If you go to YouTube and type Deathnote they have trailers on the movie based on the manga. I personaly think that everything about the characters is kinda bad like Kira or Raito whatever you wish to call him I think they could have done better but I'm impressed by L they did a good job for his part...I don't know when it will be released but I know its made by Warner Brother O.o don''t know why...

Oh yay, Warner Brothers, thy'll probably trash the movie like all the american people do to the anime crying Damn bloody Americans!!

Not Americans... it's Hollywood. domokun I wouldn't do such a thing to DN. gonk Hopefully, Hollywood will put mercy on Death Note and keep it the same? xp
I thought the character casting is good, in my opinion. :3 Esp. Yagami-san's actor... xd

"Dani Califonia" playing on the background I found that very strange...

I think they did a pretty good job... If you think about it, it's extremely hard to find a real person who is an actor that looks like a drawn character.
And I agree, the actor for L looks excellent~ heart
Also, there is a subforum to discuss the movies... .___.;;

Tatsuya Fujiwara...hm..I'll always think of him as Shuya Nanahara..so I dunno about him being Light..
He's a good actor though..that's a plus..

Red Hot Chili Peppers... that really is weird. When I first heard that Tatsuya Fujiwara was in the Death Note movie I thought that he'd be playing L instead of Raito. >.> Although it turned out pretty well, as far as I can tell by the trailers. I love the floating apple. ><;;

I think it's great they made a live action
I would much rather watch it than an anime
I do hope they release it on DVD here!!
even if it's a korean DVD, like what they did with Battle Royale is good enough
