Akamu is currently...
*going to be a father!*

Name: Akamu
Meaning: Old Hawaiian name meaning "Of the Red Earth"
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: September 14
Age: Adult
Rank: Gamma
Pack: Seaside Pack - Alphas: Hige and Loki
Family:

Mate: Lavena
Mother: Naomi
Father: Vahn
Brother: Hige
Sister: Elda
Sister: Brekke
Brother: Shawn
Legacy: Adopted Son; Helaku
Blood Sons; Iye, Conan, Saburo, Kano, Kei
Blood Daughters; Carey, Marissa, Aizza

Former Pack: Forced to separate... searching for them.
... Or is that really what happened? Concentrating on his new pack more now, but will never forget..

Eyes: Almost ice blue, may look gray in certain moods and lights
Pelt: The entire underside of his pelt is a sort of dry, sandstone color that blends into a redder brown not quite the color of clay. The tip of Akamu's tail is covered in an even darker, earthier brown that also covers his muzzle, making a sort of mask for this withdrawn wolf. The fur on his back darkens considerably as it reaches his spine, though it never becomes quite as dark as his mask.

Likes: Honorable behavior, young wolves, Lavena, his brother.
Dislikes: Rudeness, cruelty, mistreatment of the young and very weak, falsehoods
Beliefs: Akamu, in short, puts everyone's happiness before his own. He will do anything within his power to keep others from being sad- especially pups. Wolf cubs have top priority in his mind, being the promise of the lupine future and all. He has a strict code of morals as well, and will follow them to a fault. Many things are black and white to him, without much room for shades of gray. Also, Akamu hates to fight- he sees no sense or need for it more often than not. There are only a few things that will prompt him into battle with another wolf.

Personality: Akamu is a quiet wolf, and will not speak much unless spoken to first.. even then he is a wolf of few words, and formal ones at that. He favors actions and body language over the spoken communication, preferring to keep things as simple as possible. Unfortunately, it almost never turns out that way. When one becomes friends with him, though, he becomes quite open- sometimes displaying the mannerisms of a puppy. Akamu has a strict code of rules he governs himself by, and naively expects others to have already come to the conclusion that those rules were good for them as well, which sometimes leads to confrontation with the unlucky earth-colored male. He is very loyal though, and a bit gullible. He will fight, if he sees the need to do so, but he would much rather avoid physical confontations.

- Friends and Enemies -

- Friends -

~ Suzaku ~ Suzaku is Akamu's first friend since he was separated from his pack, and so has become quite precious to him. He's beginning to see her as a daughter, or baby sister figure. Recently, she found one of her brothers... and her company was spurned again. Akamu appeared to comfort her, and it seems to have helped. He is very concerned for her, and doesn't yet know about the pack she wants to start with her friends, including Helaku.

~ Helaku ~ Laku seems to have adopted Akamu as a stand-in father- a fact that flatters Aka to no end. He's quite fond of the youth himself, and has no problem adjusting to his new 'fatherhood'. He hasn't seen Laku in a while, though, and misses him.

~ Sashta ~ One of the few grown wolves Akamu would venture to call something like a friend, they've promised to help each other look for their respective lost ones, though Akamu seems to be under the impression that she's looking for her pack like he is looking for his own, when apparently, she's only searching for one wolf in particular. She has since decided to start a pack with Reicher, and a pack alliance between hers and Hige's seems to stand a high chance. Akamu wishes her the best of luck.

~ Hige ~ After Akamu realized that Hige was indeed telling the truth when he said that they were brothers, Hige invited the male to join the pack he'd formed with his mate, Loki, whom Akamu has yet to meet

~ Calico ~ This pup has definitely gotten more outgoing since Akamu met him last. He hasn't known the pup long, but he seems to have a healthy curiosity to him, and is very friendly.

~ Lavena ~ An enjoyable she-wolf if there ever was one. She and Akamu seem to share a surprising amount of things in common, and her cheerful nature appears to make him become readier to smile as well, breaking out of his more reserved tendencies.

~ Adamant ~ He feels a sort of kindship with this young pup. Adamant is looking for his lost younger brother, which reminds him of his discovery of his own brother, though he wasn't looking for him. Adamant is generous, which only earns him more favor, and respect. Otherwise, Akamy feels very fatherly towards him, and likes him a lot for having just recently met him.

- Enigmas -

~ Whisper ~ A rather shy young wolf that Akamu has only run into a few times. He doesn't really know his opinion of her, but he supposes she's a nice enough female- Calico and Diego seem quite fond of her, at least.

~ Diego ~ A lively pup who seems to have adopted Whisper as his mother. Akamu hasn't met him more than once, but he's fairly fond of the pup.

~ Reicher ~ Although he's only met him once, and he doesn't like to categorize wolves quickly, Akamu isn't exactly fond of this fellow- and the feeling is mutual, it seems. Time will tell, if they ever meet again.

Jestari
So this was Helaku... He had been told of him, and was glad to meet Laku in person. He certainly did seem to care for his adoptive sister, from the way Laku had behaved towards Akamu at first.

"My name is Akamu." He had given his name to the pup when the older wolf had decided to show himself, but he did not mind the repetition. At least, he wasn't going to behave like many of the other wolves he'd known- himself included, he was ashamed to admit- before he'd found himself without a pack and remind the pup in a rude way. Akamu may be older, but he still valued the opinions of the young. They were, after all, among the most observant and honest of anyone he'd known.

Or at least, most of them were.

Nienna Ellenstar
Laku nodded his small head, auds twitching this way and that. He seemed rather nervous, more than he had been any other time. But why? Was it because this wolf was older? Yet he didn't pose any threat, so why was the young wolf worried? Trying his best to rid himself of the feeling, he shook his head visibly.

Learning the older wolf's name once again, it occured to the pup that the name had been stated once before. It didn't matter though, what's done is done. That's how things were from his point of view.

Nodding to Akamu, Laku inquired, "Do you.. know my sister?"

Jestari]He wasn't blind, of course, and noticed Helaku's nervousness... though Akamu chose not to comment on it. He merely gave the pup a curious glance, one of his ears dipping downwards briefly before taking its previous upright position.

He nodded in answer to Helaku's question. "I have met her once before, briefly. Suzaku is quite the outgoing pup." Akamu dropped his lower jaw slightly in a lupine smile.
[quote="Nienna Ellenstar
Helaku glanced up at the older wolf then nodded in understanding. But now he didn't know what to say.. really, there was nothing to say. They had introduced themselves, talked a bit about how they knew Suza, and even sized each other up in the beginning.

What was left now? The pup didn't know. He had been on his own for most of his life, or what he had lived of it as of now, and hadn't really had a chance to interact with others. He had common sense, but not when it came to greetings and whatnot.

Deciding to break the silence, which, at this point, was making him more nervous, he spoke. "Where did you come from?" It might have been a personal question, but he didn't know the limits of others since, again, not having lived with other wolves.

Jestari
At the question, and the assumption that he would be here for at least a little while longer, Akamu settled back onto his haunches, his tail lying to the side in a lazy manner.

"I come from... Well, it is a place very far from here, I think. At least, the trees are not so thick, and were of a different sort. I was a member of a pack, but..." A shadow flickered across Akamu's face, distilling the subdued cheerfulness that he normally wore. Quickly enough, the older wolf shook his head, the shadow retreating though it left a more sombre note to his voice. "That is a long story, and not a pleasant one. Suffice to say that I have been.. separated from my pack for a little more than a season now."

"And you? Where do you hail from, Helaku? Around this area?"

Nienna Ellensar
Helaku listened intently as the other spoke of where he came from. He wasn't nosy.. more curious. He himself had really no memory of where he came from, only where he was. It interested him to learn where other wolves come from. And since Akamu knew Suza, Laku decided to take an interest in him.

But then he noticed the shadow across his face. What was that? When it disappeared, he was left with no more time to ponder over it, for the other had begun talking again.

Then, when he was questioned, the yellow pup gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "I don't know.. the only thing I can remember is running into Suzaku then staying with her."

Jestari
Akamu tilted his head slightly at Halaku's words- very much a pup-ish tendency when confused as far as Akamu knew, but he didn't care. It served him well enough. Helaku did not remember anything from before he'd met Suzaku? How odd.... He had never encountered one who couldn't remember before, even though he had encountered much in his life.

"Is that... so? It is a good thing that you met Suzaku then, and not a more violent wolf with no pack to protect you."

Nienna Ellenstar
Helaku shifted nervously as he conversed with the older wolf. He wasn't necessarily nervous because of Akamu.. more that he was trying to remember the time before he met his friend Suzaku. What had happened? Giving a small shake of his head, he then nodded to the adult. "Yes.. though we ran into an older wolf. He was white with some black, like a skeleton.. sort of. And his eyes were white.. he looked like he was gonna eat us!" A shiver ran down the yellow pup's spine as he thought back to their encounter with the adolescent Reicher. He seemed a little..

Many words ran through Laku's mind all at once. There were different and very scary words to describe what it was like for him, face to face with that frightening wolf.

Jestari
Akamu frowned at Laku's words, shifting his weight a little. "I am glad that he did not, Helaku." A wolf with the markings of the dead? Akamu laid his ears back, old pack superstition rising up for the first time in a while to haunt the back of his mind.

He shook his head quickly, in order to dispell the ghost of a memory in favor of the present. "How did you two escape from the wolf.. or did he leave you of his own will?"

Nienna Ellensar
The yellow pup nodded towards Akamu. "Yes, me too. It would have been a horrible way to.. eh.. die." He seemed to choke a bit on the last word, yet he didn't know why. Along with the choking, there was a distant memory.. one that clouded his mind. It made him whimper and have a dark look in his eyes, though he didn't like it. Shaking his head, he managed to clear most of it away.

He straightened himself then stammered out, "We.. ran away. Luckily he didn't chase us."

Jestari
Although it was natural and unsurprising that the pup was afraid of death, Helaku's troubled eyes earned a concerned look from Akamu..one that only increased at the distressed sound the pup made.

"Yes, that was a very lucky thing." Akamu refrained from asking what had prompted the frightened behavior out of the pup, believing it was Helaku's business and not his own. But that didn't stop the worried look on Akamu's face from sticking around.

