Ra sat outside again. He hadn't wanted to, but his meds were acting up again and the fresh air helped clear his head. For the first time since entering Aquila he did not feel safe, wherever he went he found himself checking around to see if Izumi was watching him or waiting for him. Especially since the incident in the canteen with his friend. Hopefully Montecelli sensei had scared them off for now.
Sighing Ra tried to work on his biology homework. He couldn't focus on it, or write very neatly with his left hand but it was better than lying around in his room feeling sorry for himself. Yawning he put his pen down and stared absently out over the campus.

Aaron had finally worked himself up to stopping by Rashne's room to see how he was, but his roomate had said, with a heavily Spanish accent, that Ra was outside doing his homework.
So now Aaron meandered around the outside of the campus, sort of looking for Ra, sort of trying to find his way around. The campus was as large as most college campuses. He sometimes felt that he never saw the same face twice. He had looked for, but not seen, either Izumi or Makito again.
He schooled his expression to look bored and aloof, not lost. Still, he started to wonder, as he walked around, how long it would take him to get a feel for this place.

Ra looked absently at the students wandering around campus. Most of them boring and undistinguishable form each other. After a few moments of staring they became like one of those magic eye puzzles, a repetition of colours and styles. When you stared at one of those puzzles your eyes would eventually relax and reveal the picture. In Ra's case they spotted one of the nails in the otherwise generic Aquila crowd.
Ra smiled as he spotted Aaron, dressed in his unique clothes and wandering, seemingly confident through the campus. Ra put his pen down and waves in his direction hoping that he would spot him. A friendly face was just the kind of distraction he needed.

Just when Aaron began to think he should start trying to find his way back to his own room and get back to unpacking his wardrobe, he saw a person waving at him.
His initial expression was non-commital, in case the person was not in-fact waving to him. Then he saw it was Ra, and brightened. God, he wanted a cigarette.
He actually trotted over to the other boy. "Rashne!" He stopped beside him and tucked the curls that had fallen into his face behind one ear. Instead of a gold knight, today he had painted a blue rose on his left cheek.
"How's your arm?" He saw that Rashne was writing, and poorly, with his left hand.

"Hey." Ra said moving all his books so Aaron had some space. He was suprised by the full use of his name and remembered they hadn't really had time to do proper introductions when they had last met. "Uh, you can call me Ra is you want." He smiled and then looked down at his arm. "Its not too bad, it's more that I can't do anything until the stitches come out that's winding me up" He admitted with a shrug.
"I have a present for you." He said, reaching into his bag to produce on of those large multipacks of a couple of hundred cigarettes. "That sheould keep you going for ... a couple of days." He smirked and pushed them towards the blonde boy.
((Xiao, I'm gonna get ready to go out, so it might be 10 mins or so before I reply next.))

Aaron dropped gracefully into a crosslegged position next to Ra, his knee just touching Ra's.
He stifled a gasp when Ra pulled out the huge box of cigarette packs. "Sweeet!" he said, taking them gently. He grinned, "Ra. The name of a god." he looked down at the bounty in his hands "Yeah, that's fine with me." He looked back over at Ra, "I don't have any nicknames." richgirl f** fairyboy carny
He took out a pack, tapped it on the palm of his hand, opened it, and tapped it once more so that a single cigarette popped up. He liked showing off for Ra. He took it out and lit it, then peeked at Ra's book.
"Biology, ugh. I'm a fair hand at History and Literature, that's about it. I could write for you if you want to dictate."
That's cool, if you have to go. We can reply here and there over time.

Ra laughed at his opinion of his nickname and watched him tip the cigarette out of the packet. That was cool. "Egyptian right?" He asked starting to close the books. "I'm not so strong at history, more of a science nerd." He shook his head at Aarons offer sn started to pile his books next to him. "I don't want to bore you to death." He laughed. "Though I really appreciate the offer."
Reaching into his bag he produced his own packet of ciggs and pulled one out to light up. "Do you draw those yourself?" He asked flipping his lighter away and pointing to his cheek to show he meant the blue rose. "I notice you had another one the other day. Gold?"

