About Lavena...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

User Image
Name: Lavena
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Rank: Currently lone (hopefully that will change soon)
Personality: Basically to sum this wolf all up in a few words it would be joyous, witty and clever. Often she appears kind, knowing her rank, although she is known to step out of the lines when no one is looking. She loves pups, it is her one soft spot, and often she will take on the mother role, and over time has become rather good at it.
Appearance: She starts off with a basic grey husky pattern, quite common for wolfs. However what is not common is how her tail and her ears dip into a near black. She contains sapphire shaded orbs, brightly shining against her more natural greyscaled hide. Her nose and her padding on her feet is black, while her claws are silver.
Mate: None (possibly Akamu)
Friends & those she had met: Flora, Istas, Whisper, Ikkume, Kamali, Dagda, Akamu.
Enemies: None

About Bastet...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

User Image
Name: Bastet
Age: Pup
Gender: Male
Rank: Adolescence
Personality: Bastet?s Mau stripes extend far further then the silver fur that outlines this pup. His mind is much like a cat, which is the cat-like cunningness that may be envied by all. Other then being extremely bright this Mau pup seems to consider him, and his beloved then center of the universe. Despite this he is very attention seeking, and will approached nearly anyone.
Appearance: Silver beyond the furthest reaches of ebony clawed mountains; wrap their stony grasp around this creature. Bits of the whitest snow rippling across a furred stomach, climbing to the heights of gooseberry eyes. A nose taken from the midst of a sandy sunset enlightens a slightly feline smile, and a pink that could make roses curl up in shame, cover two large ears. Patterns and stripes of volcanic rocks splatter themselves across this creature, and a bracelet said to be made from the Egyptians themselves curls around a right paw, leaving a midnight dipped tail as a finishing touch.
Other: Being a rather felinish wolf does not lead to him being teased, in fact most wolves envy his him for his feline abilities which include: Feline grace and balance, superb jumping, and for whatever reason always landing on his feet.
Mate: None (Although he is obsessed with Whisper and will probably end up mauled by Kouji X3 )
Friends & those she had met: Fute, Whisper.
Enemies: None

Critters...

Valino
Never will you hear a complaint from Valino. In fact you would be extremely lucky just to hear a single word from this strong yet silent creature. Little if not none humour resides in this stag, and often he will question the sensibility of any that gives off even the slightest grin. His thoughts are average, although for a deer quite impressive.

Kalwa
Kalwa is one of those act first, think about the consequences later. She is strong and bulky, and not one to bother. She is a rather grumpy by nature creature, and even if you?re one of those amazingly easy to get along with people, she will still probably slice your head off. Never-the-less if some how you become friends with her, it is greatly to your advantage.
.
.
.
.

Oskari

Think of Oskari as a teenage girl; always chatting and full of gossip. He is quite easy to become friends with, and even easier to be betrayed by him. Often you will see him hanging out in the trees with perhaps another raven. When you do see his glittering black and silver feathers, be mindful of what you are doing. For you are being watched.

Love at first sniff? XD
Lavena and Akamu

User Image

Shinzick of Teh
((*crawls back*))

Lavena sighed shallowly as she cantered beside a stream. Her mind seemed like the glittering water, free and careless. There hadn?t been a cloud in site all day, and the earth smelt of mist. Giving a very canine grin, the grey wolf shortened her pace until she was a near stop. Trout sparked as they leaped in the distance, her sapphire blue eyes watching with contentment as they dipped like litter showers of rainbows. With a canine grin she waded her paws in the water, allowing a pink tongue to brush the stream.

Jestari
It truely was a wonderful day.

There was very little on Akamu''s mind as he lay there, belly against the grass that bordered the stream not too far from where Lavena had paused. Perhaps he had not scented the female yet because the air was so still- and perhaps it was the same for her. Perhaps they hadn''t seen each other because they were both wrapped up in their own thoughts. Either way, the earth-toned male was having a very good time simply existing. The nightmares had not visited him the night before, and the mist-soaked ground seemed to calm him.

He watched the trout glittering further downstream lazily with half lidded eyes, before the small sounds Lavena was making finally attracted his attention. Turning an ear towards the female, his eyes followed until they rested on her. Blinking ice blue in mild surprise at the unexpected company, Akamu raised his head curiously.

"Hello?"

Shinzick of Teh
Her dipped ear twitched as she heard the greeting, azure orbs following the sound until they met upon the wolf. Her canine grin grew slightly as she lifted her head. ?Greetings to you too stranger,? she held eyes inspecting the earth colored creature. Her mood appeared quite high, her tail slightly wagging in pure delight. ?You?re the first wolf I?ve seen for quite a long time?I?m assuming your alone?? She peered behind him, quickly scanning the place. For it was near that season, and a lot of males were being rather protective of their loved ones.

Jestari
"Greetings to you as well." Admittedly, Akamu wondered briefly at the more formal sounding greeting fromt he female. Most of the wolves he had met- even strangers- had been highly familiar in their greetings, or in the case of one particular wolf, somewhat rude.

It was a nice change.

It seemed that the male''s mood was influenced a little by Lavena''s own high spirits, and Akamu returned her smile with a small canid smile of his own, pulling himself into a standing position. He lowered an ear in curiosity when she asked about his company... or lack thereof.

"Yes, I am alone.. You are as well, I assume?" Alas, though he knew that the season was closing in, the implied meaning of her question- that of asking after a possible special someone- was completely lost on him. "My name is Akamu. May I ask after yours...?"

After all, it was always good to know the names of who you met. It might serve you in good stead, later.

Quote:
Lavena was almost as pleasantly surprised as he was, her snow white mussel continued to gleam warmly, and if anything it slightly grew. Being quite accustom to only pups, it felt quite nice to be addressed quite formally. Even if she did love the pups, it was growing upon that season. She nodded once although keeping a proper stance, eyes glittering in the slight possibility.

