How can no one love this wonderful story by the talented Takaya Natsuki? Not only is it funny, it's sweet and has a rather deep plot, and many twists to it which keeps the story interesting, and the reader wanting to know more.

Fruits Basket is a manga and anime series about a young girl named Tohru Hondar-chan who starts to live with the Sohma family when they find out she's living on their property in a tent. She then learns that that Sohma family have a secret, and that secret is that there are 13 people, 3 girls, 10 males, who can turn into the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals plus the Cat. There are so far 17 mangas in the series, 7 and/or 8 mangas which are out in English, and it is rumored that there might be 18 mangas all together, but no one is certain since then 18th manga isn't even out in Japan yet. There is also an any series, which has 26 eps.

I have seen the anime, and read up the the fifth manga, thanks to Wicked, however I do know quite a lot more about this series due to being in a Fruits Basket Guild. Of course, I won't give away spoilers, and if I do they'll by in white writing.

*mouth drops at spoiler* Is that really true??? Wow... that kinda explains alot... and yet nothing. xp Well anyway... right pairings! I have the whole anime and up to book 7 of the manga!! This is one of my favorite series if not THE favoritist one of all (yes i made up a word). I adore Haru/Yuki ... if Yuki would just get the stick out of his butt he and Haru can have lots of pretty.. err... well you know (for those that need censoring.. but then again why would they be here?? sweatdrop )

I also like Yuki/Kyo and Haru/Kyo... hell I like Haru and Kyo with just about anyone... especially me! 3nodding
Ooo I read a really good Haru/Kyo/Yuki once... that was fun. Hmmm Ayame/Shigure, Ayame/Hatori are also good. Heck it's Fruits Basket.. pair off any two.. or three.. or more if your really kinky, and you've got a GOOD combination with guarenteed moistness! (screw the censoring!) whee

And you're so right, it's so easy just to pair every singel FB character with someone of the same gender... ^^

I so felt the excat same way when I first learnt about it. But it makes perfect sense if you read the info all about why it's like it is.

And they are, I keep on wanting the to kiss... mind you I'd be happy if just one of the main male characters kissed another male character. xd

Ayame would be more likely to kiss Hatori before he kisses anyone else. And you're right, Huru would probably kiss Yuki first before Kyo ever kisses him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the did more the way they acted... sweatdrop
