Just a short time alone. Mkugenzi spent most of his waking hours playing with or watching over Kinamasi. Today though he had gotten the hint that they wanted a little alone time. Just the family so off he had gone. He was glad of the break and a short wander off towards the dry border of the swamps had risen his spirits to no end.
Of course he hadn't been away from the little family for a while, he did realise though that he should do this more often. Now that Umo had returned to be with his mate and Daughter, he would be needed less, though he would of course gladdly follow Kinamasi about when she wa sout on one of ehr 'explorations'.
Coming to the edge of the swamps Mkugenzi looked out over the savannah beyond. He smiled and nested himself between a large trees roots, a rest was definately required before he continued his little walk. After all he had all the time in the world.Hime Nawari looked up at the sun and blinked with her purple eyes, it wasn't to hot today witch was good then all you could do was to sleep all day and wait for it to be cooler then you would miss so much..
The little female wanderd in the direction of the swamp she knew it was the swamp because off it's special smell her mom had learned her that. Nawari was a newley an adult so there was sill so many things she could learn out there. Her siblings had always told her that she was always so playful how could you survive out there alone? Bah she tought just because you know how to have fun doesn't meen you know how to live..
She smiled and giggeld softly when she tought off it her silly siblings maybe one day they would learn that there was so many funny things out there..
Sitting up slightly from his restful possition, his tail curled around his haunches he watched ehr for a moment longer. Really, he was quite astounded, another genet around here? "Oi Be goin' boi the name Mkugenzi, whats ya name there lassy?"Hime Nawari wasn't use to all the scents so she missed the other genet she was rather suprised when someone started to talk to her. She turned around and saw a green boy and he was the same as her kind awww that was so sweet she haven't met any none family genets at all there was sadly not so many genets around. She smiled towards him and sat down at waved her tail playfully..
" Oh hallo there..oh me? well my name is Nawari nice to meet you "
She looked around maybe the swamp was a little dangerous but she used to be carefull..
"Course, I be livin' roun' ere lioke, I dun be seein' many Genets miss. I'm startin' ta think you may be one o them 'lusions that the gasses roun' hyar causes." He chuckles to himself, he really was quite facinated and amused taht another genet would wander in to his neighbourhood. "If ya be wantin' ta see the swamps tho oh hilushionary lady Oi be as good a guide as any an' you won't be gettin munched by no lions if ye be with me" He nodded an affirmative, all the lions around here knew him as Kikawaidas friend. there were mroe hazards of this swamp than just the sink holes, there were predators about.Hime (( heh i must go shopping ^^;; sorry syr maybe we can continue later or move it to the guild? )) The yellow girl tilted her head to the side and looked at the male he seemed to have some experience in life and specially in this area.
" Oh that doesn't sound good at all then i should be carefull "
She nodded and listend to him and not many genets here either sure she didn't look for them but it was a little sad seeing there wasn't many around. She hadn't actually met many lions either maybe seeing them in a distance but never met any so ceeping a distance towards them still sounded good..
" Oh maybe you wanna be my guide showing me around then? "

Mkugenzi have another of his rather piggish grunts and he looked at his front paws. he looked undecided for a long moment though he eventually pursed his lips and replied in that same gruff tone of voice "Aye if you loike I can show ye about. Tho ifn ya aint never been in a swamps before don't expect some fancy display" he cleared his throat and got to his paws stretching his tail out like a bottle brush "I loikes it moiself but it aint to everyones taste yanno?"
He sniffed and waddeld up to her with his tail swaying behind him. "Come on then, I'll show ya the best of it"

Nawari tought the males noices was funny she was more cat like and gracious. She waited for his answer it was always good to take a look around and learn new areas and it was even better when you have a guide. She smiled again when he said yes and got up on all four again to get ready..
" Oh great! i am sure it be exciting and i like all places...all places are exciting somehow "
She sniffed at him when he came a little closer and wagged her tail also he smelled funny just like the swamp but it wasn't nagative just diffrent then she was use to, she was more use to grass and bushes and trees..

Mkugenzi grunted. He hadn't always lived in the swamps, he had lived out on the grass lands once so the females scent was nothing new to him. He wasn't so much old as he was simply wizened to the world. He knew his place and he knew the swamp like the back of his paw.
Olive eyes rested on te female and he smiled a little to himself, his gruff mannerfaded for a moment and he gave a little bobbing nod "I don't reacon i ave seen a girl genet in a vury long time. I was startin' to think there wern't none left" he chuckled and turned away from her turning his head to smile in a rough and ready fashion "C'mon then, I'll show ya the pools first, mos' people likes them."
Nodding to hismelf a little the green genet seemed pleased with himself. somehow finding another genet and a female at that must have been a one in a million chance. Ah well, good company even for a short time should be appreciated, thats what his fatehr used to say. He was darn right. he was definately appreciative of this company of his own kind.

Nawari followed the male on light steps she wasn't so big after all and didn't make much noice while walking. She waved her tail back and fourth and walked right behind the male..
When he looked at her she smiled and blinked with her right eye towards him, she was always like that so happy over life and talkactive.
" Oh no females left? haha no i had both brothers and sisters so there are surley a few mroe females out there "
Maybe not near the swamp she tought her family liked bigger grasslands with bushes and many trees so they would never wander in this direction but Nawari tought it would be boring to stay at the same place hole life yuck no! she liked having some company too she hadn't met any off her own kind for a while..