Nienna Ellensar
Laku gave off another strained whine, this time because of his fear of what had happened. But what exactly had happened? He had no memory of the times before Suzaku, so why would they bother him? He didn't know, but he longed to ask someone about it. Yet there was no one he knew well enough to confine in..

Helaku nodded his yellow head, agreeing with the older wolf. "Indeed."

(( Dinner.. well, food. XD ))

- Akamu, Suzaku, and Helaku -

Tahja Estes
((Daijoubu yo, Jestari! ^__^ I'm posting for Suza now,))

Suzaku had a restless night of sleep at best, nightmares of angry dragons, tigers, and turtles filling her mind's eye. The dreams came to an end as she slowly awoke, noticing her friend's absent warmth. Her eyes slowly peeled open as though pained. She needed to find Seiryuu and apologize, he'd had time to calm down by now, right?

The female sighed softly and stood shakily, wearing off the effects of half-sleep with a stretch and shake. Helaku's scent was still strong in the area, mingling with hers even, so she knew he was close by. Judging by the fact that she couldn't hear any signs of struggle and the forest was still active with the chirps of the ocassional bird she knew he hadn't come to harm. The small signs didn't point to a conclusion, but rather ruled out other possibilities.

She padded off to follow the trail of scent her adopted-brother had left behind, and as she got closer she also recognized Akamu's scent with him. Spurred onward she yipped ahead with a high pitched greeting, followed up by her figure emerging from around a tree.

Jestari
((Yatta! XD ))

Akamu stood again when Suzaku's scent became apparent, his ears twisting towards the pup when she yipped. The adult dropped his jaw in a smile when the energetic wolf pup made her prescence known again, his tail swaying a little in a subdued wag. It had been a while since he had seen his small friend, and he was glad she had come.

"Suzaku! It is good to see you again, young one. I trust you have been well?"

He glanced at Helaku as well, hoping that having Suzaku here would sooth the pup's nervousness away. He did not like to see young creatures frightened or uncomfortable, much less those of his own kind.

Nienna Ellensar
Helaku sat there, tail still and unmoving behind him. As the seconds went by and neither of them made a conversation, the uncomfortable feeling the pup had increased. But then he heard a familiar voice and smelled an oh-so-familiar scent:

"Suzaku!" the yellow wolf exclaimed. Suddenly his dead tail swayed back and forth in energetic wags. He rose to his paws and bounded over to his adopted sister, happy that no harm had come to her. Once he reached her, his head went into her neck in a brotherly nuzzle.

Tahja Estes
Akamu and Helaku's smiles were enough to get her worries to subside, even if just for a little while. She smiled quietly and turned her head enough to brush it against Helaku's in return greeting. "I have, and you too I hope, good morning you two!" Her laughter sounded lightly, Helaku was tickling her unintentionally, making her tail wag as well.

She felt renewed suddenly. Maybe today would be the day that she'd find her brothers and work things out again. Meanwhile...

"What've you two been up to while I was sleeping?"

Jestari
"A good morning to you as well, Suzaku. Helaku and I have been talking, not much more. I am glad to have finally met him. He is quite a devoted brother to you." Akamu smiled again at Suzaku, subduing his own urge to greet the pup like her brother brother had.

((*brick'd for crappy post* XD; ))

Nienna Ellensar
Greetings and such over, Laku nodded towards Akamu, agreeing with what he had said. "Yes, we met and talked a bit.. but we ran out of things to talk about." He gave a lopsided wolf smile as he said the latter.

Indeed, they had conversed, though not really that much. But there was that uncomfortable feeling Helaku had gotten when the subject of families and where they came from came up. Deciding not to worry his sister, the pup just acted as happy as ever.

Jestari
"Yes.... I'm afraid that I am a poor conversationalist." Akamu's smile lessened a bit at the memory of.... something, he wasn't sure what, that had surfaced while he had been speaking of his past to the younger male.

Although the wolf did not know exactly what he was repressing, he knew somehow that it was a thing that he didn't want to remember and for some reason... hoped that he never did. However, he didn't want to worry the pups with his memories and peculiarities, and brought out his smile again.

Tahja Estes
"I'm really lucky that we met. He's a very good brother indeed." She sent a smile over in Helaku's direction and joined the two, nuzzling her head against Akamu in greeting as well before pulling back and giving him his space once more.

It hurt to remember the look in Seiryuu's eyes, but she wouldn't allow herself to forget, and she needed to tell Helaku, and Akamu that she intended to find them.

Her eyes landed on Helaku quietly, "Actually... I need to try to find Seiryuu and apologize, or at least find out why he was so upset. Maybe he's seen the others, too."

~If we can get this worked out then maybe the others will adopt Helaku as our brother too... I hope.~

Nienna Ellensar
Helaku's tail went into a steady wag as his adopted sister spoke. Her voice was so soft and made him feel warm.. like he had when he was still with his parents. But those memories were long gone and he could hardly remember them, no matter how hard he tried. So he let them be.

At the mention of Seiryuu, one of Suza's real brothers, yellow auds went back and against the puppy's skull. The thought of the way the other male reacted was enough to make him whimper. Why had Suzaku's brother acted that way? They wouldn't know for sure until they asked him.

Puppy blue eyes clouded as Helaku nodded towards his sister. "Yes.. that would be good. I just hope.. he can come to.. accept me."

Jestari
Akamu glanced from one pup to the other, his ears shifting backwards slightly in an unconcious reaction to the sombre notes that had crept into the voices and body languages of the two young ones.

Ice blue eyes turned quizzically towards Suzaku after taking in Laku's negative reaction. "... Who is Seiryuu? Why would this Seiryuu not accept Helaku?" He hadn't been able to repress the questions- something unlike him, but now that he had asked them, he did not bother himself about it. Regardless, he was curious about this Seiryuu that Suzaku spoke of, as well as those 'others'.

Tahja Estes
Suza looked apologetically to Helaku again, surely if her brother was about he'd be upset again. "I'm sure he will once he gets to know you, we just need to give it some time."

After her verbal reassurance to the spring-pup she turned emerald irisis back to Akamu again, not bothered by the question as she tended to be rather open still at this age, and eager to understand. Talking helped.

"He's my older brother, by blood. I have two other brothers too... but we all got split up. Then Seiryuu was here a while ago and got upset and left again... I'm not sure why, he's always been kind of like that to wolves not of our family, but it seems like it was something that I did, not Helaku."

She sounded perplexed and perhaps a bit disappointed with herself for not understanding her older brother better, and because of it she'd upset him and also caused Helaku quite a bit of anxiety. She wanted for them all to get along, and she wanted to be able to go back home again with her family. Maybe Seir was upset because he thought she didn't want to come home...!

Nienna Ellensar
Helaku stayed silent for the rest of the time after Akamu asked of Suzaku's real brother. It was the thoughts of that time when the two brothers of Suza, one real, one adopted, met each other. It wasn't the most pleasant of experiences, yet nothing had really happened.

Shuddering to himself, he watched the two wolves that were in his company. The young pup never knew what it was like to have a real family, so he took all the friends he could get. Even with the friends he had made, there was still an empty spot within him.. one he couldn't' quite explain.

Deciding to try and not be so gloomy, Laku added, "Yes, he seemed angry that I had been with Suzaku.."

Jestari
Akamu tilted his head to the side a few degrees, his body language showing he was just as perplexed as Suzaku was as to the cause of Seiryuu's behavior. Whether or not a wolf was a member of your family, he saw no reason why such wolves should be shunned.... but it was not his business to judge another's actions. This blood brother of Suzaku had his reasons, and perhaps they were good ones.... He still did not completely comprehend it though.

"That is.... a behavior I have not encountered before, I confess. I will help you as best I can in finding him and the your other litter mates, though, if I can. Perhaps he will accept Helaku now, after the time that has passed?"

Tahja Estes
((Oh, Jade, could I have Hige's birthday changed to September 15th? You don't have to update his current tag, if you can just do it whenever you do the next tag that'd be fine. Thanks, ^^))

"Hopefully. Thank you, that would be great! We'd be sure to find them quicker with three..." She smiled a bit, grateful to Akamu for his optimism. She gave Helaku another reassuring nuzzle, maybe they'd even find his family while looking... She didn't press about Helaku's past since it upset him so. Even then she wondered and worried, memories that caused him to get so distraught were surely a bad sign.

Well... in the present turn of events she was hoping to get it straightened out soon. She didn't really get to talk to Seiryuu before he was off again.

Nienna Ellensar
Helaku nodded towards the other two wolves. Yes, hopefully they could find all of Suzaku's brothers.. then they could all be one big family. Laku wouldn't have to be alone anymore. Thinking of this made his tail wag and body shake with excitement. He wanted to go as soon as possible. The sooner they went, the sooner they would find her siblings.

"Yes, thank you Akamu. It would be fairly difficult for two pups to go looking for her brothers. Plus, it would be safer with more wolves." He nodded as he concluded, unable to speak anymore at the excitement of maybe getting a family.. wolves that would accept him.

Jestari
Akamu smiled again looking down at the two pups, glad that they were happy again. The wolf's mud tipped tail began wagging as well, as if influlenced by the renewed energies of the pups.

"Then we should start looking as soon as we can, to increase our chances of finding them." He didn't mention that it would be safer in more ways than Laku had mentioned- with an adult wolf, the pups would be less likely to get picked on or attacked by other adults, he thought.

And perhaps, it was only a wish mind you, and one he had doubts that would come true, he would have a family of his own again after this. Already the pups had accepted him as a friend, a fact that lifted Akamu's spirits. He had been alone for so long before he'd met Suzaku, and then Helaku, and he had no wish to repeat the experience.

- Akamu's second group meeting, Part 1 -

Mor_Ros
((Awww well I'll start then))

Small and bewildered; the tiny colorful pup stood out amongst his other more bland brothers and sisters. It was for good thing too because it fit his rather show-offish personality. Even from the start you could tell that Diego was a natural born leader. Toppling over his sibbling he would stand ontop of them and howl, puffing out his chest acting the lead.

