Quote: Great news for RPG fans! NIS America will work with Gust Co., LTD. to bring you Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~. Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ is the sixth installment in a popular line of alchemy-based simulation titles. The game is still under approval process by Sony, but if it is approved, Iris will arrive to our shores! We are confident that NIS fans will enjoy Iris and we certainly love to bring it over, but we need your help. Voice your opinions (good or bad) about Iris on forums to give Sony a reason why the title should be published here in the States! Also let us know if you would like to see Iris arrive to our shores or not. Link to Atelier Iris: (We apologize for not having an English site yet) http://www.salburg.com/products/a6/index.html http://com4.runboard.com/bnisamerica.fannouncements.t1 They HAVE gotten the game approved. I've looked up a few Atelier websites so far. Looks very nice. 3nodding

Is it related to Altier Maerie (SP?)? I've actually collect a couple wallpapers and pics from that just because I liked them. Ooh, I'm loving your pictures, I love the art and character designs for Atelier Iris! I would for sure get that game! heart Woo, that logo with the test tube is kinda raunchy tho! sweatdrop

Yup, they're related. My brother tells me that each in the series is named after the female alchemist in them... or something like that. In Atelier Iris though, the female alchemist has passed away, and Krein (male hero) must live up to the alchemist name. RPGamer has a page about Atelier Iris that I found. 3nodding EDIT: I also found an article from the NIS America website. Quote: ATELIER ~ETERNAL MANA~ U.S. RELEASE ANNOUNCED NIS America Unveils the Upcoming Strategy Role-Playing Game
Anaheim, Calif. (September 8, 2004) - Leading strategy role playing game publisher NIS America Inc. announced today its plans to release Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ (Working Title) for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. The North America release of Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ is scheduled for 2005.
"The Atelier series by Gust is highly rated by players in Japan. We truly believe that not only will fans of Phantom Brave, Disgaea, and La Pucelle enjoy Atelier Iris, but those who are fans of strategy RPG in general. We are very excited about delivering this latest installment of the series to the United State, please look forward to Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~, (Working Title)" said Haru Akenaga, president of NIS America, Inc. Developed by Gust Co. LTD., Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ (Working Title) is and SRPG like none other on the PlayStation®2. Create your own item and weapons each with unique powers, appearances and abilities. Experience an epic adventure filled with a powerful story and ominous intrigue. Battle vicious monsters where your mastery of weaponry and spell is the only thing between you and ferocious beasts.
About Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ (working Title) The world of Regallzine, the dwelling place of the Great Sprit, Mana, is comprised of three continents surrounded by a vast sea. Within the world of Regallzine, the Esviore region has been under the rule of King Slaith. However, King Slaith's ruling powers over South Esviore began to diminish about 100 years ago. Today Sounth Esviore is no longer under the king's rule. Each city and town in South Esviore rules its own land. Kavoc is the largest of these cities.
Players will take on the role of a young alchemist named Krein Kiesling. Krein will be traveling the world of Regallzine to unlock the hidden secrets of alchemy.
Features Customize your weapons and items with help of spirits called Mana. Beautifully hand drawn 2D backgrounds combined with detailed character animation. There are over 300 creatable items. Action controls allow players to run, jump, and attack like in an action game. Hope that clears some things up a bit and gives some more information. ^^; Again, thanks for the news, Achan~

The game was intertaining and all but it was too short for my taste and I dont know why but I felt like there was somehting missing from the alchemy system.
