By the time mid noon rolled around, Adem had found himself quite contently curled up next to his new traveling partner and friend Thanda. He shifted slightly in his sleep, groaning as the bright sun peered past his eyelids and into his sun colored eyes. Stupid bright ball of light! It's suppose to still be dark out! He yawned, wearily opening his eyes, wanting the feeling of sleep to continue to evade his senses.
His golden gaze looked towards the female adult before moving to stand. Nothing like a little morning bath to wake you up, right? He moved into the cool water, splashing lightly on his orange spotted fur, before licking at his paws. Mm baths.

She woke up slowly not quite sure where she was but once her orange eyes laid on his orange pelt she remembered it all pretty quickly.
She stood up and stretched letting out a large yawn showing off her ivory teeth. Once stretched and feeling a little more awake she went down to the water to lap some of it up. She didn't feel much like a bath but it was definatly tempting to play with the male in the water, that would most definatly be fun.
Her orange eyes watched him for a while as she tried to work out exactly what it was she was going to do, her tail swayed from side to side and she was most definatly going to pounce him, 1...2...3...

Playing again? Hadn't they had enough of that...obviously not.
Adem had either not heard and seen Thanda get up, or perhaps he had, and was currently plotting something. He purred contently, licking at his paws before bringing them to his ears. Clean ears equal happy cheetahs, his mother had always said to him. He never quite understood it, seeing as cheetahs used more of their feet then ears. It probably was just some quote to get little cits to wash up. Well...it worked for the little sunspot.
Golden eyes rested on the water as her mental countdown began. His tail flicked behind him, smirking slightly. Oh yes, he knew what she was plotting. Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see the swaying form of the cheetah female. That pose was oh so familiar!

Thanda watched him wash before she pounced him, she had no idea if she got him or not, her eyes closed as the water splashed up at her. She had never liked water around her eyes or getting in them, it was horrible and painful!
She was quite happy though, she was really playful and seemed to have an endless amount of energy, it was somewhat strange but she was happy.

Fortantly for Thanda, she had caught him. Adem plummeted into the water, the female close on his heels. He gasped lightly, his nose going under. Struggling slightly, he mewled, shrugging his shoulders forward to shift the adult off of him. Once she had moved, his head through up. "You are quite playful in the morning." He chuckled, glancing at the female before standing.
He stretched. "What's there to do around here?" The sunspot asked. He'd been in the coalition for so long he'd forgotten some of the adventures that'd await just beyond the horizon. Perhaps the female would know of something to do?

She laughed a little and splashed around in the water for a bit. "Well you can never tell really! Everything happens and you have no control over it! We could hunt? Its always good to hunt in the mornings, it gets too hot later!" She smiled and swam to the waters edge to get out and dry off in the sun, her playful boost was over and done with, for now.

Adem nodded. That was true. When the desert sun reached high in the sky, it was impossible to even think about hunting! Since summer was quickly approaching, as well as the rainy seasons, Africa would become unbearable in heat before being flooded with the waters.
"Works for me," Adem nodded, leaving the water, shaking himself dry. "I am a bit hungry..." Even though they had eaten just the day before, hadn't they? Oh well, Adem was still a growing adolscent, so he needed his nutrition! "What should we hunt today?" The male chuckled. He never got to ask that question before.

Thanda smiled, "I don't know.. depends what your small legs can deal with!" She tilted her head and chuckled a bit. She was just messing with him, joking. She liked to mess about it was far more interesting then being serious and just answering the simple question.

"My legs may look strong, but I'm fast! You watch!" He said indignantly, like a little child trying to prove his point.
"I think there is a small herd of gazelles just beyond the tall grasses that way!" He pointed to the west with his paw, before gazing over his shoulders. He hadn't said goodbye to Colche or Laio before he left the Coalition to travel with Thanda. Perhaps one day he'd stop by and say hello again.

She nodded, "you choose which one and what side you are going to run, I will follow on the other to single it out!" She chuckled. It was definatly fun to be with someone else and not on her own again, it was great fun.

Adem nodded, stalking through the grasses. There before the two cheetahs, grazed a herd of gazelles probably with the head count of ten or so. Adem growled slightly, his eyes glazing over slightly as the 'look of the hunt' toggled into his brain. "That one." He hisses slightly, pointing to the small female that was the closest to them. "I'll go left, you right." And with that, the small form creeped left, trying to keep his sounds as quiet as possible.

Once told which one she was after, her ears went flat on her back and her body lowered untill she was told to run, which would be when Adem did, because that should make the female run towards her. That would be a plan anyway.

Two steps..then one. ATTACK!
Adem jumped from his hiding spot, scaring the whole herd half to death. A predator! A predator! Everyone run! was the sense everyone was going through. The female who had been the target, seemed to be the most frightend of them all. Adem snarled, his small (but fast!) legs carrying him quickly towards Thanda. Oh, he hoped the female was watching carefully, for he didn't want her to be trampled! 'Get him, Than, get him!' He murmured under his breath.

Thanda didn't really want to run much but they weren't like lions, they hunted differently.
As the food got nearer she sprang up shocking the female even more that it stumbled for a second. A second to may. Thanda was at her trying to trip her up. Her body trying to knock the other sideways.

Being a cheetah, they tired more in the hunt. Adem had already began to slow just as Thanda managed to freak the prey even more. "Perfect" he murmured, panting slightly as he slowly loped after the stumbling gazelle. If Thanda knocked the deer over, Adem would go for the neck, cutting off the air supply. It was probably the quickest way from a preyanimal to die in the savannah, and probably the most deathly.