Late on a summer's eve the pup; though young descided to set out on his own and start his own pack. His siblings just wern't providing enough for him, and his parents- well he hadn't seen them in days. He figured they had run off and left them all to die. He sighed, this bothering him slightly; but his hungry stomach growled putting those thoughts on a back burner. Maybe he would start a pack another day...joining one to eat would suit him just fine; for the moment any way...

Noyama
Sashta still remained by the river, bored at the lack of company the area provided. Yawning broadly, her sharp teeth were bared for just a few seconds before she shifted her weight to the left and rolled over on her side.

Her eyes focused on the water--an identical wolf staring back at her with one blurry eye. She couldn't help but chuckle. "How dull."

Mor_Ros
The little pup wasn't very good at sneaking; well he was, but his colors pointed him out like a sour thumb. Just then he froze. On the other side of the water he saw two wolves. They both seamed to be growling at each other, maybe she'd be to predisposed with the other to notice him. Moving another step forward his own reflection caught his eye. Was there really another wolf just like him? He lay down at the waters edge and yipped wagging his tail quickly. The image barked back but didn't make noise. He cocked his head and poked his image. Soon it disapeared. What was going on here?

Noyama
(If you want Jestari I can fix my post? xD Sorry, I just figured you guys had gotten occupied with something.)

Even with only one working eye, Sashta had little trouble noticing the pup nearby. How..colorful. She'd only met a few wolves that could even rival this one in the bright factor. Not mentally, though, as this one seemed unable to grasp the concept of a reflection. A newborn, perhaps.

Finally she called over, "It's your reflection. A copy of you."

Mor_Ros
He flinched then burried his head under the grass as quickly as he could when the other spoke. It was along the lines of 'If she can't see me she won't know I'm here'. He flattened his body further to the ground wedging himself further into the dirt. His siblings had been alot eaiser to deal with and boss around, but now he was in the real world with REAL wolves...not just some push over siblings of his.

Noyama
An amused snort, and then she brought her gaze back to the water. Never failed she was horrible when it came to dealing with pups. Seemed this time was no exception. She'd certainly rather be without company as opposed to scaring the small thing to death.

Mor_Ros
He hid himself for what must have been 10 minutes then poked his head of of the dirt pile he had made. Looking down at the water he now saw a brownish-black pup about his size. His jaws narrowed together in a snarl and he lunged forward to bite at the other; but he wasn't aware of what water really was and splashed right in. He flopped about splashing and struggling to hold himself up- this wasn't good he couldn't swim. He yowled for help, maybe that brown pup that he had attacked would come to save him.

Jestari
((It's okay- I'll say Akamu wandered off to eat or something. XD))

Akamu made his way back to where he remembered meeting Sashta, thinking that the female would still be there after his brief absence and licking the remainder of the blood clean from his jaws. He'd only been able to catch a small creature this time, but it would be enough for now...

He looked at Sashta curiously when he found her having apparently just finishing a conversation, and glanced around for another wolf.

"What-?" Akamu almost yelped, startled by the splash and subsequent yowl for help from the pup he hadn't seen, temporarily unable to do anything until his mind collected itself.

Noyama
Though Sashta might not have been good with pups, getting them out of danger was a different story. Her ears perked up at the splash, and in a swift motion she hurried to all fours and snatched the pup up by the collar of the neck between her teeth.

This would be one of those ever-so rare times Sashta would growl, and growl quite fiercely at that. Almost as if daring the river to try and take one of her kind again. Stepping back, she placed the pup on the ground and examined him for any injuries. He looked alright, aside from the risk of catching a cold.

Mor_Ros
Diego shook his coat out more shocked then hurt. He wasn't expecting something so brutally cold, and wet most of all. He'd seen puddles, and felt rain...but that was to much water for him then. He looked up at the Black wolf still shaking from the cold. "Th-h-h-anks..." He chattered out then curled up into a tiny ball.

Jestari]Disappointed in himself for not reacting as quickly as he should have to aid the pup, Akamu drew closer as well to inspect the.... colorful youngling.

"Are you uninjured?" The clay-toned wolf nosed at the younger one, though didn't do more than that for fear of scaring him with his sudden presence, stranger as he was.
[quote="Mor_Ros
He skittered backwards as the other touched him bumping into the larger black female causing him to turn around and back up again and crash into the lighter colored wolf. Panicing he couldn't see a way out and puffed up his chest and growled. Though it wasn't really impressive or agressive.

Noyama
Well, this was a surprise. "You can talk." Tilting her head, she stepped away from the young one, under the impression he just 'needed some space'. "What in the world were you doing?" Almost as if his mother, she scolded him for such a stupid display. Had he been trying to prove something? Honestly.

Jestari]He sighed, knowing that he had been right to not do more than nose at the pup. Akamu stepped back a pace or two and sat, attempting to put the young one more at ease, after shifting his forelegs to aid the wolfling in balancing again after running into him.

Akamu looked at Diego calmly, then, waiting for the young one to calm himself.
[quote="Mor_Ros
Soon he settled seeing that they were less of a threat to him then he thought. "I'm s-sor-ry..." He stammered out. But the other two were so big and he was so little. He for a few seconds in his mind thought they were going to eat him. Just then his nose quirked. Lifting it up he smelled something veguly fimaliar. He walked closer to the lighter colored wolf and sniffed him, yes he knew that smell. It ment food. Imediatly as if by instinct began to lick the others muzzle.

Noyama
(Pretty. :3)

"Seems to like you, Akamu. This your son?" Saying this, even Sashta had to laugh. Cute kid, she mused to herself. Mind you, he didn't look a thing like the brown wolf, but she couldn't think of anyone she'd seen he looked even slightly like. Though she hadn't spoken with many wolves, she'd seen many of them.

Jestari
"It is alright, pup." Akamu smiled down at Diego reassuringly, but his eyes widened a little when the young wolf began licking his muzzle. He knew what the gesture meant- but hadn't experienced it for a very long time. He couldn't stop his body from reacting though- not that he would have denied Diego food in any case- bringing up the small amount of food he'd been able to hunt.

He licked his muzzle clean once again, glancing up at Sashta with a small smile. "No, I am afraid that he is not. I do wonder where this pup's parents are, with him so young." Akamu had not met so many wolves around here as Sashta, but even he knew that this pup was oddly colored.

Mor_Ros
The pup excitedly gobbled up what Akamu had brought up and smiled feeling much more contented after a fresh meal. Just to make sure that he had eatten it all he ran each blade of grass threw his teeth. When he was able to get no more off the ground he went back to licking his muzzle again still starved.

His parents? He stoped licking and flattened his ears agaist the back of his head, then scouled and looked to the others stomach still rumbling. "They left us...they left us...to...to...die..." His head slunk lower, and sighed. "I was the strongest one out of my siblings and left to find food before were resorted to eatting each other....I think they are all dead by now..." He colapsed onto the ground in a deep sigh.

Noyama
For a moment, the older wolf looked nothing more then disgusted. How lovely. If she found any older wolves that looked like this one, she'd be sure to ask a few questions. If they were the ones she suspected, may a higher force help them.

She was far from violent, obviously, but there was no excuse for abandoning pups.

"I'm sorry, dear." Her voice held sympathy, and hearing the stomach grumble she frowned. "You can come with us, if you like."

"Akamu," the female said sharply, hopefully commanding the attention of them both. "Will you watch him for a few moments?"

Jestari
He looked up, ears facing forward at attention because of the authoritative tone in her voice. "Of course I will watch him."

He, too, was .... less than happy with the wolves that had left the young pup and his litter to die and eventually eat themselves- a fact proven by the stiff hold of the adult's body. Akamu forced himself to relax, though, to avoid upsetting Diego further.

Reminded, the clay-colored wolf leaned his head down and nosed the pup gently. "I am sorry for your loss, pup.."

Mor_Ros
He nodded slowly, and curled up tightly onto a ball and shook; half from still being hungry and the other from the memories of his family. All of his sibling dead. He'd tried so hard to take care of them all but it became to much and what little supplys they had. He shuttered again and rested his head onto his paws, eyes looking up at the black wolf. "Thanks...but you sure I wouldn't be a burden?" His stomach gave another loud lurch.

Noyama
(-whines- Awww,c'mon. D: There's only three wolves. And Sashta's been looking for Reicher. XD

All their doing is..standing around, really. And besides she's about to run off anyway. ninja )

Sashta didn't answer--which was a very non-Sashta thing to do. She barely even nodded, and rushed off so quickly it seemed she'd barely heard his answer, and would've possiblely left anyway.

For the first time, she understood how those arrogant wolves felt. She felt she could take on the world right now, kill anyone who got in her way. Luckily she was only going after a deer. That should fill the pups hungry stomach for quite a while.

Luce Ravenier
[[ Okay. I was gonna have Thayne run into Sashta and Reicher, but. Oh well. X3 Question: is Hige still here? I assume not... ]]

Thayne trotted up quietly through the brush, following Hige's scent. He'd been on the trail of his alpha for the whole trip, staying mostly out of sight and keeping Hige in his. Loki had asked Thayne to go and keep an eye on Hige; reluctantly, Thayne had agreed. While he didn't like Hige going off on his own, he certainly didn't like Loki and Tatiana being on their own. He'd made Tsume promise to watch them while he was gone with Hige.

Plus, he had his own agenda to look out for.

Thoughts stopped when he found his brother's scent getting stronger, mixed with the odors of two or three other wolves. His hackles raised slightly, automatically going into defensive mode. One was female, two were male -- one of the males was fainter, maybe a pup. He crept closer, silently now, looking for Hige to be sure of his safety. Clearing the bushes, he saw a brightly colored pup and an adult that at first glance he thought was his brother, but on closer inspection, wasn't after all. Hige was nowhere in sight.

Jestari
((Akamu would certainly not mind the company. XD
EDIT: unless you'd rather change your mind and have Thayne meet up with Sashta and Reicher?))

The clay and earth toned wolf looked up, instantly on guard when he didn't recognized the scent nor the colorings of the wolf that had so suddenly come into the area. Now, if Akamu had been alone in such a situation, even then the male wouldn't have become so wary... but he was watching the pup, whose name he had yet to learn, and that meant that he had to raise his level of alertness.

