im not sure, most of the interpretations ive come across have been like this:

geek: the computers and stuff, you know, bill gates.

nerd: into DnD, monty python, middle ages recreationals... that sort of thing, though the way it happens, most nerds are geeks as well...

myself, im a nerd whee though you wouldnt tell if you saw me...

Politically speaking... the groups tend to be ignored when it comes to politics. Nobody really associates politics with them at all.

As for me, I'm an evil debater philosophical communist freak and crazy liberal, if anything.

I am learning computer code and web site design. So, I suppose I could be called a geek... I am rarely am listioned to on a political scale. my grandfather thinks I am a basicly a communist symp and my grandmother just nods her head when I talk. My aunt is the only one who agrees with me and that is because I broke it down into techno jargon and she is a trekie and noticed the simularity between communism and the federation from star trek. sweatdrop

I wish my lawn was emo,
so it could cut itself

sad oh well...

I'm labelled as "ghetto"
I guess that's what I get for buying clothes at RoSS and Rangers Surplus,
But some people who really know me label me as a History or a Engineering nerd

I've been called several times by several people a hippie. I pretty much am a typical hippie, except for the LSD.

Emos and goths seem to be prretty left wing. The stereotypes are however, musically oriented rather than political.

no, i mean the class character of their sub-cultures, i mean both of the subcultures i mentioned there are mostly labour-aristocracy types or petty bourgeois.

or anyway thats what i see. as to most emo's being left, its weird, because all of the ones i know are REALLY christian... i dont know why...

as for goths, most of the ones i know are mostly right wing.

I've never associated "goths" as being right wing. That seems odd to me, considering that I generally fall into the "goth" category. And anyway, why are we classifying them collectively? The terms are social labels and mean nothing beyond the way people dress. They come nowhere near what anyone's political views are. This is an odd thread.

due to the fact that they are social lables, which you yourself just highlighted, they are based on how society see's them. and why does society see them in such a way? because the most visible examples of said sub-cultures are that way.

now, instead of giving your pathetic idealist-subjectivist crap, could you answer the question.
