This is the journal of Daichi and Nauticah, a Kybernetik and Caretaker from the shop Kybernetika. It is to serve as a record of their experiences together.
Please do not post here unless you are Nauticah, the Kybernetika Shop mule, or have Nauticah's permission.

:.: Introduction :.:
Welcome to my Kybernetika journal, A.K.A. "The Adventures of Daichi, Nauticah, and Friends".
...admittedly a ridiculously cheesy title that could also easily be replaced with something to do with Zwart (the coco) and Gwyn (the kiki). Either way, this is my journal of the life between Nauticah and her Kybernetika, Daichi. As any good story, given I am a writer, so this will be more like a story in pieces, there will be a few characters that pass through here. Two of them will probably be my two 'mule' accounts, Spice (Sp!ce account, whenever I feel like designing her...again) and Matty (vogelgeist2 account), along with DarrionLeaf (played by my RL boyfriend, Tyler), and other friends.
The story is simply the life of Nauticah and Daichi, ranging from the usual mundane things to the absolutely absurd plots that remind readers that literally anything can happen in Gaia.

:.: Characters :.:
Nauticah is Daichi's "mother", having signed up for the Kybernetika adoptions merely because Silverah, her close friend and neighbor, had. She's rather quick to act, and seemingly quick to forget things as well. "Nauti", for short, although never called such in front of Daichi, has a boyfriend, named Darrion, who did not know of her investment until a day or so before Daichi was 'born', persay. Zwart and Gwyn are her loyal and mischevious cat-duo, causing mayhem and havoc as they please. Daichi is her son, though she treats him more like a younger brother. She has severe issues keeping up with him, and also, his sports. She knows absolutely nothing about sports, yet, she has a child prodigy in soccer *and* baseball. By trade and ability she is a fanciful writer and computer techie, so Daichi is a stark contrast to her, but nevertheless she tries to make sure he is happy and taken care of well.
Daichi is the newest member of the insane family, though surprisingly enough probably the most sane. Unless you count the fact that he is a kybernetika, or an android child, essentially. He started life as a chip, probably nearly losing his computerized self a few times for Nauticah's clumsiness and Zwart's intent to murder the child. Daichi was apparently designed for sports, a poor choice for the computer techi Nauticah who usually has trouble keeping up with him. Daichi knows this, but given his young age, he has yet to entirely comprehend it. He loves his mother, even though she's not perfect and absolutely is horrid at sports.
Zwart and Gwyn are Nauticah's mischevious cats. Zwart, the coco kitty, was found on the backalleys of Durem, clinging to a letter. He's older than Gwyn, and yet, none the wiser. Zwart dislikes others in the majority, even Nauticah sometimes. But, down deep inside, Zwart loves everyone. He just has a strange way of showing it. Oh, and he wishes to take over the entirety of Gaia with nothing but a spork and a sack of catnip. Naria is his batting toy. Gwyn is Zwart's younger, yet wiser kiki brother. He was given to Nauticah as a present from her friend "Gum-Gum", who warned her not to open the Christmas box that was occasionally wiggling. Gwyn keeps Zwart in line the best he can, and he acts well beyond his years... Which typically is a downfall in Zwart's eyes. Gwyn usually keeps to himself, but, when called upon, will answer and act. Gwyn also would be the Chess champion if he werent' just a "plushie".
Naria is a Squiddle, owned actually by both Nauticah and her friend, Sp!ce. Naria is a unicorn squiddle at that, and one of the few who doesn't just squeak but occasionally will cry out a legible word. Typically; "goal", "food", "hungry", "ZWAAART!", and probably a few curse words, but she doesn't realize they're wrong. She is only big enough to fit in Nauticah's palm. Thus so, she makes the perfect size batting toy for Zwart.
Darrion is Nauticah's nature-happy boyfriend. He's also slightly insecure and certainly not sure if Nauticah was in her right mind when she decided to be a mother at such a young age. He simply went with it anyway. Darrion is calm and well-mannered, even with heated discussions he makes his point diliberate and clear. Others respect his tenacity for a good discussion and the fact he rarely turns things into an arguement. His dog is Trawz, given to him by Nauticah. (Darrion is played by DarrionLeaf)
Trawz, simply put, is Zwart's arch nemesis. The mochi pup is happy, carefree, cute, lovable, snuggly... Everything Zwart hates. Trawz is smarter than he acts, and knows quite a few commands, especially fetch. He loves fetch.
Spice is Nauticah's sister, and is...blind. She was attacked by something, but Spice doesn't remember, and it burned her face, and her eyes. She wears a blindfold over her eyes to hide the scarring. Spice at one point in her life was a sassy and lively woman, but in recent months (and probably an indirect after-effect of her blindness) she has calmed considerably. Nauticah gave her Fredrick, her gwee, as a seeing-eye guide. Spice hopes to soon obtain a walking staff, but she has yet to bother getting one. (Sometimes played by Sp!ce, my mule account, other times just played by me.)