Ice blue eyes focussed on Thayne, questioning and wary... though he did not choose to give the other a warning growl just yet, until he had proven friend, foe, or indifferent. "...Greetings, stranger."

Luce Ravenier
[[ No, I think I'll stick with Akamu and Diego. domokun ]]

Thayne watched the two with an extremely wary gaze, his body language postured in uncertainty but not promising violence -- yet. He sniffed the air for Hige's blood, thinking the male might have harmed his brother, but found nothing.

"Greetin's," he replied. After a pause, he asked: "I'm lookin' fer a wolf called Hige. Looks 'bout like you. 'ave y' seen 'im?"

Jestari
((*is gonna pretend that Diego... fell asleep or something, 'cause he's not hers* XD; ))

Akamu became silent again after his greeting, watching Thayne with mild curiosity as the other male began searching the air for a scent- which one, the clay wolf didn't know until Thayne spoke again.

"Hige... Yes, I have. We spoke briefly a short while back. Do you know him?" Akamu's body posture relaxed- only slightly- inrecognition of the name. Perhaps this wolf would show himself to be no foe... though there were no guarontees.

Luce Ravenier
Thayne didn't relax much at all. He didn't plan to, until he found out what happened to his brother.

"He's close as a brother t' me," he replied, "an' th' alpha o' me pack. I been keepin' watch on 'im fer th' past six days." He watched Akamu closely. "D'y' know where 'e is?"

Jestari
Akamu shook his head, almost apologetically. "I am afraid that I do not. We spoke only briefly, before he mentioned his pack in the south- yours I believe. He seemed anxious to return, or go about whatever business he had planned here in the freelands quickly and then return home. I am afraid that I cannot help more than that."

The clay wolf continued to watch the other when he finished speaking, his guard creeping back by little bits when Thayne refused to relax. One part of him argued that this was no unordinary, and was no show of violence... but then, another part of his mind reminded him of Diego. He couldn't afford to assume anything about this strange wolf.

Luce Ravenier
Well, as long as they hadn't hurt Hige, Thayne really had no reason to be so tense. He saw the adult keeping an eye on the colorful pup and figured the male was afraid for the little one's safety. The tri-colored wolf relaxed more now, having no intention of hurting the pup or leaving him guard-less without good reason.

"Aye, 'e's got a mate worryin' over 'im in our territory," he said with some amusment, "an' 'is beta wanderin' 'round after 'im on 'er request." He cocked his head to the side, studying Akamu. "Where d'y' come from, yerself?"

Jestari
When Thayne finally began to relax, Akamu allowed his state of alert to decrease as well, though he had to remain a little wary in case another stranger came into the area.

"Hige seems to be a well loved alpha, then." Akamu smiled faintly, having relaxed only just enough to do so. When the dark hued wolf asked after his origins, though, his ears lay back briefly.

"I am from a pack a fair distance to the west- far beyond this area, at the least. I was seperated from them more than a season ago- though that is not so uncommon a story, from what Hige told me." Akamu stated all of this in a matter of fact manner, though a brief, almost invisible shadow flickered across his face at the mention of his pack. The shadow was easily quashed though, Akamu's attention more directed at returning Thayne's studying gaze. If he should ever meet this wolf again, it was only wise to remember what he looked like.

Mor_Ros
Diego stired from his deep sleep amazed he was still alive. Prehaps yesterdays meal had suficed him enough. He streched and quickly got to his feet auds widening. There were now more wolves around him then before. And even though he could only see the one next to the lighter wolf; he could smell the others. His nose twitched again moving behind the Akamu for cover. He smelled blood and vast amounts of it. Prehaps Shasta had made a kill, his stomach gave another lurch knowing he could eat the whole thing if given the chance.

Jestari
Akamu turned an ear backwards- or as much so as was possible- when Diego snuck behind him, and rumbled a little in reassurance. It was not quite a recognizable growl, but a sound similar nonetheless.

The clay-toned wolf ignored his own stomach stoicly, complaining as it was that he had given his small meal to the pup behind him, and resolved to go hunting himself, later on.

Mor_Ros
The oddly colored wolf still hiding behind Akamu, looked up at him. "Is-s that other wolf safe?" Prehaps he should have also mentioned his name at the time...but he was to caught up in the new experinces around him to even think of something so unimportant at the moment.

((Thanks! Jade did a wonderful job on him! heart ))

Noyama
Sashta being mad enough to lose her collected ways was enough on it's own, but had she stayed mad it really would've been a time for worry. Luckily, she didn't, and almost seemed amused as she eyed the corspe with little interest. "No, it's fine. I'm sure he's run off by now anyway."

She nearly laughed at the title. Lovely duckling? Odd, but that was Reicher for you, she thought. Seemed that interest he had in bones hadn't flattered at all. Same old, same old. "Reicher, I'll have to be returning to the river soon. There's a lost wolf there."

He opened his mouth to ask her why she cared about a lost wolf anyways, but he closed it again, realizing that it didn't quite matter. Everything had meaning in his eyes, however, he knew that she would give him some complicated answer which he wouldn't care about anyways. Reicher took his pure white paw from her face, licking the pad of his paw as he did so.

"Can I come?" He asked, flicking his tail behind himself, ears perked up. Reicher was excited to meet new wolves. He hadn't met many for the long time he had been out here.

Mor_Ros
He nodded and regained his confindence really quickly, padding out from behind the larger wolf. "I'm looking for my siblings too..." He then paused and his ears lowered agaist his head, with a relization that he wasn't going to find anyone of them. He sighed even deeper again, "Before I forget again; I'm Diego....my mother gave me the name before she and father lef-" He choked up on his words and slouched down on the ground again, tears streaming down his little face.

Tamiko-chan
(( *nods* Okie.. *throws Whisp in there* XD Hope you don't mind Jes.. sweatdrop ))

Whisper trotted along a river, the rushing water calming her in some way. It seemed she had been wandering closer to any nearby river lately yet she didn't mind. It was a place for fishing--her favorite thing to do because her diet now consists of mainly fish and she loves the activity so much. As she went along, she could smell other wolves ahead. They were both males from their scent, she was sure, and neither seemed very threatening, so she decided to try her luck. Who knows, maybe she won't be so nervous this time..

She came within a few feet of the two males in just a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, she was still a bit nervous, so her ears were back against her head and her tail was drooping low in a submissive yet passive posture. Not liking to start a conversation, the adolescent stayed there and waited, ready to flee at the first sign of aggression.

Jestari
((By a river, as far as I know. XD * heart at Tam* x3 And no, I don't mind. ))

"And I am Akamu," The introduction was nearly useless now, with Diego's attention grasped by his memories and his grief, but habit forced the older wolf to follow through with it.

He stepped forward when the younger wolf drew back within himself again, licking a few tears from the pup's face as a family member might. To Akamu, no pup should be unhappy, and the older wolf did not like to stand by and watch such unhappyness... especially when it was so deep a sorrow.

His ear twitched, though, when he heard Whisper's quiet arrival, scenting her only a moment later. Akamu raised his eyes from Diego briefly, glancing around before he finally saw the female, and flicked an ear at her in question. "Hello?"

Mor_Ros
The pup was the first to pick up the others sent, but instead of backing behind Akamu again, he just seamed to lie in the same depressed spot as before. Grateful that the other was so kind, he figured that if she was agressive the two grown wolves would protect him, not that he smelled any agression comming from her direction anyways. So he was pretty confident in himself that he was safe. "Thanks..." he added slouching again.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper glanced at the pup for a brief moment, his unique coat catching her interest. But she soon turned her attention back to Akamu as he spoke out to her. She figured she would need to say something back, or she might be thought rude or something.. another wolf already had and she didn't want to offend anyone. So, still cautious and alert, the adolescent replied, "Hello.."

(( *pokes Ren* Well.. you talked about it once a while ago and once, like, recently so.. heh, yeah. ))

Jestari
Akamu raised his head fully now, turning his attention to Whisper now that Diego did not seem frightened of the female. He tilted his head a small degree, an ear flicking back towards Thayne to show that he was not ignoring the other male, though he kept his sights on the green female in front of him.

He was admittedly curious as to why Whisper had shown up and... appeared to be in no hurry to leave. He could find no immediately rude way of asking such, though, so the wolf simply watched her calmly. If Whisper desired to speak, or to merely stand there, it made no matter to him- Thanks to his exclusive solitude until recently, Akamu needed no conversation to give company.

((Me three! XD ))

Tamiko-chan
(( Eep! No doggy pile on teh Wolfie! gonk ))

Whisper stood there as Akamu looked at her. An uncomfortable feeling came over her as the adult did so, and she wasn't quite sure why. He didn't show any signs of aggression but he didn't show any signs of true friendliness either. Hoping to take her mind off of the male, Whisp's gaze fell on the colorful pup. He seemed to have been crying recently as the fur under his eyes was a bit wet. Immediately she became curious, but she wasn't one to pry so she let it remain in her head unanswered.

In an attempt to get herself used to being calm and relaxed around other wolves, the adolescent slowly lowered and sat on her haunches, attention still on Diego.

Mor_Ros
Eventually his mind was off of his family enough to stop crying and sit up. But he was still to depressed about it for his ears and body posture to look happy. His split eyes traveled up from the ground until they landed on Whisper; who also seamed to be stairing at him. He staired abit more until he had conculeded that she was a safe wolf, and threw on a convincingly strong smile. "Hi there...Names Diego...whats yours?"

Tamiko-chan
Whisper shook her head the instant she realized that she had been staring. Her parents had told her it was rude to stare at someone without a very good reason, and the femme didn't think she really had a reason for staring at the pup besides his distinct fur colors and patterns that covered his entire body. His words to her brought her more into the real world and forced her to focus on what was happening--which was nothing really but it was still more than looking off into space.

"Whisper," she replied softly, paws shuffling nervously.

