In photography class two years agao, we were assigned to take portraits against a black background, and assignment i never got to do because my camera had to be replaced around the same time. I used my digital to take these in the back of the bus where there was limited lighting, and tried to keep the retouching to a minimum...mostly burning faint details out of the black BG, which i know how to do in the darkroom anyway.
other photographs i took on the same trip:
Trying to take more dynamic scenery photos.

Hey, would you be terribly offended if I said I wanted your tongue in my mouth?
If you are, then forget I said anything.
What?

The black and white ones have a lot of personality, and are so nice and crisp! The way that the black of the model's hair (your hair?) merges with the black in the background is a nice effect.
May I ask what type of camera you use?

What kind of camera do you have that captures details so crisply? I love all of this!
My fave is the first lighthouse. Dynamic is right, that is the most interesting picture of a lighthouse I've seen and let me tell you that living where I live I see photos of lighthouses all of the time.
Second one feels more generic. A fairly standard lighthouse pic.
oh what? you sly dog

it's a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P120 generic tourist camera i bought for my trip to france.
although i brought my 35mm camera, the digital is just about a thousand times more convenient, so i find myself playing with it alot more.
What? of course not.

Agreed. heart
The only photo I don't like is the one with the chem-trails. Then again, I don't blame you, the photographer, but I do blame the government.
Damn the government.

s**t son, I never would have guessed that those were taken in the back of a bus. That's amazing. This is really good photography, in my opinion. Especially for darkroom work -- I spent a good while in my school's darkroom, and I never achieved anything that crisp and clean. None of it was digitally touched up? Maybe I misread something, I dunno. I also really love the photograph of the boy sleeping. It doesn't look amateur at all to me; it looks professional.
I've fallen in love with your photography! heart
EDIT: OH I DID MISREAD IT. They were all done with a digital camera; I see now. xd Still, I love the photos!
