No kidding!
One of Setsuna's brilliant moments came during 82nd Period when Negi and Setsuna found themselves back to the begining of MahoraFest in day 1.
Setsuna's lines:
"It's cus of you that i can even be here like this, enjoying myself..."
"If it weren't for you Negi-sensei i..."
"but i haven't really done anyth..."
"You have tho! and don't think i don't know it"
"If anyone, it's Asuna-sna you should thank"
"Hush now i'm thanking you"
"Negi-sensei"
"If i'm close to Konoka-Ojosama- if i'm, friends with Asuna-san......
it's because of you."
"You are very special to me , Negi-sensei...i owe you."
"If ever you need me, i'll be right there for you."
"Got it?"
Now that's what i like to see about fictional characters in manga (and sometimes anime). I never thought i'd see her alone with Negi and come up with such sweet words. 3nodding
Back then when she first debuted before the Kyoto trip i didn't think she would be such a good person in my opinion, but after seeing how things changed i'm glad i can finally admit that i love this person.
Congradulations Setsuna Sakurazaki. You are now one of the best in the class roster for 2-A in my opinion. cool

THIS IS SO ABSOLUTELY TRUE. It was a real tearjerker. (Considering that I'm a guy, wow. Considering that I'm a guy who's such a fan of the series, well, you get the idea.)
High congrats to Ken Akamatsu for creating yet another unforgettable character. Go Ken Go!

Well back before the Kyoto trip started, Setsuna seemed like an enemy, until she admitted she was actually an ally of Negi. Still after that she insisted on being distant and away from not just everyone but from her childhood friend Konoka just because she wasn't ready to defend Konoka again incase of an emergency. confused After a few issue releases she was convinced to stick around but i still found that she was coming off as a cocky character. But until volumes 8-9 came around my hate towards her started wearing off. But now that i see she appreciates what people have done for her i can finally say she is actually a good person.

I don't think it's her being cocky so much as she's afraid that people will find out her secret (and her other secret) then tease, ridicule, and/or shun her for it. She should know better than that regarding Konoka, but before being taken in by Eishun her childhood was probably nigh on unbearable, so avoidance is probably an ingrained defense mechanism.

She might as well reveal her sercret. Half the classroom by now finds it amazing and interesting that Negi is a mage, Asuna thinks Sakurazaki's wings are cool, and in the anime Makie considered Sayo her first ghost friend.... neutral

but there are also rules from her clan. first of all, she is not supposed to show her wings, second, her wings are white which equals bad luck for the bird tribe.....i think xd

Setsuna's wings secret is in a similar situation like Negi's magic secret - the more people know about it, the bigger chance they have on recieving the consequences [Setsuna would be shunned and banished from the Uzoku clan altogether, while Negi would turn into an ermine and probably other things as well]. Secrets are supposed to be kept [but I suppose some people believe in the rule that you're allowed to tell only one other person razz ]

Well...........while that's true, they can still spill the secrets. So far no one has threaten Negi to be reported so i'm sure it'll be the same with Sakurazaki.
Let's see, Kaede, Tatsumiya, Yue, Nodoka, Konoka, Ku Fei, etc etc.....they know about Negi's magic but also decided to keep it a secret. No one has been a threat yet unless that's the case in later chapters of the manga.
Negi has become a very lovable person amogst his classmates, why would anyone screw him in the a**?
Most importantly, they wouldn't know who to go to and spill. Except Eva who is the only person at this rate that can really ruin Negi.
I can understand Negi's co-workers also ruining it for Negi especially now that Mei Sakura and that other high school student from Mahora (name unknowed so far) caught him on a so called date with Miyazaki. They even said it, they find it hard to see him as a child(or was it teacher/mage?).