Mor_Ros
The little pup grined again and wagged his tail back and forth. "Thats a nice name..." He was soon forgeting about what he was thinking about earlier and now focused on Whisper. She was smaller and closer to his size the more he looked at her. He cocked his head as she looked away. "Something wrong?" He sat and curled his tail around the front of his paws.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper looked back towards Diego as he complimented on her name. It seemed a little dull and not that exotic to her, but it made her feel happy to have someone think it was nice. "Thanks.." she said as her gaze didn't drift away this time. There was something about him that didn't make her feel nervous. Maybe it was because he was a pup or maybe it was the vivid colors of his pelt. Whatever it was, she thought it good that she could at least be around one stranger without growing too nervous.

"Wrong? No.." Her paws scraped the dirt idly as she looked over the male pup once more. His unique coat was very interesting..

Mor_Ros
He nodded, but still took notice that she was more quite and withdrawn then the other wolves around him. But like everyone else around him didn't push the issue. He wouldn't have wanted to tell his life story just as well as she probally didn't want to tell hers. Just widening his smile he tightened his tail around he small thing frame of a male that he was. Dropping his gaze then looking back up at her again, "You wouldn't know where theres food? Would you?" His boney sides gave another rough shake then settled. "I haven't really eatten in days..."

Tamiko-chan
Whisper tilted her head slightly as Diego revealed that he hadn't eaten recently. Another pup who couldn't find food? Not that it mattered, but she was just curious as to why so many pups were starving in the same area basically. She nodded her head slightly then rose to her paws. She turned her body towards the river then crawled to the water's edge.

"Fish good," she explained as her eyes followed a few unsuspecting fish. The adolescent waited patiently for a fish to stray too close. Finally one did and she struck out with her left paw, throwing a fish out of the water and onto the bank. Fishing was always fun for Whisp, she enjoyed it. Her tail wagged ever so slightly as she looked at Diego then over to the dying fish, indicating that he could have it.

- Akamu's second group encounter, Part 2 -

Mor_Ros
((Haha seams Diego alreay has fangirls and boys already XD))
The scrawny pup went over to the fish and sniffed it. He'd never seen a fish...nor ever eatten one before. Still struggling and flailing back and forth on the shore; he timmidly swatted at it until it finally stopped moving. Then bent over and took a nibble. After that one bite it was mear seconds before the fish was nothing but bones, he was even so hungry he ate the skin and fins. His stomach more contented then before ceased growling, allowing Diego to trot over to Whisper and sit next to her without any jabbing hunger pains. "Thats really awsome, can you teach me how to do that- without falling in of course...I kinda can't swim..."

Noyama
[She wasn't sure if 'meaning' was the right word. Sashta just seemed to have a natural instinct to be helpful. One could almost considering it parently, maybe, but the fact she had the worst of luck with pups would argue against such. Also, she wanted to see this pack for herself. Never once had she managed to catch sight of more then three wolves together.

"I suppose so, if you don't attack anyone." She hated to add that part, but it was probably needed. Sashta didn't want another Dagda incident on her hands-er-paws. "And there's a pup also, so be careful not to scare him."

Tamiko-chan
Whisper looked off into the sky until Diego was finished with his fish meal. Of course, that didn't give her much time to study the mass object as the pup ate with such speed Whisp hadn't ever known one could do that. Once he was done and had situated himself next to her, she flicked her ears in acknowledgement then shifted her attention back to him.

"'Course," she said simply. To her, fishing wasn't all that hard.. just fun. But she didn't realize that he was smaller and had a bigger chance of falling in and drowning. He had said himself that he couldn't swim, so the adolescent added, "Is easier if bigger.. but I will still help."

Kochikens
"I won't attack anyone, but you know I can't promise not to scare anyone." He spoke calmly, standing, ready to go. "It's not my fault if I do." Reicher added a smug smile to this, his black embroidered eyes looking down on her, and toothy smile gleaming in the light, a bit of blood still hanging on his maw.

He was excited about going to see more wolves, how they would re-act to him, how they would behave and what they would do. He just wanted to examine them and to see what they did, for every action there had to be an equal reaction, afterall.

Mor_Ros
He nodded his head, still hungry. He'd be careful and follow everything she said. Maybe he find find in puddles- that'd serve useful because there were lots of puddles around these parts. Bending over the rushing water he could see his reflection again, he growled and went at it with a paw again, but remebering what happened last time pulled his paw back before getting sucked in the water. "I think that other wolf is trying to steal my fishes..."

Noyama
The female seemed hesitant, but his words sank in eventually. She never found Reicher scarey. Just...different? Something like that. But that was her way. Sashta was simply curious about things most found 'scarey'. Except a murder of crows. That she was intimdated by, for an obvious reason, if one new her as Reicher did.

Wordlessly, she drew forward, ears perked intently. An amused look crossed her features after the realization Whisper had since returned to the river. She was dissapointed when Akamu was out of view, but assumed he'd return shortly.

Sitting down she nodded her head toward Whisper and the so-far nameless pup. "There's a few. That's Whisper, there, and the pup I mentioned."

Tamiko-chan
Whisper stood awkwardly as she watched Diego go over to the water and bat at his reflection. Of course, her weird stance was all caused by her right shoulder wound. It didn't hurt, just made the femme stand and walk sort of funky-like. She laughed as he though the wolf in the water was actually another wolf. True, she had thought the same when she had first seen herself in the water as a pup, but Mom and Dad had quickly explained about reflections so she wouldn't go hurting herself trying to play or fight the 'other' wolf.

"Reflection," the adolescent explained. "Not 'nother wolf.." her voice trailed off as she thought of how to explain it.

EDIT: Whisper's attention snapped from Diego over to Sashta and the male that was with her. She dipped her head in greeting to the female adult and eyed Reicher. She didn't know him very well, but from his looks she might say he was a bit scary. There was something about the bones in his ears that just made the green wolf shudder mentally.

Jestari
Akamu emerged from the underbrush into the small clearing around the river again, having left to investigate a suspicious sound he'd heard for a short while, reasoning that Diego would be safe in the company of Whisper, though Thayne, too, had apparently slipped away...

In any case, the clay colored glanced first towards Whisper and Diego, before turning his attention to Sashta and the strange youth accompanying her. He studied Reicher briefly, curious, but didn't speak up just yet..

((Edit: Sorry for disappearing- my brain is losing it's rping ability slowly. x3;; ))

Luce Ravenier
[[ Sorry, Noya -- didn't mean to vanish on ya. Let's go guild, shall we? Where in, I ask? And I'm gonna shoot Thayne back in this, since Hige never showed up. sweatdrop ]]

Hige's scent had stayed strong a ways out, and Thayne had eventually found the alpha male curled up in a hollow beneath a tree. [[ Hope you don't mind, Tahj... ]] Not tired, the beta male of the Seaside pack headed back to the river aimlessly. He trotted up and slowed, smelling even more new scents. He saw Akamu and Diego -- though he didn't know their names -- and young female. Not the same scent as the previous one, although Thayne smelled her too.

As such, he was cautious coming through the brush.

Mor_Ros
"It's not?" He looked down at it again and studied it. He'd never actully seen himself before; so of course it looked like a threat. But moving about he could see the same shrunken skin on his ribcage and odd markings around his paws and hidquaters that he imediately reconized was his own. "I guess that is me...though it really is tempting to go back and bark at it," he turned to face his own face again and gave one last yip to tell it off before looking back at Whisper. Still weary of the refection he motioned for them to move down the river some, in hopes that the 'other' wolf would stay where it was. "So how do we get those wiggly things again?"

Kochikens
The wolf was immediately taken aback. One, two, three, four! His eyes went wide and the air was nearly knocked out of his chest. This was too many. He had wanted to see a large group, but between this snow white female, this totally messed up looking pup and two larger (But not nearly as strong or better) wolves, Reicher was more surprised then intimidated.

He glanced over to Sashta, pure white orbs in his head fully revealed, ears folding against his head. "You didn't tell me there were so many of them." Reicher commented, adding a nervous giggle.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper wagged her tail as Diego realized that the wolf in the water was really his reflection. Though it was somewhat amusing to see him attack and bark at it. If there hadn't been other wolves around, she would have gone splashing through the river, following Diego like she had known him for a long time. But there were other wolves around and she was cautious. Too cautious, maybe, as she called the pup back. "Diego.." Sashta the adolescent wasn't so worried about.. it was more the two other males (Reicher and Thayne) that she was concerned about. Akamu had already been talking to the pup before, so she figured he was ok for now.

Noyama
(Sure thing Luce. :3)

"Akamu!" Sashta called in attempt to get his attention, and a small bit of air rushed around as her tail wagged just slightly. It was an absent motion, as she didn't seem to notice, and chances were no one else did either. It was the thought of their soon-to-come 'adventure' that made her so happy.

But such faded at Reicher's reaction, and her own ears flatened. "I'm sorry, Reicher, when I left there were only two aside from myself. Come on now, let's go see Akamu?" Nodding for him to follow, she caustiously walked past Whisper and Diego, stopping only once she reached the clay-colored wolf. "Apologies. Seems like Whisper has that pup handled fine, though."

Mor_Ros
He looked up to Whisper whom was even more nervous then ever. Then turned his head and saw Reicher, unlike before he seamed to be growing more confident amoung the older wolves and just ignored him. "So tell me Whisper? How do you catch fish so well?" He put his paws on her shoulder and stood on his back legs looking her in the eyes with an anticipated smile.

Lethrossen
Kamali grunted and shifted, on his side, a bit away from the small gathering of wolves. Indeed it was small to him.. though he hadn't been in such a large group in weeks. A small whine slipped past his mug, obviously feeling pack-sick, or home sick perhaps.

His foot kicked, body twitching and his golden orbs snapped open, head lifting so he could quickly look around. Right where he should be, asleep next to Noke. His gaze swurved to the river, scanning it. Where was Whisper?

His gaze widened and ears flattened, spotting the few strange wolves. He rose carefully, as to not bump Noke. Stretching his limbs a bit his lanky frame started off toward Whisper, he'd spotted her with.. a very flamboyent looking wolf.

He smirked slightly, he only reccognized Sashta out of these wolves, and he dipped his mug in a respectful manner as he passed her and the other boy, hackles slightly raised. Strangers tended to get him edgy. "Whisp?" His head tilted.

