Wedding Outfitting:
The Bride:
The Shiromaku is traditionally used by brides from Samurai families. The pure white color signifies the beginning of a journey. This kimono is generally worn for the wedding ceremony.
------------------------------------------------------------
Uchikake originated from the beautiful and vibrantly colourful outer coat worn by courtisans in the royal court. This kimono is worn during the wedding reception, or banquet. There is a choice of Red or Blue.
------------------------------------------------------------
The large cap on the bottom is the more traditional cap worn by brides, called the Wata Boushi, symbolic for concealing a woman's horns. In other words, her consenting to be an obedient wife. This cap is worn during the wedding ceremony.
The upper cap, the Tsuno Kakushi has similar significance, but allows the bride's elaborate head style to show through. (Though Squinty Kitties do not wear the traditional hair style). This cap is worn during the wedding reception.
You can choose to wear either of these hats to be worn throughout the whole wedding without changing.
------------------------------------------------------------
The Groom:
The groom's wedding costume consists of yukata, hakama, and formal haori with the family crest on it, complete with a poofy cord to tie it up razz . Kitties can choose from two colours, Black and Grey.
------------------------------------------------------------
Wedding Needs and Favors:
San San Kudo Sake Set The exquisite miniature sized sake set consists of three flat cups and sake pitcher with wedding decoration, wooden signage, 8" by 5" base with shoji background.
During the wedding ceremony the bride and groom will take turns driving three sips from each of the three cups, to conclude the ceremony, and to symbolize that they are now married.
This item appears in the 'wedding room', as below.

Squinty Kitties Weddings Last one day, during this time both owners' kitties' identity scrolls will be replaced by the wedding room, as below. (Thanks for the example Riikii ^_-) Breeding and living arrangements come shortly after.
The Wedding Ceremony:This will be held in the RP, where all other kitties will be invited to attend. The marriage will be overseen by a Shinto priest, and will be finalized by the carrying out of San San Kudo (sake ceremony).
A Wedding Reception: If you would like, you may hold a party in the RP thread. The owners may invite gaian friends, both kitty owners and non-kitties owners to attend the celebrations. Geishas, Maiko and Waitresses will be invited to serve and entertain during the reception.
Living arrangements: After the wedding (or honeymoon), the newlyweds change out of their wedding garb and return to regular life. They may just revert back to the state they were before the wedding, or they may choose to have a shared identity scroll and room, such as the one below. (Thanks Riikii for providing the example ^_-).
Furniture previously owned will be placed in the same room. If both kitties previously owned the same item, I will take one out.
How to book a wedding:
Find a bride/groom by flirting plenty in the Squinty Kitties Role Play Forum! Agree with another kitty owner to marry and breed and gather up the funds. PM Squinty Kitties! using this form:

Rank and Class Information:
Your kitty's class or rank will not change through marriage unless it marries a royal. In the case of a royal marriage, the lower ranking kitty will rise to the class and rank of the other. E.g. if Tofu marries Tenshi, Tofu will become a Crown Prince. The kittens to the marriage will be classless and rankless, unless they are children to the royal family, in which case they will inherit the the class and rank of the highest ranking of the couple. E.g. if Tofu and Tenshi have a daughter, she will be a Crown Princess.
Breeding without having to hold a marriage ceremony:
If you can't be bothered with a wedding, you can choose to have an announcement made only and then have the kittens arive straight away. However, the price is still the same. Kitties who are already married can breed again every month, but only one kitten will arive, and there is a cap on 5 kittens per married couple. The price of a kitten at this stage will be 2k each.
General:
Marriages, births and a family tree will be kept by the central registry. Married kitties cannot marry again. Kitties can breed after reaching stage 3.
