Anyone seen this musical movie?

At first, I thought, this will be interesting...a chinese musical!? I was expecting a poor not very arty and not very well put together kind of film as I have been disappointed by chinese films in the past.

However, this was a really good film in my opinion. It went beyond my expectations!
At the start I laughed by the incredulity of it all...it was kind of funny how it was kind of a Moulin Rouge take..but then it differed...it got interesting if not slightly confusing....A tale of bittersweet love...

It mixes, the past with the present, and the filming of a musical...it all somehow merges together very well.

And to top it off, not only are the songs great but the actors are pretty good too!

Takeshi Kaneshiro .... Lin Jian-dong (JAPAN/TAIWAN)
-plays an actor

Xun Zhou .... Sun Na (MAINLAND CHINA)
-plays an actor

Jacky Cheung .... Nie Wen (HK)
-plays the director

Jin-hee Ji .... Monty (KOREA)
-is a muse of some sort guiding the other characters along in their love problems