Aaron grinned but looked down, uncomfortable with being so close to someone but enjoying it. "Yeah, I do. Tattoos are cool but you can't change them every day." Their free wrists, resting on their knees, looked elegant together. Ra's skin was lovely, tea colored. "I like blue roses. They're impossible."

"It's a cool idea." Ra said, staring out over the campus as he took a drag on his cigarette. "Though I think I'd go for a tattoo. I can't draw to save my life."
He smirked and flicked some of his ash onto the grass. "What do you mean impossible? To draw?"

With Ra's gaze elsewhere, Aaron relaxed again. The nicotine made him feel sharp and calm. So much effect from a few drags, heh, a sure sign he hadn't been smoking much since their move to Japan.
"No, impossible to create, or breed or whatever. People have been trying for years. You can get a rose of almost any color, but not blue." He chuckled sadly to himself, "I like impossible things. I try to believe at least six impossible things before breakfast."
Ra would look good with a tattoo. "If you wanted one, a tattoo I mean, I could design one for you."

Ra blinked and looked back at him thoughtfully. "Huh, I always thought there were blue roses." He said with a smile. "But I suppose I've never seen one." He raised an eyebrow in thought. He liked that idea, believe six impossible things before breakfast. Maybe he would try tomorrow. "What did you believe this morning?" He asked casually moving his foot to an unheard rhythm.
At Aaron's offer he looked up at him and grinned. "You know I've been thinking about getting one. And that would be cool, though only if you want to. I wouldn't want to give you any trouble."

"This morning?" Aaron watched a crowd of girls walk by and look them over. "I believed that I would fit in, that my father would come see how I was doing, and that I will be getting an A in math." Actually, I was thinking about you. Everything I imagined is impossible. "Sorry, that came out bitter." He took another long drag.
"I'd love to design a tattoo for you. I should probably know what sort of things you'd want first though. I could even paint it on you first, so you could wear it for a day and see if you liked it."

"No, that sounded normal." Ra said flicking more ash away and smiling. He could see Aaron becoming one of his closer friends, he was so easy to talk too. "Or at least like something I might say, if you could class that as normal." He gave a wry smile and shrugged. "Though fitting in is overrated and I can help you with math if you want? I'm a math geek too."
Ra tried to think about what he would like for a tattoo. It was something he had always wanted. "Uh I'm not sure what I want, or where to have it." He stared out over the campus again trying to think. There were so many places it would be impossible to have it. "It has to be somewhere my parents won't see. I like an easy life. What do you think?" He asked enthusiastically. "I mean you're an artist, what kind of designs are good?"

Math tutoring...that sounded like an invite to spend more time together. This guy seemed sincere. It kind of scared Aaron, but he wasn't going to freak out. Not this time. "I'd like that. Thanks. I could help you out with History at the same time maybe. I know a lot, as long as it happened before the Renaissance."
He gladly used the excuse to look Ra over, head to toe. "Well, if you don't want your parents to see it," he grinned widely "That leaves a lot of space." He personally liked tattoos just below the collarbone or on shoulderblades. "I'd say midback or thigh. Though if you're willing to wear collared shirts," he touched Ra's collarbone lightly, "here is a fun place. As for design. Well, I wouldn't draw a skull with a snake coming out of it or something cliche like that. Something just black but ornate, viney lattice work, like the stuff over windows in Mughal architecture."

"That would be cool." Ra said scraping the end of the cigarette out on his shoe and placing it on the packet next to him. "The only old culture I know properly is Persian one. My dad's militant about me learning my heritage."
He listened to Aaron talk about tattoos with interest and tensed as he touched him on the collar bone. Nope still not over the touching thing. He thought to himself swallowing and looking up. "I ... er." He paused and frowned at himself. Such an idiot. "I have, uh ... lots of scarring on my chest and back." He looked down at the grass again and sighed. "But thigh sounds cool, my back might be all right it depends how big it would be I suppose." He looked up again and smiled. "I like that design idea too. Not too fussy or usual. Do you have any tattoos? Apart from your drawn one?"
