Yeah! This is the first roleplay thread in the guild, storyline created by yours truly! 4laugh
Okie dokie, here's how it kinda goes. My rp character, Gwin, (anyone recognize that name? ;o) and her friends/whoever go to school in a boring town in the United States. Woohoo. However, some of her friends seem to be a bit strange and... out of place. And it turns out... they're characters from Tales of Symphonia! They're actually in our world from the Tales of Symphonia world(s) trying to find... something... or someone.... I honestly don't know. RPs just kinda unfold, I guess. So... who wants to join? I think you can have creative control over one of the original characters and a new roleplay character, but I guess it doesn't really matter. (Did I happen to mention how cliched this will probably be? Sorry, but I've been dying to make this storyline...) Just post to join! blaugh

Fuu, it's late, and I feel like writing. I'll go ahead and start, then. 3nodding
Gwin slammed her locker shut, mercilessly stuffing books and loose papers into her backpack. Dammit, just another... week and a day, and I'll be out of this hellhole, she thought. The jocks had copied off her paper in math again today, and she hadn't done anything about it... She couldn't take it anymore. As the scene replayed over and over in her head, she could think of the exact things to say to really piss them off. But why couldn't she say it when they were face-to-face? Why did those words stay locked in the back of her throat, however much they yearned to be free? She sighed, and cranked her cd player up as loud as it would go. An iPod was out of the question; way too expensive. At least with this, I won't have to listen to the morons on my bus. Her cd player was one of her lifelines to sanity, along with her computer and sketchbook.
The music suddenly grew dim and fuzzy. Her ears were instead filled with the horrific noise of fabric being shredded. The load on her shoulders was lifted as a gash spread across the bottom of her messenger bag. Papers and books spewed everywhere, as if her backpack had exploded instead of just tearing. Muddy footprints stamped themselves across the latest pages in her story, rough sketches in colorful inks were torn and whisked away like falling leaves.
No one had even given her a second glance.
Clutching the ruined skeleton of her prized Fullmetal Alchemist messenger bag, (copyright Hiromu Arakawa and Funimation, bag by MYTHwear [/disclaimer]) a soft beeping filled her ears. The batteries in her cd player had given one last feeble burst of life, and died. She felt hot tears sting at the corners of her eyes. No... I won't give them the satisfaction of seeing me cry. Plastering an empty determined look on her face, she set about the task of collecting her papers.

((Ran-Chan wants to join in, and she wants to control Kratos. heart Hee hee. I have ideas for this RP. And I'll make my namesake's character human for this RP, as I have ideaaaas... infact, I'll use her human name. My name!))
Randi saw what happened from afar, and as one of the guilty party members passed her, she snatched up the boy by his collar, giving him a very dirty glare. "What the hell is your problem?" she demanded in question, feeling the side of her own messenger bag embriodered with Rurouni Kenshin to pull out a heafty math book. "I saw what you did to that girl. You won't get away with this."
The boy didn't tremble like she had planned, but she lifted the book with her right hand and slammed it down on the boy's face. Blood spurted from his nose, and his cheeks bruised.
"You'll never do that again. Understand?!"
The boy finally gave the nod of affirmation like she wanted, and she threw him to the ground. He quickly ran off with his buddies, and Randi dusted herself off, walking over to the innocent victim to help her recover from such a wound.
"Oh, this is wonderful," she sarcasticly said to the girl she'd never spoken to before. "Don't worry. That punk won't touch your stuff again. I know it's not much help, but..." She gathered up some papers and handed them neatly to Gwin. "...I can't stand to see someone suffer like that. Not an anime fan like you, at least!"
Off in a nearby corner, someone had been watching the whole scene. Both the girls and the bullies. There was something about those two. He could tell just by feeling the flow of their mana.
Both of them seem to have just what we've been looking for, he thought to himself, doing all he could to be inconspicuous. As if they both come from... our world...
((I GOTS ME IDEAS! And you could call this "Tales of High School" or something...))

((OMG Randi I love. 3nodding xd I'll title it, then, even though I'm still stuck in middle school. gonk ))
Gwin looked up at the friendly, though admittedly somewhat violent newcomer. "Th-thank you," she said, taking the papers from her outstreched hands. She was trying to think if she had ever seen the girl before. Then it hit her: upperclassman.
Taking off her hoodie, she carefully wrapped up the papers and tied the sleeves across, making a temporary backpack. She looked at the pitiful remains of her beloved bag. "It's alright, I can sew it up." The girl's backpack came into view, and the bright embrodery lifted her spirits somewhat. "Well... you're an anime fan, you should know what cosplaying is, right? I've done some pretty tricky stuff trying to sew cosplay costumes, so I'll be okay." Her face flushed. "I mean, it's not like I'm trying to brag or anything..."
Suddenly, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. I feel like I'm being watched or something, she thought. But that's way too cliched. I read too much manga.

