Looks different yeah? Well here's the scoop. It's a posable model kit. Not just any posable model kit either. This baby is supposed to feature part complexity on the level of the Master Gundam line. It's super detailed, super posable and remains at the same scale of the other zoids of 1/72.

Featuring multiple small parts, it'll likely be a decent build. Look at the detail, the missile arms have small hydraulics, there's a zoid core (though somewhat larger than it should be), all four panels on the head are deployable, the limbs are fully jointed, even the toes look to be posable. If that weren't enough, it's even supposed to be able to support the old CPs and as luck would have it I have a spare CP-01 :3
Yes, the head looks a bit funky and that's received mixed reactions. Some people say it looks ugly, some people say it's a brave new attempt (ie, polite talk for 'it looks weird') and some people like it. No matter what though, this is something new for zoids and it has the potential to be huge. My informant tells me (and this guy correctly told me of a certain Limited Blue Lanstag over a month before it was unveiled in a hobby magazine) that there'll be a Saber Tiger and Red Horn in the same vein as well though personally I think that's dependant on how well this does.
Personally, I love the idea and kit. I've wanted this kind of super posable, super detailed model kit for years now, even long before blox appeared on the scene. I'm going to be getting one for sure and I highly recommend you all get one too.
Oh and on a random note, there's supposed to be a new Whitz Wolf to come out in the future months too. Most probably a straight recolour and my intuition tells me it'll likely be a convention exclusive like the Blue "Mass Produced" Lanstag is.
