This thread is reserved for Asahi Kumoru to RP with, and maintain a diary for, his Silva Regia Fey, Ardea. Thank you to Anya! for her permission to use her diary concept. DO NOT POST HERE UNLESS YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY INVITED TO BY ASAHI! Violators will be reported to a moderator. Background: The son of Spina, the court scribe, and his wife Penna, Ardea was 8 years old when he was trapped by the curse. He was in training to walk in his father's footsteps, recording the history and proclamations of the King and Queen of the Sun Court, when he was imprisoned in his window. He was the third Fey to be freed from the curse and was freed by Kuyalu, who recently vanished. In his teen stage he is a handsome youth, albeit more intellectual than brawny. Personality: Ardea is a strange bird, pun intended. He is not as strong or as muscular as many of the male fey, and is instead thin and willowy, very much reflecting the heron for which he is named. He is an intellectual rather than an athlete, and he can be a bit arrogant about his knowledge. He is also a bit abrasive at times (Think Professor Snape from Harry Potter), and hides insecurities about his appearance by putting down other's for their lack of intellect.

Timeline 7/14/05 - Having stressed myself a nasty cold, I went to pay a visit to Miss Ursa for a cure at Miss Muris' suggestion. 11/11/05 - I ran across Miss Lutra today in the library. She has grown nicely since I met her when she was a child. 1/11/06 - Tonight I was abruptly thrust into adulthood. Such disturbing symptons accompanied the change.... 1/20/06 - I strayed quite far from the castle today on a walk, and encountered Feles of the Moon Court. We actually had quite a nice chat. 5/31/06 - I summoned a bat familiar. For being a 'familiar', it is very strange to have Ink around.

I have not been sleeping well, so I have a bit of a cold. Not that I ever looked so wonderful to begin with. Long stringy blue hair, bright blue eyes... And I am too tall without enough muscle. Fortunately, it only takes a moderate amount of clothing to cover up a lot of skinny. Not sure why I wear a necklace, armlet, or anklet. It is not like they would help me much, appearance-wise.

Fey I have met Muris � I recently had the chance to speak with Miss Muris, though I was quite ill at the time. She was rather broken up over the recent loss of her dear friend, a fey named Alces. I did what I could to encourage the poor girl that her friend may stil live; I only hope I was able to help her. Lutra � Gods, the questions! She is spirited, I will give her that, and kind enough. I only hope that she will learn her way about the library as she grows, so she can seek answers for herself. Ursa - She gave me herbal tea and honey to help me recover from my illness. She seems like an interesting person. I will have to speak with her again, to let her know how the remedies worked. Feles - He is my Moon Court counterpart, it seems. I encountered him out in the forest between our two homes, and was able to speak with him for a little while before we had to part. Truly an interesting fellow; I pray that our allegiances will not hinder our meetings. Rosa - The Countess seems a nice lady. If only I had not made such a fool of myself at our first meeting.

Neat and tidy is the only way My room is a corner room, to use a general term, because it is more round than square. There are tall, narrow windows around part of it, and the floor is decorated with a rug with a compass-like design; some parts of the year, I think I could use sunlight and the rug to tell time, but that would mean moving a few bookshelves.
I have several bookshelves, most of them low and wide, with one tall one beside the door. My rug is oriented so that the longest point is pointed at the door, though I do not know if this is truly north; it matters little to me because direction is all relative anyway. If the door is north, my bed is almost due east, and the dresser sits across from it, at a sort of west-south-west.
The windows keep things bright enough during the day, but for early morning and night reading, I have lamps on nearly every flat surface available, to light as needed. I rarely light more than one or two at a time, but it is a comfort to have them all there; that way, should I need a light cast in any dark portion of my room, a lamp is already positioned to cast it.
The only other furniture in the room is my desk and its chair counterpart. I keep the center of the room empty as much as possible, though sometimes I will leave a stack of books there for a day or two. My walls are bare of tapestries because I rarely have my attention on anything but my reading while I am in my room. I might get something for the wall eventually, but I do not plan on it right now.
The most exciting thing to do in my room aside from sleeping or reading is cleaning. I keep a feather duster on hand for this purpose. It has no place of its own, but rather migrates about the room at my whim, whenever I need it to whisk away a speck of dust. My room is quite clean, and I rather like to keep it that way.

Books I enjoy Though much of what I read is nonfiction, and primarily history, I do enjoy some fiction from time to time. If I read something and find it particularly fascinating, I will give the title and author here, so that you can look into it too if you wish. Knowledge is only worth something when shared.
