Hey! I've got an account over on Deviant Art and I just did a set of twelve Movie Maniacs emotes (the second set is well on it's way with two already 'in the can') and I wanted to show 'em off! I'll include an emote, the original link (for all you DA-ers out there who want to fave them or whatever) and the orignal description, starting next post! They're in the order that they were created, from earliest to latest, and each one comes with a long winded commmentary...just a warning x.x! My DA account http://bitemetechie.deviantart.com

Freddy KruegerOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33260084/ DescriptionWish I could make the bg transparent, really I do but I can't... Look closely, he's got his little red and green sweater, fedora and finger blades... I tried to give him a smile, you know that disturbing one that he has, just make him a smiley with a fedora, but that looked stupid and not at all like Freddy. It would be cool if I could animate him so he's like swiping at something, but again, I can't X.X Well, that entertained me for about six minutes...

BWAHA! Take a really close look, he's got his little shoulder holster for his sawed off shot gun, his chainsaw attached to a bloody stump, a look of sheer determination and the worlds most famous scar appears as it did in Army Of Darkness..BLOODY! Jason VoorheesOriginal Link-http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33315161/ DescriptionThe Only Jason Voorhees Quote Known To Man "......................." Yeah..it's Jason...yeah, there's supposed to be more holes in his mask but he looked like he had the chicken pox when I did that, so I went for something more simplistic. I'm not reeeeally a big Jason fan (DONT HURT ME!) I always like my villains (and heroes for that matter) charismatic and trash talkin' (Hence my undying love for people like Freddy, Ash and The Joker) so Jason never really sparked my interest. Yeah, the deaths in the Friday The Thirteenth Movies were creative, that part I DID like, but he never scared me. Actually...I have yet to find a horror movie that does. It's desensitization I tell you! Either way, I'm pretty happy with old Jason here... you can tell who it is without squinting, his mask is nice and simple and the machete looks about right. Yeah..I'm one happy emoticon artist right now.

ChuckyOriginal Link-http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33315161/ DescriptionAw...who wouldn't love a homicidal voodoo practicing maniac trapped inside an evil looking doll who can bite your shins and kill you with a toy hammer? My mom, for one...she can't STAND Chucky. I on the other hand, love him to bits. He was my first 'real' foray into the Horror genre (aside from those old picture books from those ancient universal monster movies which I read in first grade, in the school library and that one..well, that story comes with the next emote) the first series of horror movies I watched, so he holds an extra special place in my heart. This guy I knew way back when, (we were really, really good friends) was a Chucky fanatic. He could do the voice just perfectly and planned on changing his name to Charles Lee Ray when he turned eighteen. We shared a love of the horror genre that none of my other friends have ever come close to. You know...in retrospect, considering the fact he wanted to change his name to that of a serial killer, there's a good possiblity it was a good thing I lost contact with him. See..I kinda started to fall for him and..well..it's a long story. I won't bore you with the details of my early teenage romances. *ahem*Ok...focus back on the emote. I did pre-shredded/sewn-up Chucky cause as much as I enjoyed Bride Of Chucky (I adore Jennifer Tilly, she's like..Betty Boop, but psychotic!) I always loved his first incarnation best. Why? I have no idea...might have something to do with the battery scene...I LOVE the battery scene. Anyways, behold, it's Chucky, holding up his little plastic hammer, poised to strike (again, apparently, if that blood puddle is any indication), in his little blue and red shirt with overalls..and look isn't that cute? He's waving at- Oh..wait..he's giving you the finger.. Nevermind.