:.: Worlds :.:
Weird title, but this'll actually describe areas a bit more. E.G.: Nauticah's house and her neighborhood, Matty's shop, and anyplace else that needs describing.
((Finally, I posted something here. XD))
. Daichi's Room.
Daichi's room is the loft upstairs from the main living area, and the main part of the room is over Nauticah's room. He can look over the half-wall (which is the wall facing southwest on the image) and see the corridor and dining nook. Although his room was very cleaned up when Squish took this picture, it's typically a bit messy. He has a thing for that gigantic carrot...

:.: Daichi . Day 1 :.:
The door swings open in Kybernetika labs, two cats of black and white strutting their way into the lobby. Zwart, the shorter black cat with orange eyes, launches off the floor and skillfully lands on the desk. Gwyn, the long and elegant white cat with blue eyes, simply sits down on the floor in a gentlemen-like manner. A few moments later a young woman entered. Her black hair was messy and pulled into a twisted bun that frayed everywhere. She pushed her tiny black sunglasses back over her orange eyes, glancing around the shop idly as she walked in, her boots clunking loudly with the tile. On her face were odd stripes, two on each cheek, that ran down past her chin.
"Hello? Doc? You said you wanted to see me?" She called out. Zwart had sat down in front of the computer, and one could swear he was...
"Ooh yeaah...sexah little kitten..."
Gwyn groaned and flopped over on his side in angst. Nauticah glared over at her obnoxious cat, and waved her hand at him. "Zwart?! What do you think you're doing?!"

Doc Albert The Doc hurries in, hastilly flinging his grimy lab coat onto the desk chair. His grey hair is more askew than usual and he seems to be holding something. He glances at Nauticah and nods.
"Yes, I did."
He extends his hand, palm up, showing Nautica a computer chip about the size of several playing cards stacked together. "This is for you. It contains Mischief - or as you're calling him, Daichi's - personality data. It's very basic right now, but the chip has rudimentary input sensors. So in the next few days it will build up. He's very formative right now."

Nauticah raised her eyebrow for a moment, bending down slightly to examine the chip she had paid 10,000 gaian gold for.
"He's a chip, Doc..." She said as she rose back up, and then she placed her hands on her hips. Zwart and Gwyn, as if cued to do such, both slinked to either side of her as she stood.
"A pretty chip a'beit, but a chip nevertheless. I guess this would be as though a baby would during a pregnancy? So...can he hear us?"

Doc Albert Doc repeats the question. "Can he hear us? Yes. Hearing's his best sense at this point. And as for the price, it will all be worth it when he grows in a week. As for your analogy, yes. That's exactly it."
He turns to go. "Now, I have to get back to work. Take good care of him."

