i'm getting into a genre more popular among scene kids than metalheads, it's called Deathcore. simply, it's just a combination of Death Metal and Hardcore. some good examples of Deathcore are Arsis, The Faceless, and As Blood Runs Black. Animosity is a little Deathcore, but they swing more towards scene kid Grindcore.

I like a variety. Basically if the band has something special for me, I get into it. I like Amon Amarth, Death, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, and Guilty Gear XX music. Daisuke Ishiwatari can make any kind of metal sound cool. In the instance of Death, I like the dramatic guitar solos. Amon Amarth has those sweet endless two part harmonies and Norse mythology lyrics. Blind Guardian has my number with songs that are just freakin' fun to sing. Rhapsody kicks my a** with all of it's ridiculously impressive orchestration.

Power Metal. Rhapsody, Dragonforce, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, and Symphony X are some of my favorite bands. And even though it isnt power metal, FINNTROLL KICKS a**!