PennywiseOriginal Link- http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33374879/ Description'Down here, they ALL float, Georgie...' I present you with three facts. 1.)Tim Curry is scary. 2.)Clowns are scary. 3.)Tim Curry dressed as a clown, is absolutely terrifying. Don't get me wrong, I love Tim Curry, but no matter how many times I see 'Clue' or 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', on some level, I'm seeing him as I first did, as Pennywise the Clown. I was five or six, and staying at my neighbor Abby's house and her mom turned on the movie 'It'. See, she was one of those cool moms who let her little kid watch horror movies on network t.v. and my mom...well, let's just say that before that night, the scariest thing I had ever been permitted to see was 'Ernest Scared Stupid' (Ironic that I was allowed to watch that one, considering that's the only movie that's EVER given me nightmares, I still can't bear to watch it to this day!). I sat in Abby's living room, and just stared at the t.v. I watched with a sort of sick facination, disgusted, scared, amused and intrigued all at once. I liked this new genre of film that was being presented to me, and thus began the obsession with horror. From there on in, instead of borrowing movies like 'Bambi' and 'Snow White' from friends and family members, I begged to be allowed to watch 'Nightmare On Elm Street', 'Deadly Friend' and anything else that had a ghoulish picture on the cover. I didn't get to, of course, but the thirst was there. As soon as I could read, I started to spend alot of time in the horror section of the video store or library, reading the backs of video cases trying to imagine just what the film that case held would be like to watch. The fact that my growing interest in the genre went against my mother's grain only made it more appealing...I liked being able to mention a movie title that I wanted to see and watch her eyes get big as saucers. What can I say, I was a mean kid...that and she really needed to loosen up, which she has, over the years, not to the point where she'll watch horror movies with me (with the express exception of the Evil Dead series, mostly 'cause she loves Ash just as much as I do) but she understands the attraction to the genre now and leaves me to it. Alright..so if you're still reading this far down into the description, you deserve a cookie, cause this is probably the longest one I've ever written. On to more technical stuff, he's got his little balloon, the newspaper boat and stands as the only emote in the series thus far to get a background of some sort. It's a sewer grate with rainwater. He's also the only one who doesn't come with blood o.o!! I picked this scene, because it's my favorite in the movie, and in the book. If you've read the book and haven't seen the movie, go rent it, and if you've seen the movie, and haven't read the book, go read it.

Micheal MyersOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33374963/ DescriptionAnother faceless, speechless murderer...guh, will we ever run out of this type? Sorry, but I've never found anything mildly entertaining about Micheal Myers. I *tried* to sit through one of the Halloween movies a few years back, and gave it up as a lost cause. Everytime I was supposed to be scared by this guy, I kept being struck by the fact he's wearing a WILLIAM SHATNER mask. Remember, I'm a Trekkie first, all other things afterwards, so that took me out of the movie alot. It really does look like Shatner, so much so that it distracts me from the fact I'm supposed to be quivering with fear. Maybe they should have gone with the Nixon mask after all. Now Nixon, THERE was a scary guy. So...yeah...just a little white masked emote that carries it's butcher knife the way Myers carries his. Don't hit me cause he's not prettyful like the others, it was impossible to get a decent likeness at this small a scale.

PinheadOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33375059/ DescriptionOk...Pinhead. I never saw Hellraiser, 'cause I really don't have enough room in my heart for another charismatic, cruel, sadistic b*****d. That particular roster is full, plus everytime I go to the video store, the films are gone v.v; I did see a scene of it on t.v. once, I'm not sure which one though, that I thought was great. This guy holds up a cross to get rid of Pinhead and his buddies, and Pinhead says 'Thou shalt not worship a graven image' and like...kills him. That I liked....alot XD Don't kill me if the box isn't right, like I said, I've never seen the movies and have no referance pic. This is the second emote in the series to have a background, mostly 'cause 'ole pin cushion here wouldn't show up properly on a gray bg.

