(( This RP is open to any lion/ess who is friends with Amari, Maawio and Mbari. ))

The great lion felt his legs tremor as he stepped past the border that divided the freelands with the pridelands. His heart hammered and suddenly he felt very shy. What would his friends say now that he was back, especially after he'd made such a fuss about leaving.

He turned to gaze over his shoulder, smiling fondly at his mate. Oh how he loved her, how he worshipped her! She could be a goddess for all he knew but whether she was or she wasn't didn't matter. Amari was head over heels in love with her.

His eyes flickered then to his son and he smiled wider, hoping that he wouldn't let the poor juvenile down. He seemed quiet and shy and reminded him so much of his mother, though he could understand why. The two had become very close since his departure.

"Well this is it then." He said, his deep voice laced with a purr as he nuzzled protectively against Maawio and ran a tongue along her cheek in a tender lion kiss. "Time to go home and try again." He threw back his head and roared, hoping that his call would be recognised. "This time we'll do it properly, this time I'll go to King Mufusa and ask his permission to stay. It'll be official and I'll never leave you again. Never." He was determined to see his promise through this time.

The slender form of the lioness was a beautiful gold, a gold that matched the tones of the Pridelands but yet was so bright it could be seen for miles. Her son had a similar pelt, a few rusty coloured and red tattoos that were visible against the gold. He bore the same white stripe as his grandmother who he would never meet, and the same beautifully topaz eyes.

Maawio leaned close against Amari, accepting his kiss. Though she heard his words she didnt take them to mind. She was quick to trust, love and learn, but she didn't feel she could rely on his word just yet. However there was the one burning emotion that was present in the pit of her stomach. She was so deeply in love with him...

Mbari was a juvenile now, but still kept his chubby figure. He walked alongside his mother clumsily, gazing at his father every so often with an apprehensive look.

And it hurt Amari to see that look.

Yet what could he do but prove that he meant what he said? He loved them both and he wanted them to become a family once more, just as they had before he had gotten scared and became distant.

His paws moved noisily against the ground as he moved his massive form across the uneven ground. It seemed he too had never become a graceful beast. He was clumsy and large and extremely loud which made him hopeless at hunting. Yet if he wanted to help provide for his family he had to learn.

He tried to imagine himself asking Maawio to teach him and felt his face grow hot with embarassment. What would Mbari think if he knew his father couldn't hunt?! And yet learning something together might help bring them closer together...

He shook his shaggy mane and put on one of his most charming expressions, tipping his face down to gaze at his son. "Your mother taught you anything about hunting yet?"

Bakhti had been wandering, she was attempting to teach Mbali how to hunt though really she wasn't having much luck and the juvinille was well a rebel through and through.

Her thoughts had been reasonably depressing of late wondering where her Kiburi was but then she wondered sometimes if she would ever know. She was also close to giving up with her litter. Her youngest girl was a daddys girl, the other three never seemed to be around.

As her honey coloured body moved between the grasses, her white son by her side her bright blue eyes landed on the figure of her younger brother. It was a sight she hadn't expected to see again and in a matter of seconds she ran at him and pounced at him.

"AMARI!!!!!!" She beamed happily, a purr like rumble came from her throat. "Oh brother, I thought I would never see you again!"

Coming up behind was the white brother looking somewhat bothered by all the strange things his mother was doing. Since when did she act like a cub?

((hope you dont mind me jumping in...))

Maawio continued to walk, but from across the Pridelands she saw the familiar sandy form of a female. Gasping slightly her gaze widened. "Bakhti?" She stood in awe for a moment, she hadn't seen her for ages, and following her was a little ivory cub, bearing some of Mahiris chocolate markings.

In her heartache, how much had she missed?

Mbari squeaked and forgetting the tension between him and Amari, dived behind his fathers paws, his brown tufted tail only visable.

The bulky lion turned his head, eyes widening in surprise as he heard his name being yelled upon the wind. He had little time in which to prepare himself before he was being tackled. His great sienna form was bowled over and as he opened his eyes he looked up into his adoptive sister's face.

Wow. That had been quite a greeting.

"Bakhti..." He began with a little embarrasment. "Well...heh you know me, can never stay away from my beautiful ladies for long." He turned his head up to gaze at Maawio who seemed to be in some sort of shock and smiled.

He got to his paws once more and shook himself, pausing as he glanced down at his young golden son. A fond smile spread across his face and he lowered his head to give him a gentle lick between the ears. "Mbari, no need to be nervous, this is my sister, Bakhti." He also couldn't help but notice the young white and brown cub with Bakhti and tilted his head. "You've been busy again sis?" He laughed.

Bakhti chuckled as she gave Amari some space. "I am glad you are back... every so glad!" She turned to Maawio and smiled, "Next time, beat him up, or tell me, and I will beat him up instead of him going, you are adorable together!" She smiled happily, showing that the old girl could still be rather playful.

"Oh, Mbali come here will you!" She then turned back to the golden lioness and Amari. "Yes, well you know me, its all family stuff here!" She smiled and rolled her eyes as Mbali grudingly walked over to them. He forced a smile and sat down looking rather annoyed.

"Mbali, this is your uncle Amari, his mate Maawio and their little son!" She then lowered her voice just for Mbali, "So be nice mister." He gave her an innocent look back before his blue eyes rested on the other youngster.
