When I was in 6th grade, I took my friend with me to a real, scare your pants off halloween event. We went with my mom and her bf at the time, and we had a blast. We took the haunted hay ride with the people who jump out in costumes and grab your ankles and such. We had caramel apples and danced a little, looked at costumes and even went into a haunted house area.
The haunted house thing took about 15 mins to get to through the hayride. It was located in a creepy old whitewash, clapboard courthouse that could have been a church in its past life. We stood in line for maybe 30 mins and when we got inside, of course me and my friend were the last in our group of about 8. The group consisted of mostly older adults, which was fine.
Two older teenage boys in psycho killer costumes hid behind the door and waited for the group to go inside so they could walk behind them and say creepy things. Only they were being stupid teenage boys trying to scare us and they got too close and at one point touched my friend's shoulder (against the rules, btw). So we hurried and scuttled to the front of the group.
We went up the stairs to the next room with a bunch of girls in a room wearing white makeup and dresses. They were sobbing and we both knew they'd jump out and scare us when we got close, so me, being the "smart" one, decided to run ahead before they could grab me too.
So I'm running and I look back to watch my friend behind me and I smack right into the wall, POW.
It was halarious and one of the girls came up to see if I was alright. I told her about the boys and she said they weren't supposed to do that, and to just think of the guys in costumes as ...guys in costumes. Well anyway, after that I didn't get scared at all, and I stayed in the middle of the group with my friend and I held her hand and such. She ended up getting piss-scared and was crying on the way out wanting to go home.
Just thought I'd share.

This event didn't take place on Halloween, it was some time after but it is a funny story.

A friend of mine, who claims to have a ghostly maid in her house, was having a sleepover and wanted to do an Ouija board. Now I've never played one of these before and don't plan too. I don't think you should play with one of them unless you're with someone that REALLY know what they're doing. Also she wouldn't let me put a ring of salt down. ¬¬ I didn't even know if it would have helped but would have made me feel better.

So they make the board out of a glass and some pieces of paper and start off. I'm sulking in the corner away from it all and after a while I've laid down and they think i'm asleep since I've got my back to them.
Finally the girl said in a angry voice 'Give us a sign you're here!' and this is where I was really mean.

The room had some hanging lights (sort of like christmas lights) hung over the door to the kitchen and I'd just reliesed I was laying with my head right next to the switch....so yeah...I flicked the lights on and off and couple of times. twisted
They all freaked out big time. And I'm biting my pillow to stop from laughing.

But that wasn't the best bit. After they had recovered they started up again so I got really with the switch. Again they asked 'Is someone here?' right at the moment I sarted flicking the switch her Step-dad started banging on the door to the stair. Needly to say they started scream. But then again so did I. He was only coming down to tell us to stop screaming.

Or though now I think about it I'm pretty sure he figured out what they were do and just wanted to scare the hell out of everyone.... stare

Of couse I had to tell them in the morning as i was leaving I was the one flicking the light. xd They really thought that had reached someone.
