at my school, all these faggy prepps, punks, posers, skaters, etc. are turning Emo. They all slit their wrists, get an Emo haircut, and they think they are all kool, and they pretend to be gay or bi. and i feel so sad that everyone else is turning emo crying it was my thing at school. god, this ******** sucks. Is this happening at anyone elses schools, or has anyone been noticing this happening anywhere??????

At my school, basicly everyone is a poser.
But we know who the posers are.
At least my friends do.
But alot of the popular kids are fooled by some other labels that LOOK like emo, and some may call themselves emo because they like PANIC and such.
(btw, PANIC is not exactly emo).
But if you know who you are, and who your friends are, you don't have to wory about the posers.
If they have to fake it to be like you, you obviously don't need them.
And then when emo is not popular, they'll go back to being preppy.
although, don't hate all posers- even though annoying, some can be very nice. Like Katie.
KATE: ZOMG SURRAH! I AM GETTING THE SAME SHOES AS YOU! NOW WE CAN BE TWINZ LOLOLO!!!!!
and then she said we akways talked about our shoes. Which we didn't.
But she was still nie.

I dont think its up to you to decide what other people like.
How do you know they're poser.
Just because they look like a prep,
Doesnt mean they are.
Someone could have an 'emo' haircut,
Just because they like the style.
It doesnt mean they're posing..

Being called a poser myself, I have sympathy for newly turned emos/etc. If we're going to be so closed-minded as to not allow change, we shouldn't be making fun of other people.
I just started wearing heavy eyeliner and people were calling me all sorts of names. They thought I was trying to be "goth" and s**t. No, I just like the makeup, thanks. I enjoy darker aspects of things and always have but I only started letting it show this year.
The fact that there are no other emos/goths/anyoneexceptpreps at my school doesn't help...
But I don't have a problem with "posers"--at least they're trying.