Mkugenzi turned back to look at the little female for a moment. He to was pretty light on his feet though older and pretty settled so he had a fair bit of weight hanging on from a live of leasure giving him a sort of rounded chubby look. "Wull i was startin to think so. Knew a female once. Dunno where she went though" he grunted a little seemingly he wasn't impressed by this idea of there being no females around.
The green genet cleared his throat and he glanced at the creamy yellow female with a slightly garish grin. "Might be noice to ave a female roun' that is of course if you intend to stay for a bit" He cleared his throat and acctually looked, sheepish, which was very unusual for the gruff green male. "Been a whoile yanno? Been aroun' lions, ya kinda get used to it but there aint nout like your own kind."

The golden female felt sorry for the little male he seemed to have been alone for a while maybe lions and others where nice to be with but you own kind was always better and fun..
" Awww you poor guy i feel sorry for you, it always feels nice being with some off your own kind "
She walked closer to the male and walked up right next to him and patted him with her little tail on his back and smiled. Stay here maybe for a little while and she hadn't seen the area yet so maybe..
" Stay here? hmm maybe but first i need my guided tour~~ "

Mkugenzi grunted. He smiled a little he hadn't meant to make her feel sorry for him. Still, it was nice to have somone of his own kind near by and he flickered his tail and smil;ed weakly. "aye well, tis a noice enuf place once ye get used to it" he stated as he padded along taking her to the watery plains first.
The water was rather dark black almost though it was clean and drinkable over cast with trees and swampie vines. "tis noice ere, i often jus' come ere to look at the water. s noice int he moonlight." he points to an opening in the strange bare tree canopy which blocked the light but at the same time let it filter through. "when the moon is full it shiined roight through that ole there makes hte place shoine all majik loike" he stated with a grin his tail twitching before he cleared his throat. "jus' cause it's a swamp yanno don't mean it can't be byootiful"

Nawari smiled when she looked around the swamp it really was pretty around here even if it was a swamp and you could see that she liked it. Then she turned her had back to Mkugenzi she had these intense purple eyes that always looked happy..
" It's really pretty here~~ so i understand why you like it here "
She then walked over to sniff at some bushes and other plants and strange things that was growing here. She wiggeld her tail happily while she walked around exploring..
" So you have a girl you like around here? or maybe a few friends? "

Mkugenzi made another of those little grunting sounds though he looked proud of the fact that she liked his home. "Aye, tis very pretty if ya be lookin in the rioght places" He smiled his tail flickering a bit as he watched her.
When she mentioned friends or a female he looked decidedly embaressed "oh no missus there baint no other genets roun' ere, jus me an the lions, lioke i said I aint seen 'nother genet since I was a cuib an thats bein' a fair wiole ago." He sighed gently it was a touch depressing that there wern't alot of genets about.

Nawari couldn't help to giggle at his grunt sounds they where rather silly but cute. She put one off her white paws on a stone full off some mushrooms growing in the swamp everything was so weird here..
" Yes but i think almost every place is pretty i have never seen an ugly place before "
She then sat down and tilted her head when she heard his answer aww that poor male no girlfriend or any other genet friends that was just sad but he was right there wasn't many genets around she had only met her family before and Genzi those was the only genets she met..
" I can be your girlfriend..umm i meen i am a girl and i can be your friend even if i don't stay that long "
She tought that the words comming out off her mouth sounded really weird...maybe she should have used the worl friend instead..she always had to rush into things even when she talked..

Mku'genzi looked at the little female in a rather surprised way he blinked and cleared his throat, he loked at his dark green toes for a moment before turninhg his olive eyes upon the femme "aye, well, oi would appreciate that greatly much ma'am, I uhm, well Oive been alone 'cept the lions for a long toime now, was startin' to think that there baint be no other genets." He cleared his throat again tapping his toes on the ground as he did so.
"If it would uhm, wull, if you loike, I could maybe fiond you some place to stay even ifn i't just fer a lil wiole, moi den it's plenty big enuf fer two." he continued looking at his paws, he wasn't very good at this, perhaps if it was a male genet before him he wouldn't feel so embaressed about asking if they would like to stay, but this was a female, a young and pretty female! He'd never had any sort of female relations, well except his mother, and she was rough old bird not dainty and sweet like Nawari, was he doing this right at all?

She gave him another smile she had no problems looking at him either even if her comment was a little embarrasing for her too but she didn't care really everyone does embarrasing things sometimes..
" Awww you are so cute you know that..is it ok if i call you Genzi? it's much simple if it's ok of course? "
She perked her ears toawrds him when he was talking maybe she should stay a while after all this male was very nice and could be a very good friend or he wasn't already..
" Sure sure maybe you wanna show me the place then...and i hope you have no problems sleeping next to a female do you? "

"ye can call me what ever ye likes miss long as it aint mud" He grins broadly a slight sparkle in those dark olive coloured eyes. Smiling lighly he flickered his tail "You'll be much welcome nawari" he clears his throat again "an oi'll no be moindin' at all" His ears twitched then and he turned to show her the way to his den "it's jus this way, not too far to go Oiloikes to keep close to the lions got some good friends o'er thar yanno?" clearing his throat he nudged her shoulder and smiled lightly "you canbout stay s'long as you loike, I'll be precciatin' the company muchly"

" Oh why would i call you that? i just shortend your name a little " She pounced his back with her tail lightly he was silly she would never call him that at all..and sleeping in his den couldn't be that bad and she needed a place to sleep at anyway and this was just perfect..
" Ok then show me the way to your home then...i already know it is nice but i wanna see it anyway of course "
