had been a short while since their eyes and ears had opened, and Hannah and her siblings had even had chances here and there to nibble away at whatever meat father had brought in from his hunts, but for the most part, the pale, runtish pup still prefered her mother's milk. They hadn't yet been out of the den for very long periods of time, and the small femme's heart ached for freedom.

Giving a small sigh, Hannah lay down, letting her jaw rest neatly atop her petite paws. Her tiny tail thumped behind her, half hoping the faint vibrations and noises might wake someone. The world outside was open and expansive, just begging the pale femme to explore it - but there was no way Hannah was leaving the den alone.

Green orbs casually surveyed the densite, four small paws planted firmly on the ground, miniature tail wagging to and fro in the evening light that glistened nearby the entrance. She'd been trying to fall asleep for quite some time now, but other thoughts had been clouding her head. Brief puppy yawns escaped her maw, alongside tossing and turning gently. Things at the den couldn't be any better for her at this time. Tidbits of sneaks of meat here and there at random intervals, lots of siblings to drown out the option of loneliness, a loving father and mother who took care of her well. Though she'd only dwelled here for a short while, she was a very content little femme, that was for sure.

Her small nose nuzzled against the floor of the den, grazing the surface gently for no particular reason. A miniscule, unimportant sigh released as she now realized that sleeping was beyond her control for this moment. As a matter of fact, the very thing keeping her from sleeping, was something she really couldn't place. A murmur of voices inside herself. Though EXTREMELY young and impressionable, she was quite the special one, being what many would feel smart for her age, even being only a short while old.

She lifted herself to all fours and headed towards the mouth of the den, which really wasn't more than a few steps away practically, but still was a slow trek as she liked to pace herself, where her sister Hannah was apparently laying down. Upon arrival her eyes seemed to almost glow in the dark. It made her happy to just be here. To not have to be alone, and yet, not have to be with a stranger, either. Family was something she held dear, but as to how she'd react around others, she didn't know. She didn't even know, for that matter, who others even WERE, having not left the den on her own yet, and having met nobody aside from her immediate kin. She gifted a few tail wags in greeting to Hannah, eyes smiling gracefully as she lay down beside the pale one. "I can't sleep, and I don't know why..." Her gaze shifted out towards space, or rather, off into nowheresville. All her conscious effort was going calmly into placing the emotion that would keep a puppy from her sleep. At such a young stage in life, no pup should be having these inner discomforts...

The small pup slowed her tail and squeeked as she yawned again. Twilight was beautiful, and she could hear all kinds of soft buzzing and chirping in the distance. A fog had settled in the night, as they slept, and now it tickled the pup's nose and wet her fur the longer she sat exposed. She had moved outside the den to lay in a cooler atmosphere, and her tiny ears stay pricked, alert to the slightest intrusive noise, though she resumed her chin-on-paws position from earlier, and appeared that she may be asleep.

The mist from the fog filtered light in an interesting way, and the pup spent a lot of time making out her surroundings. Looking at things in different ways was very interesting. 'Pretty' thought the mind of the small puppy.

Hannah jumped and whipped her head around as the voice hit her ears. The fact that she had not heard her sister approach was only a brief thought in her mind and quickly dissipated. "I just woke up..." the pup spoke, almost sounding guilty. She had slept for a long time, and had felt very rested when she finally did wake up. "Is anyone else awake?" she asked. Not that her sister's company alone wasn't enough, the pup was merely curious.

As soon as Hannah gave a rather close to startled response to her prescence and words, the pup's mind fell out of place for a brief second, but quickly slid back into its restless position, just as Hannah did so. Nitika licked her paw for a moment and pondered a few things, nearly completely not noticing the question from her sibling. "Oh? I'm sorry. I don't really know if anyone's awake aside from you and I. Did you sleep well?" Her tone remained hushed and calm. It was forming to be her nature to be calm, cool, and collected about things, as time went by.

A circle of sounds filled each second and for a smidge of collection time, she finally began to come to terms with letting her guard drop. The beauty of nature, whether by sound or sight, just simply seemed tremendously amazing.

Hige was not far off, just to one side of the den, actually. He was easily mistakeable for a rock in this lighting. His ears twitched a bit as he heard the voices of their children.

"You girls still awake?" He asked in a sleepy voice.

Inside another bundle of fur found himself rousing as well, ears twitching as he heard the sound of his sisters conversing. A little puppish yawn escaped the oldest, accompanied by a high pitched whimper. How could they still be awake? Ugh.

He grumbled and drew himself in closer to the wall of warmth that was their mother, burying his face between her and one of his other remaining siblings

She felt her brother stirring next to her and opened her eyes after a big, tongue rolling yawn. Even though it only had been a short time ago that she had curled up next to her mother, Naomi felt her endless supply of energy already coming back full force.