Evil AshOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33375119/ DescriptionOk, that's it, it's over, there's no way I can top this one. SQUEE! I love this best of all. Behold, it's Evil Ash from Army Of Darkness! Not exactly a horror movie, but I HAD to have him in this series. I mean, for cryin' out loud, I own an ACTION FIGURE of him!
WARNING, I AM ABOUT TO ACT LIKE THE FANGIRL I AM, READ 'THE ACTION FIGURE STORY' WITH CAUTION! You don't wanna hear it? Then don't read the stuff that's not in BOLDBest seven bucks I ever spent. Mint condition packaging..everything. I almost had a heart attack when I spotted him in the discount bin at Big Lots, a brand new McFarlane Movie Maniacs Series Four (Or was it five..I can't remember) for $6.99. Oh I took that baby home and set it up on my shelf intending wait, and watch until it's secondary market value skyrocketed. The best laid plans... I took it down from the shelf one day to look at it, and then it happened. It all started with his cape. His glorious, tattered, movie replica cape. I stared at it for the longest time, wondering if it was cloth or not, with McFarlane figures, you can never tell. It looked like cloth, and if it wasn't, it was the best detailing work I had ever laid eyes on. Were those chains on his cloak real metal? Or were they plastic? Little questions like that plauged me every hour of every day. So for three agonizing weeks, I walked past my shelf, looked at the cape, that glorious cape, and wondered, until I finally HAD to know. I wanted to touch it, cloth or pvc, I just had to. Another few days went by, trying to control myself, reminding myself that if I opened it, it would be virtually worthless on the secondary market, but I was suffering from new action figure fever and the only surefire cure was to tear open that box and touch that magnificent cape. Went to the kitchen, found the sharpest knife I could find, and carefully, gently, almost lovingly pulled back that plastic from the cardboard. Let me explain something to you, McFarlane action figures all have a certain smell when you first open them. All action figures have a smell when you first open them, but none is quite so heady as McFarlane. It's like a drug, I'm telling you. So I opened the package, got a nice big whiff of my freshly opened baby and carefully removed the blister pack, gently removing Evil Ash from his little custom made plastic cubby hole. I think I sat there on the floor of my bedroom for a solid twenty minutes, just touching it, looking at everything there was to see about it. He had shoelaces...SHOELACES DO YOU HEAR ME?! Treads on the bottom of his shoes, tears in his pants, the chains on his armor were real...I was in fangirl heaven. Do you have any idea how hard it must be to get that much detail into something that stands six inches high!? And the cape, the cape that I had wondered about for so long, turned out to be the softest, most beautifully sculpted, most supply piece of PVC I'd ever laid hands on. That thing, it's art of the highest kind, and that, my friends, is how I geek out over an action figure. The end. Ok, ok, so before I burst from excitement, here's the scoop on old Bad Ash. He's got his sword (action figure's got two, and he had two at one point in the movie, BUT he had to have a hand free), he's got the Necronomicon Ex Mortis (get an inch away from your compy monitor and you can see the little face on it's cover), his helmet, cloak clasp and cape. I'm so happy with this...I wouldn't change a thing about it. Nope, nope, nope!

WishmasterOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33417707/ DescriptionWishmaster is one of my favorite horror movie series of all time, cause it has three of the best things that ANY horror movie can have. 1.)Creative Death Scenes Who could forget the girl who wants to be young forever and is turned into a mannequin to achieve it? How about that piano string going for the jugular of it's own accord, eh? 2.)A Charismatic Villian The Djinn is equal parts Freddy Krueger smartass and Marquis de Sade sadism. I just think he's great, and oh that voice! *faints* 3.)WES CRAVEN MADE IT! Responsible for 'The Hills Have Eyes', 'Last House On The Left' and 'Nightmare On Elm Street' *is busy predending 'Scream' doesn't exist* the man is s genius, no ifs and or buts. I rest my case. PLUS!!! Robert Englund had a part in the first one *sigh* In fact, that's the reason I rented it in the first place

PsychoOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33418077/ DescriptionSPOILER WARNINGS!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN PSYCHO DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER!!! So...Psycho... This movie represents the reason why I hate remakes, and lemme tell you why. I spent years avoiding seeing it whenever it came on TV, I wanted to rent it, see it from the beginning and keep it spoiler free for myself. Made sure that none of my friends/relatives or ANYONE ever told me how it ended. I plan to go to the video store on friday to rent it, but on thursday I babysit so I'll have enough cash money to rent it. Late that night, after the kid is asleep, I'm flipping channels and come across what looks to be the ending of a made for t.v. horror movie, 'Cool' I think, 'Something to break up the monotony' 'Oh look at that, taxidermy, what fun!' Five minutes later- 'Wait...he's in his mother's clothes..wait..what..BATES MOTEL!? WHAT KIND OF SICK JOKE IS THIS!?' It's the ending to the mini series version of psycho...thus ruining the ending to the ORIGINAL for me. I was MAJORLY pissed. After that, I really didn't see much point in seeing the Hitchcock version (other than, of course, enjoying his personal style on the film). And that's why I bloody @%&*ing HATE remakes. Alright, the technical specs of the emote. It's little Normy in his mummy's clothes stalking the heroine of the flick in the shower! All you can see are their shadows, really which is...very Hitchcock of me, I'll admit.

Eric DravenOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33418228/ DescriptionYes, I know, 'The Crow' isn't a horror movie, BUT if McFarlane Action Figures saw fit to stick him in their movie maniacs collection, THEN I CAN TOO! It was an excellent movie (AND comic book, go to your local comic shop and see if they have a tattered copy they're willing to let you look at from behind plate glass) which was dark, violent and very, very well made. It's marred only by the fact that since Brandon Lee died during production, it has a few rather awful sequels. Not as bad as some of the sequel tripe that follows Batman around, to be sure, but still pretty bad. Well, what is there to say about this emote? He doesn't have any blood, or cool weapons or anything like that...so...Um...he has make-up on?