Jestari
"Greetings again, Sashta." Akamu smiled at the female, not noticing the eager wag of her tail, though he shared her enthusiasm for finding their respective packs.

"Whisper is her name, then? Yes, she seems to be taking care of him quite well.." Akamu blinked, turning a surprised look to Kamali, whom he had been unaware of until now, but who seemed to know Sashta and the young female.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper's tail wagged ever so slightly as Diego asked about how to catch fish. Well, he obviously couldn't learn it in a snap, but she was willing to help him. He was so cute and adorable after all! Giving her fur a slight shake to get some access dirt off, yet not shaking it enough to unbalance the pup, her ears flicked this way and that as she looked around at all the wolves. If none were showing signs of aggression then she would definitely help the male puppy right now. But as she looked around, the adolescent spotted an oh-so-familiar wolf among the group.

"Kamali!" she exlaimed softly. Her tail wagged with the joy of seeing her brother again. Yet she hadn't forgotten about Diego. She licked his head then glanced back at Kamali. "This Diego."

Kochikens
Reicher stayed as close to the only recognizable creature there, Sashta. The skeletal wolf tried to absorb as much information about the wolves surrounding him as he could. Whisper, Akamu, Diego, Kamali. None of them looked to be a direct threat to him, and nothing he needed to deal with. For now.

The bone splinters embedded in his head touched his skull, whispering to Sashta. "Who... are all of these?" His tail dragged behind him, this wasn't as excited as he had first thought.

Lethrossen
Kamali shifted, relaxing slightly while in the pressance with her. He stood a bit away, though in speaking range. He was bigger than Whisper, if not thinner. Though he didn't have much to go, he as mostly skin and bones. He didn't have a healthy appitite as he should. He grinned slightly, golden gaze traveling over the pup.

"Diego is it? Your pelt if very exotic.." He shifted and trailed off, perhaps feeling that he was being too foward.

Mor_Ros
Diego looked at the approching male, getting somewhat territorial over his new 'mom'. He lept of her then turned to meet Kamali head on with a low menicing growl. His fur bristled standing straight up on his back then turned and blocked the path to Whisper. Even if the male was related to Whisp; she was still his and would prove it, little as he was. He planted his feet firmly in the dirt and curled his tail. "Stay away from her, she's mine!" He hissed out from his parted teeth.

Noyama
Somewhat worried for her companions mental well being, she smiled unsurely before turning back to Akamu. "This is Reicher. Do you mind if we all speak over there?" Her head tilted to the side to indicate where 'there' was. A short distance away, but far enough. She certainly didn't want Reicher to get too confused. Her goal wasn't to give him a headache.

Lethrossen
Kamali's eyes widened and he backed a few steps, plopping down on his hind quartes; sitting. He raised both brows and glanced confusidly at Whisp. Not such a friendly little pup..

Whisper was his? He scrunched his nose. Whisper was his, Kamalis. His sister. He bared his teeth, but suddenly stopped, gaze trailing the pup again. He let out a sigh. He glanced slowly back the way he came. Noke. He'd want pups with her one day... His ears flicked at the slightly embaressing thought.

Might as well learn to deal with them now, certainly not bully. His tail curled around him, his tone was soft, and he made it be friendly. "Well of coarse, I mean her no harm. She's kin, you see. A Sister. So may I.. please come closer?"

Oh this felt rediculous. Deferring to a pup!

((-laughes- kam is such a sisy and a half.))

Mor_Ros
Diego's tail was still curled high over his back much like an Alpha. And growled again, lower then before. "No, she's my mommy! I found her first!" His eyes narrowed and he slowly backed up to Whisper. In some ways Whisper reminded him of his own mother before she left; kind, caring, and shy of others. Maybe that was the reason he wanted her to be his so badly. He knew he couldn't take the other and that alls he could was make blatent threats. But he wanted to protect his new 'mother' any way he could. He wasn't interested in loseing another person that he'd become attached to...even if he'd only known her for such a short amount of time.

Jestari
Akamu shook his head, turning to pad over to the indicated spot. "I do not mind. I am glad to meet you, Reicher." This last sentence was said absently, though it was not stark of friendliness. Merely a habit for him to acknowledge names when he was introduced that he never saw reason to get rid of. "I am Akamu."

((*hopes people can understand her post* XD;;;; *prodded* ))

Lethrossen
His brows shot up even higher this time, and he stared at Whisper. "What?" He was asking her, not the pup. His mother? Why wouldn't the pup let him come closer! It wasn't as if he was going to lunge for Whispers throat. He'd never! He stood again, making it so he was much bigger than the pup. He peered down at Diego and huffed. "You did not find her first, I was there when she was born!" Well obviously he needed some lessons in the patients department. Or maybe it was only because Whisper was involved..

"I'm telling you I won't be taking her anywhere I just wanted to talk you little.." He cut off and sighed. His own tail was held straight out, but he was too mild mannered to ever let it go higher. That would be disrespectful to Haku, in some weird way, so Kamali thought. Haku was his alpha. and Kamali was no one's alpha, that was that. The pup should learn certain things.. "Whisper it appears your new little friend does not think fondly of me.. Perhaps I should go.. do something useful then.." he muttered.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper's eyes widened as well when Diego went all protective on her. The pup had seemed sweet and she hadn't expected him to threaten her brother. Then again, she had thought Soul to be mom-like, and now this puppy was calling her mom, so she sort of saw the connection he felt he had and the instinct to protect Whisp. But she didn't want Kamali to hurt the colorful wolf--not that he would of course--so she tried to calm the male pup down.

"Diego.. Kamali is my brother.. won't hurt you," she said softly into his ear. The adolescent then licked the top of his head, one thing that had always seemed to calm her down and she hoped it would do the same for him.

Mor_Ros
Diego taking full advantage of the others tail position curled it upward till it hurt. Then threw gritted teeth shifted his body to let the other threw. "Don't hurt mommy!" His eyes narrowed again, "And stay where I can see you both so that I know she's safe-" He raised his haunches up higher to appear taller then the other; but being a pup he was still shorter. So instead he found the nearest boulder and climbed up on it. He now appeared taller then the other, and glared down from his high postion.

Kochikens
Reicher glowered at the older male, careful not to say anything. He already knew his name thanks to Sashta, but he couldn't blame her. Deep violet tongue ran along his maw, keeping his ears back as he followed the pair to the quieter area. Much better, he was having trouble trying to remember so many names and so many different wolves. He would rather put up with this male who barely acknowledged him then have to be around so many obnoxious beings.

He didn't believe the words the male spoke, either. He couldn't be glad to see him, they were just pleasantries.

Noyama
When Reicher failed to say anything in response, Sashta gave him a look of dissaproval. When they began moving, she walked swiftly along side Akamu, glancing around for any sign of the wolf that had also been there previously--Hige, was it? Whatever his name, it seemed he was no longer there. "Did that wolf give you leads for finding them?"

Jestari
Akamu shrugged when Reicher made no response, taking the wolf to be of the more quiet variety around strangers. Though he himself seemed indifferent... He did not often relax enough to seem otherwise unless he knew the company well. In any case, he shook his head again in response to Sashta's question, assuming she was talking about Hige.

"No, I am afraid that he did not. I do not find that surprising- I was unable to provide many clues that would help him think of any leads."

Lethrossen
Kamali huffed again, slowly sitting, gaze remaining on Whisper. He wouldn't let himself look at the other little pup. "What does he mean, mommy, whisper?" He hissed, voice quiet. He remained the few paces away from her. "This is rediculous.." Obviously the pup had soured his mood.

He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. "Forget it." his gaze began to hold the warmth it usually had, more so for his sister. "How is your shoulder doing?"

Kochikens
Reicher listened intently, taking in the information. Who were they looking for? He understood that she already found that pup, for he had seen some messed up looking small wolf at the waters edge and assumed that was it. Was she still persisting on finding more?

He noted the dissapproving look, but shrugged it off. She knew he didn't like other wolves. Especially not someone so close to her. He was doing his best not to say anything he would regret.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper couldn't do anything but glance between the two males. Never before had she seen anyone fight over her, nor had she really wanted males to tear each other apart because of her. It was natural for wolves to do that, but she didn't like it. Fighting reminded her of that day when the humans came and.. no, she wouldn't think of that now. So, giving a visible shake of her head, she walked closer to Kamali to show Diego that he really wouldn't do anything.

"Kamali okay!" she tried to explain to the pup. My, how weird this must look--one grown wolf and another almost an adult being threatened/protected by a pup! The thought almost made Whisp laugh, but she held back and looked up at the puppy, her face soft and eyes warm. "Diego.. I promise he won't do anything."

After saying that and hoping it would be convincing enough, the adolescent turned her attention back to her brother for a moment, though kept an eye on Diego. "It's better," she said in response to his question.

Noyama
"That so? Shame." When they reached the spot she'd indicated, Sashta was feeling lazy. So again, she sat down and stared intently upward, a puzzled look across her face. Shame an alpha was of little assistance, but it was nice to have one as an allie. Indeed she considered him one for the time being.

Eyes still on the sky, she asked of Akamu, "Where all have you looked?" Her gaze fell and worked its way sideward, one good eye focusing on Reicher. "Akamu lost his pack, Reicher. He's the one I'd like to assist."

Luce Ravenier
[[ Back and clean -- seems like I'm always coming in the middle of something. gonk ]]

Thayne was getting closer to the small clearing by the river where he had met Akamu and Diego. He was looking in the river at the fish swimming by and not paying much attention.

It was only by the grace of good hearing and a sensitive nose that he managed not to run into Akamu, Sashta and Reicher. Startled, he backed a pace. "Oh... greetin's."

Jestari
"I have searched a good portion of the westernmost areas of the freelands without luck- perhaps the northwest and southwest areas? But I have forgotten- what about your own pack family? Where have you searched?"

When Thayne made his reappearance, Akamu stepped back a pace in surprise before relaxing again when he recognized the other wolf and nodded to him in greeting. "Hello again.. Have you succeeded in locating Hige?" His ear flicked, the clay wolf being not a little curious about the ally he seemed to have made not long ago.

