The Divine Comedy by Dante? I've read all of the Inferno, and about half of Purgatory. It takes all of my concentration to soak it in, and sometimes I get distracted. That's why I quit about halfways through.

I liked how vivid his descriptions of hell were. It made me fell as though he was actually there. I don't remember much of the details though. I read it a few months back, and I didn't absorb it all. I plan on re-reading it though.
