Hey everyone, I just became a member and here I am to introduce myself.
I'd like to say, first off, that as soon as I opened this window I had a sudden mental image of an episode of Pinky and the Brain, where Brain joins Megalomaniacs Anonymous (a parody of AA). The scene where he introduces himself to the rest of the recovering megalomaniacs is the one that immediately comes to mind. So in that spirit:
My (nick)name is Growly, and I'm an...adult.
blaugh But seriously, I'm 25 years old and an avid lover of cartoons, comics, science fiction shows and just about everything else geeky that crosses my path. I revel in geekdom, even if I don't exactly take it to a new level. I'm actually making a meager living by selling artwork - I'm working on a comic for a small press publication as well as a few larger projects which I'm hoping will do well in the near future, we'll see. I'm also planning to go back to school to take classes in animation.
Other than that, there's not much of real interest happening in my life. Despite all my griping about geeks not getting the girls, I have a wonderful girlfriend and two cats (They're hers, really!) who make my life a great deal more interesting than I like it sometimes.
