It was the bussiest time of the year in Gion, a time when the petals of the cherry blossoms fell down to earth like a soft rain on a winter month. When mother earth had finally come out of her slumber, and danced with life like a newly born butterfly. Inside the Krimson Okiya Nick, a seventeen year old boy, with; earthy brown hair, dazziling emerald green eyes, and perfect pink pouty lips set upon lightly sunkissed skin. Stood behind Sakura, a thirty-seven year old woman, with; Earthy brown eyes, black straight shoulder length hair, soft velvety red lips set upon a snow white mask with a touch of rouge. In a deep crimson and black male maids kimono, putting the last minute touches on Sakura's stunning blue kimono that had enchantingly gnarled cherry trees that reached up the right side and up towards the left shoulder. He stepped to the side as Tetsu, an old woman, with; long peppered hair that was pulled into a tight bun, black eyes, and dry pursed lips set upon pale wrinkly skin. Struck two peices of flint over Sakura's back. Nick looked up as his mother quckly fluttered out of the okiya and down the street holding a pink laced umbrella to meet her dana, which had been his father. Although his mother was one of the most succesful geshia in gion, he remained only a servant in their okyia. And their relationship as mother and son where kept secret from the public of Gion, like most things including his fathers identity. This was done as a precaution, to make sure no wealthy clients where scared away by the thoughts of a Geisha with a son. Even his own father knew nothing of his existance, even though this was a mutual thing. Nick rose his head to Tetsu which was the "mother" of the Okiya, as well as his grandmother. Tetsu had retired about the age of fifty, when the Okiya had been turned over to her, by her adopted mother. She looked at him and smiled "I have an errand for you to run." she said walking off down the narrow hall, and returning a few minutes later with a package. "I need you to bring this to the Misa Teahouse for letting your mother preform there." Nick took the package and slipped on his sandals and made his way down the dirt road towards the teahouse, he had later learned the Misa teahouse had received it's name a few days after it's grand opening when a horrid thunder storm had rolled over Gion. And the teahouse became a shelter from the storms harse rains and thunder.

Shuri was a very small boy who's come from a fishing village on a far off coast. He was strange, very needy like, and smaller than the other boys. Ayame had been looking after him since the storms came. The head nurse of the shelter had said that Shuri had "a strange essence" about him, Ayame just couldn't seem to sense. None of the other women in the shelter wanted to work with him,in fact, they didn't want to be around him at all. So it was more like Ayame had been assigned to young Shuri, and that was fine with her. He did most of the talking anyways. Ayame was quite young herself, a peeking 15 years behind her and not another until the winter. The sun had been shining most of the day, but like all good things, it came to a sudden end and the grayish clouds overtook the skies like a warning. Ayame ushered Shuri into the room and slid the door shut. She bit her bottom lip, wondering what she shoudl say, alas Shuri looked preoccupied enough by himself; Ayame didn't want to ruin it. She went out back into the courtyard knowing soon the rain would come and the thunders would roll in. And she would be more frightened than the children in the shelter. Most of the Geisha here had not been permitted to leave the teahouse, for fear of destroying precious belongings carried with them, or worn by them. Still nobody had come to fetch Ayame. She was still lost as she had been when she was first brought to the hanamachi, and as beautiful as peopel told her she was, and as wonderful the Geisha they said she would become, Ayame was scared. She denied their words, forbid them to hit her ears. She was not all of those things, she would ruin the name of Geisha if she ever made it that far, and with lack of confidence she doubted she would. These storms made it worse for her. Her big sister was far away at their own okiya. And now she was stuck at the tea house being more of a real big sister to Shuri. Ayame sighed a little and raised her eyes to the roads in the distance leading up to the distance. Most had been deserted, but here she found one- a strange boy coming in the direction of the teahouse. Strange indeed she thought, shivering a little. She wondered whether to go back inside, but curiosity lead her to stay rooted to her spot and watch the boy along his course.

Nick looked up towards the sky and smiled slightly as the clouds rolled in, He thought it was ironic that he was going to the Misa teahouse during a misa storm. He gave a slight bow to the girl standing at the door, and continued through the papyrus doors. Only letting his emerald green eyes fall upon hers for the slightest moment. he was happy he would be stuck in the teahouse with the geisha. He liked most of them, they where so elegant. Infact as a small child as he watched his mother get ready he would pretend to escourt one of these beautiful geisha around, or perhaps even see life from their eyes. He often thought of what it was like to be a geisha, and if there where any male geisha. He snapped back to reality as, the teahouse mistress began to speak "Have you brought somtihng from you okiya?" she asked looking at him, nick bowed and placed the silk wrapped present in her arms "Come on I have a room for you, theres no way you'll make it back to your okiya in time for the rain. Nick bowed "Oh mam' I am greatful for your kindness, but I must be getting back." as he said this a loud clash of thunder roared through the sky, and the rain fell upon Gion like waves in the wind. "next time listen to you elders when they say somthing boy, Come on now I'll have you somthing to eat brought up." she said , nick looked back at the girl still standing outside and followed the mistress up stairs.

The boy had ended his journey here, at the teahouse. Stunned Ayame could only hurry into the house and slide into her slippers. "Ayame-san, you're needed in the kitchens." One of the women said. Ayame nodded and was torn from her path to the small kitchen where she met with Kanna, the hostess' right hand women who was very strict and never overlooked any detail no matter how small. "Bring this to our visitor, be quick! We'll need more help soon enough." Ayame only nodded as Kanna shoved a tray of miso soup and tea into her outstretched arms and pushed her back out the kitchen door. Ayame stumbled slightly and regained herself before starting up the narrow stairway to the rooms. She hesitated a few moments chewing on her lip like always. She stood before the thin door and lifted her hand to the small chime the served as a bell. She took a deep breath and rang it twice. "Sir, you're dinner is ready." She said in an octave higher than she had hoped. There were a few seconds prep before the door slid opened and the boy from earlier appeared. Ayame steadied herself, and gave a quick bow offering the tray of food to him. He took it with an unreadable expression leaving Ayame more nervous than she'd been in her entire life. Not knowing what else to say she gave up. "Well if you need anything, I and the other girls will be downstairs." She exclaimed and bowed again before turning to leave.

That's alright, I'm afraid I probably won't be on for a long while after this, but I agree. Until we meet again.