After a quick stretch she clumsily bounced over to her father. "Can we watch it get dark daddy? Pleasepleaseplease Pleeease?"

She did her best to look at him in what she hoped was a cute way, her little tail wagging excitedly.

The fuzzy body on the other side of Naomi wiggled, and one pointed ear flickered as the pup listened to the others talking. Rory lifted up his head to give an equally large yawn, and peered about, his nap interrupted by the conversations of the others. Giving his little head a shake, he cuddled closer into his mother's side, giving a little whine.

Why would they want to watch it get dark? The pup didn't like the dark much yet...or at least, the dark outside. It was cold, and damp to boot, and overwhelmed with unusual scents. It was better during the day, felt less...dangerous.

"Oh, well.." The others would be awake soon enough, and the light would finally rise in the sky and there would be things to do again. "At least neither of us are awake alone."

The small pup jumped again, this time at a voice deeper than any of her siblings. Daddy! She knew she had smelled him, but couldn't tell how near he was at the time, and had put it out of her mind. "Nitika can't sleep.. and something woke me up." the reply came quietly as the pale coated pup made her way over to snuggle against Hige's side.

The pup watched as her other sister, Naomi, emerged from the den, and wondered if the other two were also awake. She let her tail thump sleepily, yawning again.

Nitika's ears swayed gently back and forth, perking up at the faint sounds coming from all around. As soon as her father's voice spoke, her eyes lit up almost immediately, though calmly as well. She stepped over towards him, then layed down beside him just in time for Naomi to come buzzing through. Her sister was apparently full of energy and intent on watching it become dark outside. Well now... that was a bright idea. "The view outside must actually be very lovely whenever it's dark. Yes please, let us watch it get dark, father."

With that she flopped onto her side, orbs sparkling with delight at the scenery which lay out ahead of them. She'd heard her sibling's comments, and now seen her snuggling against Hige as well. Still, she hadn't responded. Something else had caught her attention, and with the state of things, she felt it in all's best interest if she kept to herself. The dark didn't bother her at all, and she was beginning to gather sleepiness...

And just like that he found himself swarmed with pups! Hige didn't mind in the least! So far he had only been able to spend a short while with the kids, and found this little gathering to be heartwarming indeed. All three of his daughters all gathered up alongside of him... if only they'd always be this young, but the fact that he was already a grandfather just served to remind him that this was just a father's infantile wish. For now they were still very much dependent on their parents, however, and for now their world included just their family, so for now Hige was at complete and utter peace.

"Your mother probably wouldn't like that you three are up at this hour.... buuut...." He sighed, smiling at the two little bundles at his side and the one before him. "How can I say no to faces like those?"

"Ohbrother." Haru muttered sleepily, listening to his younger sisters working father over outside like a sap. It was so mushy! D<

He sniffed a bit and moved in closer to Rory instead now that Naomi was gone.

Naomi had been sitting down when Nitika spoke up, her attention instantly drawn to her sibling. Being the energetic you pup that she was she could not pass a perfect opportunity to play like that at all. With an unpracticed yowl, she suddenly pounced on Nitika, playfully snapping at her sisters ear.

"Your mother probably wouldn't like that you three are up at this hour.... buuut...." He sighed, smiling at the two little bundles at his side and the one before him. "How can I say no to faces like those?"

That stopped the little bundle of energy mid chomp. "You mean it?"

But she never gave Hige time to answer as she took of running, just a bit further from the group. "YAY!!!!!"

"You said it..." Rory mumbled in response to Haru's critical remark, wiggling over to his brother. He didn't want it so, but he was starting to wake up, too, whining as the pleasant, sleepy feeling gradually drained out of him. He sat up a bit, leaning his head back and using a hind leg to scratch an itch as he peered about blearily.

He plopped back down next to his brother, facing the den exit. Now that he thought about it, his thought process a bit clearer now that he was awake, it was a little tempting to go out. But, it was so cozy inside...hmph. He hated making hard choices. He nibbled on Haru's side, a mischievous look in his eyes, wondering if he would be able to get his elder brother to go outside with him.

Hannah grinned at her sisters, the two seemed to differ so much. She batted a paw out at them as her father decided to let them stay and watch darkness fall, adding her own yip of excitement at his decision. The smaller pup turned and inched forward, intent on 'stalking' her father's tail. She wriggled, almost unable to contain herself, before pouncing into the soft fluffy tail.

Loki's good ear twitched, the big wolf roused from sleep by tiny voices beside her. "Boys, what are you doing?" she questioned the two remaining pups. "Have you let your sisters wander?" she jabbed playfully, lifting her head finally to lick each one from snout to tail. She could smell the others outside the den, and worried about them being alone until catching Hige's voice and scent on the wind as well. Smiling to herself, she lifted and gave the remaining pups a nudge towards the mouth of the den. What were they all doing awake?