Doc left the room, leaving Nauticah, Zwart, and Gwyn standing there slightly confused.
"I'm sorry I called you a chip, Daichi..." Nauticah said softly as she held the chip in her hands gently.
Zwart hopped up on Nauticah's shoulder, staring down at the shiny piece of AI intelligence with a devilish sparkle in his eye. "Wonder if he can feel anything..."
Gwyn quickly hopped upon the other shoulder. "Yes, I would think he could. But...he can most certainly hear us. Thusly, he knows there is a probable chance that if any exterior damage were to befall him, it would be caused by you."
Zwart swallowed. "Why do you have to always be so damn smart?"

:.: Still Day 1 :.:
.Durem.
Daichi, still a chip, was being cradled in Nauticah's small palms as she walked aimlessly around Durem. The day was waining, and Nauticah still had a ways to go before she would arrive back home. Zwart and Gwyn followed their owner loyally, like a pair of mochi-pups would.
"We need to get something to put Daichi in so he's safe." Nauticah said as she stared at the chip. "I mean...you'd like to come along with me, wouldn't you Daichi?"
"I don't think he could talk back," Zwart grumbled. "Even if he could, he'd prolly just coo and gurgle like a baby."
At about that time, the threesome stopped at pure random right in front of a small mechanical shop that was nestled between the tall buildings. It was a bit shabby; the bricks were worn down and the morter was cracked, the windows looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in months, but a small neon OPEN sign was in the window of the rusty door, so Nauticah simply walked in.
The shop was cluttered with parts of computers, parts of droids, parts of...well anything that is electronic. She covered Daichi up gently with her fingers, not wanting him to 'see' the torn-down computers and droids--even if she was sure he couldn't see. Behind a cement counter in the back of the store was a young boy, probably no older than Silverah, with lime green hair sticking out from under a brown and white fishing hat with a black fish on the front. He was slumped down in his seat, obviously asleep. Gwyn hopped up on the counter, glancing down at the boy before returning his gaze to Nauticah.
"He's asleep, should we wake him?" Gwyn whispered.
Nauticah shook her head, and continued her way around the shop quitely. Zwart, on the other hand, decided to be his usual annoying self. He snuck around the counter as if after a small rat, slinking low to the ground with his shoulders protruding from his back. Gwyn was not paying any attention, rather he was gazing around the shop sleepily. A swift leap led to a sudden screech from behind the counter, which then followed with Gwyn hissing and racing away to Nauticah, a clatter of machinery being knocked off by the flailing boy, and Nauticah jumping so badly her Daichi chip was thrown from her hands.
"DAICHI!" She cried, falling forward just in time to catch Daichi in her hands. She curled up, holding Daichi close in a mother-like mannerism.
The boy got to his feet, having to use the counter for support, and glanced around the shop. "Daichi?" He murmured as he brushed himself off. "Oh! Ma'am? You okay?"
"I'm fine....I think Daichi is too..." Nauticah said with an exasperated tone as she got to her feet and walked back over to the counter, still clutching Daichi in her hands. "I think my cat, Zwart, woke you up. I'm sorry..."
"Nah...I needed to wake up anyway..." The boy replied sheepishly with a bright blush on his face as he adjusted his geeky glasses. He was wearing a striped green shirt, a tie, and around his wrist was a checkered terrycloth band, and he had on black jeans. He glanced around him, realizing just how much of a mess he had created. "...and I needed some work to do anyway. So! How can I help you today?"
"I need something to protect Daichi..." She replied, opening her hands up slightly and revealing the large chip within her hands. "He's a chip, I know, but...he's my Daichi, and I don't want him getting hurt."
He took off his glasses and cleaned them quickly before re-examining the chip. "Yeah, you wanna carry it with you or what?"
"Needs to be breathable," Nauticah replied, "because he can hear us. And also I want to keep it on me."
The boy walked around the counter, and back into the shop, quickly zipping past Nauticah, Gwyn, and Zwart to a particular shelf on the back wall. After a few moments, he returned and held up a large bag. It was dark in color, and looked somewhat like a messenger back, but the band was thick, and had a square pouch on it, just fit for Daichi's chip.
"This might work...it's kinda dusty, no one buys these bags anymore..." He sat the bag up on the counter, and beamed back at Nauticah. "Do you want it?"
With a nod and a quick exchange of hands with gold and the bag, Nauticah quickly slung the back around her shoulder and placed Daichi in the pouch on the strap. The boy leaned back forward, his curiosity slightly overwhelming his usual lazy demenor.
"What is Daichi, anyway?"
"Oh? He's a robotic child...right now he's just a chip, he's growing...like as if he was a fetus, y'know? He can hear us. So...what is your name? In case we ever come back, Daichi might remember you."
"Me? I'm Matty." He blushed brightly when he replied to her. "And you?"
"Nauticah..." She replied before glancing down at her pocketwatch, which read 7 PM. "Oh damn... I gotta go! I better be back home before it gets dark! Thank you!"
And with that, Nauticah, Gwyn, and finally Zwart, raced out of the shop before Matty even got to reply. Matty waved sadly, but hoped he might see the girl again.

