Magneto Facts:
Arguably the most powerful being on the planet, Magneto is a mutant with the superhuman power of magnetokinesis. He can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. Magneto can thus lift, move, and physically alter objects (sometimes weighing many thousands of tons). He is even capable of manipulating the bloodflow to one's brain to induce aneurysms or unconsciousness. He can absorb and redirect electricity, control ferrous particles in the atmosphere (even the very air), alter the Earth's magnetic field which extends into space as the Magnetosphere, increase his own strength to the extent of being able to exchange blows with at least Colossus, fly in or beyond the Earth's atmosphere, and achieve an indefinite range of other effects.
With the primal forces of nature at his command, Magneto has stopped armies, moved mountains, and threatened to devastate the world with apocalyptic floods and earthquakes. Magneto once blanketed the entire globe with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse that caused widespread devastation. It is unclear, however, whether he must draw magnetic force from outside himself (if so, then he can do so over vast distances). It could also be that he can both naturally generate and draw on the earth's magnetic field to increase his power, effectively making him both a reservoir and a conduit.
Although Magneto's primary power is magnetism, he seems to have some ability to project or manipulate any form of energy that is related to magnetism, or the entire electro-magnetic spectrum. He can open wormholes through space, create almost impenetrable force fields, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. He can fire bolts of electricity and of pure magnetic force and can create enough intense heat to destroy a metal door, as he is able to manipulate the entire electromagnetic spectrum. (He has also dispersed a "flame cage" created by the original Human Torch, but whether he had simply expanded his personal force field or employed something else entirely is unclear.) He can also reverse lasers, electricity, and other forms of radiation or energy when fired at him. In addition, he can create anti-gravity fields and does so whenever he levitates non-magnetic objects. When the imposter Xorn was disguised as Magneto, he increased his powers fifteen times over with the Kick drug, and the Stepford Cuckoos said that he was now powerful enough to 'do something to gravity and time'. However, Magneto tends to use magnetism.
Magneto also possesses some psychic abilities, such as the ability to create a psychic shield for protection against psionic attack. At times he has read minds, astral projected and, aided by a device of his creation, controlled minds. (Note: He has controlled minds without the device, but only through manipulating the iron in blood and redirecting its flows through the brain) Charles Xavier referred to Magneto's "latent telepathy" and used Magneto's help to break past the mental shields of Galactus. It should also be noted that initially their attempts were futile until Magneto became enraged at the prospect that Galactus might ignore them, and thus created a "surge" as Xavier put it, forcing Galactus to take note of them.
Magneto's ability to wield his superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces. When his powers are not at their peak, he appears to have greater difficulty controlling forces other than magnetism.
Magneto's suit is made of flexible metal bonded on the molecular level, providing protection against projectiles, energy weapons, and concussive force. His helmet, which is constructed out of the same metal as Charles Xaviers "Cerebro", allows him to keep telepathic attacks from harming him and also shields his mind from "Cerebro".
Magneto is an expert on genetic manipulation and engineering with knowledge far beyond that of contemporary science. He is considered to be a genius within various scientific fields. He has the technology to mutate humans in order to give them superhuman powers or create adult clones of human beings and then manipulate the genetic structures of these clones during their development. He has created artificial living beings, designed magnetically-powered skycraft and spacecraft, complex robots and computers and magnetically-powered generators.
Magneto is a skilled strategist and has more than a rudimentary knowledge of hand-to-hand combat.

Silver Surfer Facts:
The Silver Surfer possesses vast power known as the "Power Cosmic," gained when Galactus restructured his former body. He has the ability to channel ambient cosmic energy into his body at will, and expel it violently as concussive force or gently as a means to restructure molecules according to his mental design. He can generate beams of energy with sufficient destructive force to annihilate a planet or generate such subtle amounts of energy to restructure the molecules of the natural pigments within a plant to change its color. The Surfer can rearrange the molecules of matter to create other configurations, and can transmute elements. While he can use his power to revitalize life energies and heal the wounded, there is no proof that he can create life or return the dead to the living.
The Surfer possesses vast superhuman strength, allowing him to lift in excess of 100 tons. He can additionally increase his physical strength with the Power Cosmic, enabling him to move virtually limitless amounts of mass. In addition, his body can move and react at superhuman velocities.
The Silver Surfer has certain cosmic energy-enhanced perceptions which enable him, through concentration, to become aware of the patterns of energy which surround him. Accordingly, he can sense great concentrations or deployments of energy in a great range, the extent of which is undetermined but is at least on a solar system level. He has a special affinity for the life energies of living beings, and can use his cosmic powers to augment them to a certain degree. The Surfer's other senses are also thus enhanced: he has demonstrated the ability to see as far as a light year while concentrating and without obstructions to his line of sight. Although the Surfer's senses are superhumanly keen, his sometimes detached and introspective nature occasionally leaves him unaware of his surroundings.
The forces binding together the molecules making up the silvery material that composes the Silver Surfer's "skin" are so great that there are few known forces in the universe great enough to overcome them. The inner portions of his body have also been made highly resistant to injury. Thus, the Surfer is invulnerable to most forms of physical harm. He can withstand great extremes of temperature caused by the build-up of friction within atmospheres or the vacuum of space or the intense heat within stars. He has even flown near a star's core on at least one occasion. He can survive without difficulties in the vacuum of outer space and hyperspace, and his body can withstand the stresses of travel at near-light speeds in this universe and of even greater speeds, in hyperspace. He has maintained that he is no longer in fact "mortal", but this is most likely an inference that he has very little in common biologically with humans, rather than an assertion that he cannot be killed. It is likely that the Surfer does not age; his counterpart in the future timeline of the Guardians of the Galaxy is over a thousand years old and is at least as powerful as his present-day counterpart. The Surfer's mind has also been restructured so that he has considerable resistance to telepathy and other mind control methods. He has the ability to communicate with various alien species regardless of their native language, and to speak to others in the vacuum of space, possibly through a limited form of telepathy.
The Silver Surfer does not need to eat or breathe since he absorbs life-maintaining cosmic energy directly through his skin. Although his body does not require sleep, his mind must still rest in order to give it an opportunity to dream.
By using his board to exceed 99% of the speed of light (186,000 miles per second), the Surfer can shift himself into hyperspace, a dimension in which velocity is not limited by the speed of light. The Surfer can also compress his own bodily matter so as to shift himself into a so-called microverse. Additionally, he can phase his body's molecules to pass through solid matter or energy. The Surfer has shown the ability to manipulate "temporal" or "chronal" energies and has proven himself able of traveling to the past on more than one occasion.

Surfer takes it. He can manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum even better than Mags can, and he controls a bunch of other forces as well, not to mention he is much faster and has way more firepower.