Mor_Ros
((Imagines for RP sake that Noke called Kamali away))

Diego watch from his high-up rock as Whisper moved closer to Kamali, but just as she did it seamed that Noke had called Kamali away to her; leaving just Whisper and Diego alone once again. He tail relaxed slightly, but not enough to give the feeling of a rank any lower the the best. "Thats right! She's my mommy!" He yelled out as Kamali ran off to catch up with Noke, then lept off the boulder and strutted straight towards Whisper. "Well now that he's gone...can you please teach me how to fish?" He sat infront of her all the agression gone looking up with his split eyes as cute as he could.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper touched her nose to Kamali's neck before he left, telling him bye for now and that they would meet up again later. That done and Diego obviously calmer and less agressive, Whisp looked down at the pup. She couldn't help but smile warmly at how he had gone from growling at a full grown wolf to being so excited about learning how to fish. She nudged him in the side gently with her nose to herd him towards the river while saying, "Of course, come on."

The adolescent walked over to the river--hobbled sort of--then stayed there and waited for Diego.

Kochikens
Reicher sat down beside Sashta, leting his tail curl up around his legs as he wathed the two older males. One looked very odd, black, white, and red, and the other seemed quite boring. He wouldn't judge them on that, however. He would judge them on how they behaved, especially around Sashta.

Afterall, these silly ducklings could do no harm. But he didn't like so many others Sashtas actual age. Not that it mattered. "Oh." Was all he said in response to the loss of his pack. But he couldn't help but try to recall if Sashta ever mentioned her having a pack. He thought it was just her brother?

Mor_Ros
He bounded off beside her with a bound in his step. He had proven himself a worthy foe today (in his mind at least). Then sat by the waters edge feeling nothing could take him on today. Looking down at the wolf in the water he completly forgot that it was his reflection and went head-first into the water trying to tackle it. With a splash he began to struggle again in the raging currents. Apparently water was still on thing that could take him on...but he wasn't giving up and after attemting to bite and bat at the water; learned that by moving his paws he could keep himself afloat and swim to shore. Though he wasn't the best at it he managed to swim with the current just enough to grab a nearby branch. Then clinging with all of his might went to pulling himself out. Unfortuatly he had used all this strength to mearly get to the branch and was now hanging on for his life onto the quickly snapping twig.

Noyama
If Sashta ever did have a pack, she hadn't mentioned it to anyone. Had they still been by the others, even she would've grown a bit wary of so many around had she not known them. But they'd moved away from the rest, so Thayne's company was more then welcome.

"Hello," she greeted carefully, curious as to what rank this wolf was to be searching for an alpha. Honestly, packs were so confusing. At least to her. With a careless shrug, she offered a friendly a smile. "Nothing to interupt, I suppose. We were just speaking of the friends Akamu lost."

Jestari
((Ack, sorry for assuming about the pack- I totally forgot what she'd mentioned. XD;;; Sorry. *pretending Akamu did the stupid thing and assumed* Bwah.... my rping ability is shot. I need to stop for the night, when I find away out for Akamu. >~<;;; ))

"That is good.. and no, I do not believe you are interrupting anything."

Akamu was unaware of any pack status that Sashta had had... the male had simply done what he didn't usually do, and assumed she had a pack she was looking for, since she did seem to have been searching for someone... or she had implied as much when Hige had been there.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper watched with amusement as Diego attacked his own reflection. It was still as cute as ever when a puppy hit a reflection, thinking it was another wolf that posed a threat. For this pup, his reflection was a big threat. But it seemed nothing would get him down after 'beating' Kamali. Nothing, that is, except for the raging waters that roared, threatening to engulf the vividly colored male. "Diego!" she exlcaimed as she immediately jumped into the water after him.

The adolescent hadn't really been thinking about her wounded shoulder when she had instinctively dived herself into the river, she had only been thinking about saving Diego. Yet she was bigger than he and a little stronger, too. She used that to her advantage and swam over to the pup, not wasting much energy as she current practically swept her to him. "Got you!" she said to him as her teeth clasped around his ruff carefully so she wouldn't hurt him. "Hld n," she told him as her paws began moving through the water again.

It seemed like they would never get to the bank, but after enough time the two wolves reached shore. Worried about him, the adolescent set Diego down on solid ground. "Diego?"

Noyama
(Okay, I'll assume. XD)

Watching Akamu run off was a bit of a dissapointment, but it was true going seperate ways to look would cover more ground more quickly. Sashta figured his pack would have at least a few wolves who looked like him, so she'd go by that. Or just ask them, if she came across any.

Almost as if waiting for him to continue, her eyes snapped back to Reicher. When he said nothing else, she nearly sighed in relief. Her one working eye flickered back to Thayne. "Pardon him. I'm afraid we didn't catch your name."

Jestari
((Ack, yes, we should say that it just happened. XD;;; *is multitasking like there's no tomorrow* ))

- Akamu sees Hige again -

Jestari
((Myah, Imma join the rp until I get yelled at. ninja ))

Hm?

Akamu raised his head from its position on his sandy colored paws, looking in the direction of Hige and the others. Though they were not particularly close, the air was still today and their scents carried a deal farther than when the wind decided to move.

Familiar smells... Diego, Hige, and... Whisper, he thought. Another wolf as well? Akamu vaguely remembered this other male's scent from the other day, though he could put no face to it.

With a yawn, the earth toned wolf heaved himself to his feet, heading towards the small group out of a simple desire to be among others. Despite the fact that he had seperated himself from the wolves he had met yesterday under the thought that he and Sashta could search seperately for both their families... Akamu had stuck around. There was a sense of guilt that he'd left, which had begun to plague him when he was finally alone, reminding him that though he was social.... the male had been too long without company. So many wolves had unnerved him.

Shrugging off that particular train of thought, Akamu shook himself to rid his body of the remains of his sleepy nap and headed towards the others. Surprisingly, he came upon them more quickly than he had thought he would, the other wolves coming in sight through the various growths of the forest soon enough before Akamu himself came into view, looking around at the others curiously.

Mor_Ros
Turning and seeing Kamli close to Whisper, he dashed behind the green wolf without thinking and clamped down hard on his tail with his teeth. "Sshtay Awasy from Monmis!" He hissed threw a mouthful of fur and tail. He was still so hyped up that he didn't catch what he was doing until he could taste the blood in his mouth. His eyes then took on a fear strickened look and quickly as he could dashed behind Hige for protection.

Lethrossen
Kamali yelped and scrambled to his feet, almost slamming his head into Whispers in the process. A snarl slipped past his mug as his eyes whirled, body jerking so he could see behind him, just as diego let go and dashed between Hige. They flashed toward Hige a moment, tail now between his legs. Hell it hurt!

A slow and steady growl was slipping past jaws, but he made no advance on the pup. He'd had it! "You listen to me you little.." His ears flicked and he took a deep breath. "Whisper is not a possesion. She is not 'yours' nor is she mine. And if you ever lay tooth, paw or anything else on me again.. I won't be so.." He trailed off, hearing what he was saying, and suddenly looked rather embaressed. He didn't go threatening puppies! Even if they disliked him for no reason.

He huffed and whined softly, glancing to Whisper. "Listen I don't think I should stick around..." He sighed.

((it is. next time word it something like.. diego lunged for kam's tail. something like that, alright? whee I'm not too worried about it, ill let is slide. it does make the rp interesting. Just next time i ask you go along with my above example XD))

Tamiko-chan
Whisper whined as Diego lunged for Kamali and sank his teeth into her brother's tail. "Diego!!" she exclaimed, glued to the spot and feeling like there was nothing she could do. (The only thing she's said so far is 'Diego'. XD) She glanced from Kamali to the pup as he ran behind Hige. That's when she noticed him. "Sorry," she said softly, trying to explain. It was no use, though, and on top of that, Kamali was thinking of leaving.

"Kamali.." she pleaded. She had just gotten here and now he was leaving! Her gaze shifted to Diego for a split moment then went back to her sibling. The two had been separate a lot once they had finally found each other, and she didn't much like it.

[ iPod ]
After the squirrel caught the glimpse of a nearby pup, his eyes widened at the array of colours shown off in its coat. Wanting to take a closer look, he launched himself off of the branch and toward the colorful wolf, quickly. Lurking closer and closer to Diego by air, he finally skid down to the dirt below, dust particles flying everywhere. Still a few feet away from its furry tail, he leaped into the air, and then clung to the pup's back with its forepaws, for dear life...

Mor_Ros
His head lowered even more as Whisper shouted his name. Burrowing into Higes backfur for more protection; he wasn't even sure if he could go to Whisper now. There was a chance that Kamali would take his revenge on him and snap his neck with his larger jaws. Pokeing his head out from behind Hige he put on a sheepish smile and avoided eye contact with all of them.

((Okie good, thought you were mad at me...I've been eatten alive by prisses before *hates them* stare ))

Tahja Estes
((*again, squeals and dies*))

A lucky inquiry that prooved correct. Hige sort of wuffed softly, a confirmation. "He's the brother of my adopted mother, from what I understand. He was in her pack for a very short while. I believe that my mate's good friend is in that pack as well. They're doing well then?"

He sounded pleased at the idea, since Haku was sort of like an unofficial uncle to him. He could remember taking to him as a pup, it was one of his warmer memories, since Hige had never had any uncles or aunts, even before coming here.

He watched in surprise as Diego attacked Kamali's poor tail, and almost tucked his own in out of empathy pain- ouch... ~Winter hasn't got anything on this pup.~

He contemplated as he saw that, . He had come here looking for new pack members after all... maybe? He'd see what Thayne thought though he saw little harm in a pup joining the ranks. "Are you sure that you want to make that comittment to a pack you haven't met yet? One of the most important things about picking a pack is getting along well with the other members." He glanced to Kamali understandingly and looked back to Diego, who had taken refuge behind him. Memories of Winter, Shilah and Kaya came back to him. He was glad to see them do what they thought to be in their best intrest,

He wasn't sure how well Tsume would take to the little one, Tsume was kind of gruff yet, and didn't seem to be very tolerant of the energetic ones.