((Randi.... You called him first.... Aw well. Yeah, if you don't know, this is Kratostheangel, and he is in a sub account. Therefore, he uses Kratostheangel's custom character!))
Chris, The new student, who had just seen Randi and the boy have their little talk, walked straight up to him. "Why, exactly, did you do that?!" The boy just glares. "Shut up, new kid." He replied coolly. " Chris just glares at him, and shoves him away. "I'll deal with you later..." He replied, and walked over to Randi and Gwin. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked. "My names Chris, and I'm the new student. That guy," He points to the boy, "Is a jerk. When exactly does the school day end?"

Gwin glanced down at her cuffwatch. "Um... now. But I think... I missed my bus. If you haven't noticed, the only people left are us and the cheerleaders." Peppy yells and girly shrieks rang through the hallways. It was enough to make her sick...
"Well, I guess I had better be going... Even though I don't quite know where my house is from here... So I'll go now." She grabbed her bundle and stood up from her previous bent-double position on the floor.

"Here, you can borrow my bike. As to how to get home, do you know your address? I may not know the school, but I know the streets fairly well." Chris says. As I wander them a lot at night... He thought. Why do I feel like I'm being watched?

A scraggly piece of paper was produced from somewhere in her pants pockets. "Um, I live here... I have to write it down because I have such a terrible sense of direction." She handed it to him. "Oh, and don't mind the bite marks on the edges."
She was profusely grateful for Chris letting her borrow his bike, but for some reason leaving the building and walking the streets alone felt... unsafe. "D-do you think you could, um, walk with me-- part of the way or something?" she said in a nervous twitter that sounded nothing like her.
Oh crap. He'd better not think I'm hitting on him.
"I mean, it's just that... Oh, I dunno. It would sound stupid if I told you. You'd think I was mental. And you're probably right," she said, before continuing in a softer voice, "I feel like somebody is... watching me. Or something." A squeak that meant to be a laugh escaped her throat. "Pretty dumb, huh?"

Chris shrugged. "You mean over there?" He points behind Gwin. "It's not just you, I feel the same thing. I thought I was mental as well. Well, are you ready to go?" Chris hoisted his fairly lightweight backpack up. "I'll take you home. I have nowhere else to be." He says, sounding sort of sad. "Well, let's go."Chris wanders outside and unlocks his bike. "I think your house... Is North of here." He leans against the wall and waits for Gwin to catch up.

Gwin flushed again and produced another scrap of paper from the depths of her pockets. Scribbling a few things down, she gave it to Randi. "There's my e-mail and phone number. In case something comes up... or you want to talk or whatever." Yeah, like that'd happen. I barely have a phone, people call me so often.
She jogged to catch up with Chris. "Okay, so north is..." she spun around a bit, and then gave up and checked her clip-on watch/compass. "That way."
They walked in silence for a while before she asked, "What did you mean you have nowhere else to be? Is it, like, you haven't joined a sports team and have no where to practice, or what?" She hated to admit it, but she pitied the poor guy. He always acted so sad... She couldn't stand just leaving someone like that.

It was silent for a moment. "I... I'm an orphan. Never knew any family, don't have any friends..." Silence....Wait- Chris' head perked up. "Did you hear that?" He asked, reaching for his backpack. "I could swear I heard something behind us... Probably nothing. C'mon, let's go." Chris looked back a final time, then continued onward. "Thanks for your e-mail and phone..." He said to Gwin, a little more cheerful. I think I just made my first friend... He thought.

Gwin decided it would be best to talk of somthing other than being an orphan. "Well, all I ever do is get online and do stuff there. I hardly have a real life. But my life online is great." She didn't want to go into detail. "So... where do you stay?" she asked. "I mean, with no parents..." she trailed off. With no parents... what? What exactly can I say to make him feel better? "Nothing," she whispered. "Nothing."

Chris looked down slightly. "I don't have a home... Actually, I usually sleep in that tree over there..." Chris points to an old oak. "And don't worry about talking about me being an orphan, it feels kinda nice to actually know someone who would ask..." He stopped in front of a house. "Is this yours?" He asked Gwin.

"Yep. Ugly blue color and everything." It was kind of surprising to learn that a guy this nice slept in a tree no more than 20 feet from her house. It made her feel depressed but happy at the same time. Walking up the stairs to her door, she turned around to face him.
"Ya' know... the window to my room will be unlocked anytime. If it's like raining or something... Just knock first."

Chris smiled at that. "I'll keep that in mind..." He said as he climbed up into the tree. "Seeya tomorrow at school?" He asked, chaining the bike to the tree trunk, hanging upside-down from a branch. Crack! "Uh-oh..." He sighed, looking up at the limb he was on. The branch snapped cleanly in half, dropping Chris headfirst to the ground. "Oof! I feel so stupid..." He muttered grimly.
