First of all, I'm a Korean. My Playstation 2 was bought in Korea. Meaning, it can only play Korean Playstation 2 games. That, of coures, is where I first met up with Disgaea. I bought the game in Korea, but moved to Canada soon after, which is where I am now. That was 2 years ago. Meaning, I was screwed.

Not to worry, though. I still had Disgaea, which lasted me for one year. Then my cousin came over, and I made one of the biggest mistakes in my life. Out of something as pitiful as "family love" I gave it up to him. Gone. Forever.

Now, up until today, I've only gotten two new games, and that was last summer, when my relatives came to visit from Korea. My grandparents are visitng again this summer, so I thought I could ask them to get me Disgaea. So I checked up some Korean sites to see where one could be found. I also checked up on Disgaea 2, to see when it would be released in Korea. What I found did not please me, to say in the least.

The company translating and selling Nippon Ichi games in Korea didn't exist anymore. Meaning, not only was Disgaea going to be hard to find, Disgaea 2 would never be sold in Korea! Gasp!

Seriously, though. Why would they do that? Disgaea was one of the best selling Playstation 2 games in Korea if my memory serves me correct. Then boom, it's gone. Never again.

Life sucks.

Note: This is actually a fake rant, cause I had my Playstation 2 modified anyways. But still, I find it unfair that I can't get Disgaea 2 in Korean. I prefered the Korean translation of Disgaea over the American translation, and I think the same would have been true for Disgaea 2. Meh.

Remember that NIS isn't solely relying on Disgaea games to stay a float. That would be an impossible feat, to stay afloat on a single franchise. Maybe the other games didn't sell as good. There are many other reasons for the closing of the company. In other words, fairness isn't the issue here. Sorry to say it, but s**t happens, and there's always a reason behind it.