Lethrossen
Kamali whined softly at whisper. "Id stay but your little friend doesn't seem to want me near you at all.." He huffed, his tone was not longer friendly, it was just quiet. He was upset, and not very friendly feeling.

Glancing to Hige he nodded slowly. "Last I saw they were alright. I have to get back to them soon though.." He muttered. He didn't mean today, just soon. He glanced back to the pup again and frowned. "I'm not going to hurt you. Unlike some.. I'm older and realize violence is no way to live.." He said a little bitterly. Which was very out of character for Kamali.

He just didn't get it. It wasn't fair to be treated this way just because he was related to whisper.

Jestari
Akamu blinked, stepping back a pace when he witnessed Diego attack Kamalli's tail, though he didn't know his name. The male hadn't been able to hear a majority of the conversation between the wolves before coming within hearing range, so Akamy could only guess at what had triggered the attack, and subsequent rebuttal.

Akamu glanced at Hige when the mountain wolf began speaking again, though this time it seemed as if he were cautioning Diego about rushing into a pack he didn't know.

Stepping more fully into the area, Akamu whuffed a quiet, friendly greeting to all those present, as he had either met or seen them all before and knew the wolves to be unthreatening. After a moment, the male sat back onto his haunches, settling for observing the others. He had no thing of any real substance to say to them besides hello, after all.

Mor_Ros
((Nu high loopy muticolored wolfies rock XD))

He still stayed silenent, which wasn't must like Diego; but he was in no place to say anything at the moment. Nor did he quite feel like it still trying to get Kamalis taste out of his mouth. He just slunk down and curled up into a ball so as if not to be seen and Whispered out an "I'm sorry.." knowing he had taken his protectiveness abit to far.

Tamiko-chan
(( Whisper: gonk ))

Whisper whimpered as Kamali revealed that he was a bit bothered by Diego.. not that she hadn't noticed. ^^; Then she looked back over to the pup and noticed.. a squirrel?! All other thoughts vanished from her mind as she looked over the creature clinging to the pup's back. "D-Diego.. squirrel," she managed to stammer out. She blinked once then look up at Kamali. Did squirrels always go up and cling to wolves? But she thought wolves hunted them.. she was confused.

Lethrossen
Kamali eyes Diego a moment and sighed. How could he stay mad? He wasn't one to hold grudges. "It's fine.. just don't do it again, please. Your teeth are rather sharp." His ears flicked and he glanced to Akamu, nodding his head repectfully. "Hello." His tail gave a small wag before being still. "You are?" Respectful and polite, not demanding.

((eh i might have to go soon XD))

Mor_Ros
His head hung lower not at all holding the same cocky stance as before, then suddenly had sharp pains in his back. Turning about he had a squirrul clinging to his back. He staired blankly at it then ran behind Whisper obviously afraid of the rabid squirral that he thought was attacking him. "Mooooooommmmy....It's gunna EAT me!" He turned about and tried to get it with a paw but only flopped on his nose.

Tahja Estes
((Nuuu!! xd We will lock you away fo'eva!! *shackles Leth to the wall for proof*))

Hige licked the top of Diego's head once to encourage him to come out of hiding and face the others. It was yet to be seen if Diego would come back with he and Thayne, but he could at least give him one or two pointers that he'd learned from his adopted father, and former alpha.

He regarded the squirrell with..... curiosity was the only word for it. What a daring little thing, getting this close to a gathering of wolves. He wuffed, a sound coming from deep in his chest.

~What do you want?~ He thought to himself in his mind.

His attention was diverted after the green adult, who apparently was off to get water, or something of the sort, maybe feeling uncomfortable. He'd try to speak with him again soon, and glanced to Whisper to see if she'd follow or stay.

Akamu
Akamu glanced at Hige when the mountain wolf began speaking again, though this time it seemed as if he were cautioning Diego about rushing into a pack he didn't know.

Stepping more fully into the area, Akamu whuffed a quiet, friendly greeting to all those present, as he had either met or seen them all before and knew the wolves to be unthreatening. After a moment, the male sat back onto his haunches, settling for observing the others. He had no thing of any real substance to say to them besides hello, after all.

Hige looked to Akamu and nodded, actually he'd been wanting to talk to the other wolf anyway so now was as good a time as any, mm?

"Akamu, don't go too far off. I need to talk to you, if that's alright." He let his jaw drop a bit and gave a toothy grin. Inside he was uncertain.

Jestari
Akamu looked towards Kamali when he was addressed, the other wolf's greeting nod prompting him to incline his head as well. "Hello. I am Akamu," He glanced up again, a small smile on his jaws. He really did like the company of other wolves, and the polite, friendly way this wolf had addressed him in reinforced that. Akamu would have inquired Kamali's name in return, before the other excused himself for water. An understandable enough need.

Jestari
The earthy male turned his attention back to Hige, nodding at the other's request. "I will not, then." The smile he had accumulated in his brief talk with Kamali- not a talk at all really, but good enough to be defined as one for now, at least. It even grew a little, though he was unaware of it. "I look forward to speaking with you." Inwardly, Akamu had to admit that he was curious. Why would Hige need to speak with him? It was doubtful that he had found a clue to his pack's wearabouts(sp?) after only one day...

Tahja Estes
Since it seemed the others didn't have much to say Hige nudged Diego simply and stood, nodding to Akamu. They might as well talk now while the others were occupied. Whisper was here, and Thayne wasn't far away, Hige would be able to hear if trouble started.

He started a short distance away, only stopping when he could still smell and clearly hear the others, but enough where their conversation wouldn't be completely in the open. He looked back to see if Akamu had followed.

((*lmao* Someone RP with me/my other wolf! XD))

Jestari
And of course, Akamu had. The male trotted just behind Hige, ears rotating a little at the random sounds of the forest though his main attention remained on the wolf ahead of him whose colors were so similar to his.. an odd thing to occur outside of direct family, it seemed. Akamu shrugged mentally.. anything was possible.

Once Hige stopped, Akamu did as well, looking at him curiously.

Tahja Estes
"I wanted to talk to you about your family." Hige began, a bold way to start the conversation, admittedly, but as he settled onto his haunches he was sure that beating around the bush didn't suit the situation either.

Jestari
That, if nothing else, caught his attention. Akamu's ears came forward at attention as his head tilted to a small degree. "Why? Have you been able to find something about them?" A blunt answer, and a hopeful one, but fitting to the open way in which Hige had begun the conversation. The wolf sat as well- why not?- his attention still on the mountain wolf.

Tahja Estes
"Something like that."

Hige finally allowed a slightly uncertain grin and pawed at the ground with his claws before catching himself to stop.

"Until recently I couldn't really remember anything about my past. Where I came from, who my original pack was if I even had one. I had a weird feeling when I met you, like I knew your scent from somewhere. Akamu... we're brothers."

Jestari
Well, that was a shock.

Akamu sat frozen, staring at Hige in disbelief. Brothers? But.. he did not remember having any siblings at all in his pack. None. ".... Are you certain?" Admittedly, there were like things in both of them- from pelt coloration to the fact that Akamu couldn't recall his puphood beyond a certain point either. It was remarkable... highly convenient ... and altogether too improbable to be true. But...That small thing that had niggled at the back of his mind when he had first met Hige squirmed again, telling him that maybe.... Maybe...

The earth-toned wolf found himself hoping that Hige was indeed certain, though he couldn't bring himself to believe such a fortune. Not yet, anyway. It was far too good of a thing, for it to be happening to him.

Tahja Estes
"I admit, it sounds like a heck of a coincidence, but... I remember you scent and all."

He wondered if Akamu would believe him, it could be coincidence if you discounted the fact that Hige remembered Akamu's scent. Name, coloration, common past, it could all very well be coincidence, because Sadly Hige couldn't show Akamu his dreams. Did he really want to? It was painful enough for him to remember, did he want to pass on such horrible news?

Hige couldn't deny his disappointment, but he certainly understood. It would be rather upsetting if this turned out to be false in any way. Hige could hope though, it meant that their other two siblings, and maybe their father.... maybe they were still out there too. Maybe they'd already met? No... Hige hadn't gotten this feeling around any other wolves.

"I understand, hey, it really is pretty sudden hm?" He gave a small smile, obviously still hopeful. "Not sure how much longer we'll be in these freelands before we return, but our pack lands are south of here, it's about 6 moons away to the border, by the sea, by the mountains." The mountains, home... "Just in case."

Jestari
Akamu blinked, snapping out of his daze- most of the way, anyway- refocusing on the wolf in front of him. He gathered a tentative smile for the other, not wanting to appear completely closed off to his ally and, if he was right... brother.

He nodded to Hige, repeating the simple directions under his breath to ensure that he'd remember them. "Yes, just in case."

- Dreaming of Home -

Surrounded by scuffling bodies, but yet... unafraid. Happy even. A larger prescence dominates the enclosure towards the entrance, and, even though it is unseen through the fighting and the walls, another large prescence. Worried? ... Ah, but what did it matter? He was with his littermates, and he was winning the impromptu match! Had even plopped himself bodily on top of one of his brothers to keep him from making a comback. Odd black band around that one's neck that he and the others didn't have... though not so odd. He'd been born with it, afterall.

Safe. Happy. Uncaring of tomorrow, or even the next five minutes as long as he was with his brothers and sisters, and was winning the lighthearted scuffle.

Then....

Akamu opened his eyes with a snap, involuntarily sucking in a deep breath of surprise, although he didn't know exactly why he was surprised. He lay where he was for several minutes, trying to remember what his dream had been about.... and trying to ignore the pit that had formed in his stomach, hard and cold as the ice spear that formed on a cave during heavy winter. And just as sharp, jabbing his insides.

Eventually, the sense of forboding and the ice spear dissolved for the most part, although they left Akamu uneasily scouring his brain for remnants of his dream.

Nothing.

Vague ideas of a family, even vaguer ideas of who that family was.... and a sense of something bad happening that refused to go away. Akamu stood, shaking his head and body in hopes of ridding himself of that feeling- to no avail. With a sigh, the male set off to see if he could locate Helaku and Suzaku. Perhaps they could help him rid himself of the remnants of the dream....