:.: Day 3 :.:
.Outskirts of Barton, Zip 1996, Sector 9.
Nauticah's home was small and only consisted of three rooms; the bathroom, which was rather cramped, the kitchen which had just the bare essentials and a microwave; and then the main room, which was her bedroom, she had yet to invest in seating. Not many ever came by Nauticah's house anyway, but she really didn't mind, she usually walked over to Silverah's, who was just behind her house. Her room was very blue, her blue candy-striped bedding was neatly made on the steel-frame bed, the walls were a sky blue, the carpet was a deep rich blue color and was very lush. The rest of the room was steel, including steel shelving and a steel round table right in the middle of her room, the 'catch-all' of the house.
She was laying on her carpet, listening to some electropop blasting from the G9 laptop that sat on the table. Daichi was beside her, laying on a pillow. Thankfully Zwart was asleep on the refridgerator or he might've tried to use Daichi as a batting toy.
Gwyn was layed across Nauticah's chest, purring as he was being stroked idly. "Gwyn, what do you think of Daichi?"
Gwyn glanced over at the small chip, and then curled his legs under himself. "Well, he's...odd. So what, he stays this way or...?"
"No, supposively Doc is working on his body... I hope anyway. I wonder if I'll even be able to take care of a child...I can barely take care of myself... But Silverah seemed so excited when she heard about Doc and what he was doing...and she seems to do well with Darsais."
Gwyn yawned, and hopped off his owner, pracing elegantly over to Daichi before sitting down next to him. "Daichi, don't worry, Nauticah underestimates herself."
"I do not."
"Do too, like your art..."
"...but I suck!"
"And your writing..."
"But it's atrocious."
"Darrion seems to like it..." Gwyn retorted.
"Riiiiiight, Darrion's also my boyfriend and... Oh crap..."
"You haven't told him, have you?" Gwyn questioned, and Nauticah's pale face let him know right off the bat she hadn't.
"Well he'll be by later today." Nauticah replied, swallowing a moment later as a blue haze of embarrassment crossed her face. "He'll like him I know..."

DarrionLeaf Day 3
Outskirts of Barton, Zip 1996, Sector 9 A few hours later...
Darrion crouched over a Pink Carnation, plucking it gently before inhaling it deeply. He smiled and chuckled, slipping the flower into his bag. Some found his peculiar intrest into flowers out of place. But to him, it was simply natural. His parents ran a florists shop, and he spent many summers at the Leaf and Petal shop in his youth. He closed his bag gently, looking up and smiling. He pushed off, running towards his better half's home. His puppy, Trawz, followed intently. In truth, he was chasing behind Darrion's scarf, which fluttered in the wind as he ran. His whip was coiled on the hip, it's usually flaming tip dorment in it's stored state. He halted a few steps from Nauticah's home, Trawz tripping over his own feet and tumbling foreward past him as he did.
Darrion winced as he saw Trawz go, but the puppy simply landed in a relaxed sitting position, tail wagging happily and tongue hanging loosely. The young man chuckled, crouching to scratch his pup's ears before loosening his scarf around his neck and knocking on the door.
"Nauti, it's me."