Lord Of DarknessOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33418496/ DescriptionMan, and I thought Hellboy had it bad in the horns department. With that rack, he must chug aleve like they're M&Ms. It's The Lord Of Darkness (NOT SATAN, YOU HEAR ME!) from the classic *scoff* film 'Legend' Oh, please don't take that scoff to mean that I didn't enjoy it, I really *like* that movie, I just hate Hate HATE Tom Cruise with every fiber of my being. And I hated him before it was cool to hate him. Yay me for being a trendsetter. Legend is another example that proves my theory that Tim Curry, is a scary, scary man. Yup, that's right, everyone's favorite Transvestite played this part. I swear, I think that both he and Ron Perlman have spent their entire careers behind twelve pounds of make-up. I mean, look at their resumes Curry was in Rocky Horror, Legend, It and Perlman did Hellboy, Star Trek Nemesis, Beauty and the Beast, and the list could go on (and on and on and on). I bet the make-up departments in every major studio send for them just to test out the new stuff they come up with since animal testing is frowned upon. Cheers to two of the hardest working men in show biz ladies and gentlemen, God knows they deserve it. Alright, commentary over, down to the nuts and bolts of this thing, he's got two accessories, if you don't include those *&%#ing MASSIVE horns. A unicorn horn (Oh yeah kids, no symbolic meaning THERE) and a sword...tada?

GhostfaceOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33923719/ DescriptionGhostface... Explain to me, what exactly is so scary about this guy? I mean, he wears a freakin' ROBE for Pete's sakes...I mean honestly. Even Krueger in that stupid christmas sweater is scarier. Don't get me wrong, it's an *OK* movie, but frankly, it was a waste of Wes Craven's talents. Scream 2 was a waste of...aw hell, who was in that one again? And Scream 3 was a waste of Jay and Silent Bob's talents... Bet you didn't know they were in that one, didja... Anyways, all film crituqing aside, this emote marks the beginning of the second wave of Horror Movie Maniacs I'm working on. It'll be another set of twelve (like the first one) and I'm still trying to figure out who all to put in this set...if you have any ideas, lemme know, ok?

The Toxic AvengerOriginal Linkhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33972466/ DescriptionIt's the Toxic Avenger! Look at him, isn't Toxie cute? With his little mop, a puddle of toxic goo and uneven eyeballs (yes, they're supposed to be uneven that way o.o) You have no idea just how hard it was to get the color of his skin just so. In almost every reference pic I found, it was a different color.sometimes it was greenish, sometimes it was brownish...I just went with what looked best. Bet you're wondering why I put one of the most obscure Horror movie icons in this emote set, aren't cha? When I could have put something like an homage to Blair Witch, or I Know What You Did Last Summer, why the bloody fzuck would I make an emote of this guy? Because Toxie deserves it. The people at Troma Films deserve it. Lloyd Kaufman deserves it. Why do they deserve it? Because they fight the good fight, take on the worst odds and the worst scripts, survive the worst possible obstacles and win anyway. They're determined, they're loyal and they make crappy (and I say that in the most loving way possible) movies for a living. The people at Troma are an inspiration. They keep going no matter how many times people tell them they can't, because they want to keep doing what they love doing and for their rabidly loyal fans. They've totally given the finger to the establishment and I respect that alot. Consider this a little bit of recognition for the people who NEVER seem to get recognition. I just read 'Make Your Own Damn Movie' by Lloyd Kaufman and it's the most realistic, inspiring piece on film making I've EVER come across. Considering that it outranks 'If Chins Could Kill' by Bruce Campbell, you better believe it's a kick a** book... I've been reading tons of books on indy filmmaking lately, and none of them paint quite so *real* a picture as MYODM. It's scary, and inspiring all at once..go get it at your local library (if you don't mind really coarse language, that is) and read it. Even if you don't want to become a film maker, it will open your eyes to just how much these people go through to make their art. Rock on Troma...the underdog of B-Movie cinema, you guys are the best. On a totally unrelated note, Lloyd, may I please bear your child? What...I'm KIDDING!