?Yes, I am alone,? she said out loud to reinforce this. ?You are the first adult wolf I?ve seen for quite some time.? Expecting to stay for some time, or at lease a little chat, Lavena moved towards a patch of weeds and sat quietly. The name Akamu sounded vaguely familiar, however not being able to put a face nor a setting to it, it was quickly dropped.

?Lavena,? her words were soft, and rested, although it was obvious anyone would be quite accustom to his or hers name. ?Assuming by your name, you?re not from around here.

Jestari
Not wishing to be rude by remaining standing as if he intended to leave soon- which he didn''t- and honestly too relaxed to maintain it unless he was travelling, Akamu settled back onto his haunches as well, his tail lying carelessly to the side.

He chuckled quietly at Lavena''s comment, remembering his closest friends, two adolescent wolves he had met as pups, one of which had adopted him as a father quite unexpectedly. The flattered Akamu had not argued.

"Your name is lovely," He complimented her, the manners he imposed upon himself surfacing again, though the compliment was far from required. He really did think it a pretty name. "And no, I am not from here. My pack and I were seperated some distance away, and I have wandered since." And only recently had he found his brother, for which he was grateful. Any family, anything that gave Akamu someone other than himself to focus on was good for him- he was far from the sort of wolf that liked to be on his own if he could help it.

"I must share your sentiments though.. I have not met many fully grown wolves during my stay in this area. I am curious, though.. are you from here?" Akamu''s habit of not condensing his words with slang was quite apparent by this time. His voice was mellow though, and seemed to fit nicely with the habit.

Shinzick of Teh
She thanked him with a nod, gleaming to herself or at lease until she heard his past. The grey wolf did know what it was like to loose somebody or rather in both of their cases in a plural amount. She sighed although it did not near justify her feelings, as she lowered her head trying to ignore the thought of those she had once loved.

?Close...? Lavena admitted looking up; her eyes displayed a sparkling azure of false unaffected by the past. Although it was quick to pass. ?Close enough. My pack?my old pace used to live just up those hills. I?ve heard however a new pack has settled in, and then again they were the excited words of a pup/? A slight warmth entered her heart as she mentioned the age.

Jestari
((*has ninjaed off and read Lavena''s journal* ninja heart ))

Although he did not ... exactly... share the remorse Lavena showed when he spoke of his pack, he did, however, respond to her muffled show of remorse by lowering his ears to his skull briefly. He had not witnessed his packmate''s deaths, and so still held out the hope that they yet lived... somewhere. That he could not find them was an unavoidable pin of regret in his mind, though, and he had not stopped looking where he could for them, even though he had agreed to join the pack of his brother.

They used to live there? Where then, did they live now? Ah, but that would be a rude question to ask as yet, he thought. Later, then. Besides, given the fact that Lavena was alone, and speaking of her pack in the former tense... assumptions could be made. He shifted a little and lowered his ears again, uncomfortable with the thought of death on so large a scale.

Akamu tilted his head a slight degree- a habit he''d retained from puppyhood- when he thought he saw something strange in Lavena''s eyes... but no, it must have been his imagination.

"Ah, but a pup will most often tell the truth, unless they are very clever and very unhappy." He was moved to smile once more, his puppy friends- now grown a little- coming to his mind again. He truely was fond of them. "At least, that is what the puppies I have met proved."

Quote:
(( Oh noes! *hides it*

>.>
<.<;;;; ))

?Very true,? the husky colored wolf admitted, set on ignoring the past. It had seemed the subject had lifted her moods up to its usual standard. She seemed quite amused at his trust in pup, although not humorously, more in an odd sort of respect and admiration. It was not every day she saw an adult wolf, and this was the first time she had met one with the same understanding for them as she did.

?So you?re a puppies man?? Lavena asked, her rather goofy smile showed she was kidding. For she was a puppies girl.

((gah, sorry it?s so short *is cut off by supper* ))

Shinzick of Teh
((*takes out shiney men in black flashy mind eraser thingie* Bwah! >D *le poof*

Hmm... *steals watch* cool *le poof again* ))

“Yes I do have to admit, that is my favourite part about this side of the woods,” Lavena caught herself giggling as well. “Do you mind if I come over to your side?” She asked, the river wasn’t very wide, and quite easily crossable. The grey wolf was planning to cross anyways further upstream, and was feeling extremely rude, stretching her voice to cover the distance.

Akamu seemed rather pleasing different from the other males Lavena had met, even out of all the pups, he seemed the most alike…and a ‘puppy-man’? What a pleasant surprise!

(( *le poof* Bwahaahaahaa ninja ))

Jestari
(( ninja *throws glitter at the shiney men and dashes away* Bwahahahaha... ninja ))

"No, I do not mind if you come over to my side, Lavena." Still with a smile on his face- remnants of the laugh from before- Akamu stood again, backing up a pace or two just in case Lavena needed the room, before sitting again. It would certainly be easier to speak with this interesting female without having to raise his voice to make sure that she heard him.

Apparently she wished to have a longer talk with him than the river would allow- as it would wear on the voice, eventually. That, or she had had enough of stretching her voice, as he was beginning to. Either way, it would be a pleasant change to speak with her normally.

A part of his mind was still caught on the phrases Lavena''d used.. "puppies girl" and "puppies man." Akamu supposed that the phrases fit well enough, but it was still something he had not heard before. Thinking of it still provoked a small smile out of him.

Shinzick of Teh
((Noes! >.>;;;; *sprinkles miracle grow on them and waits* ))

Lavena beamed to herself, quite proud she could bring joy into another?s life, even if it was only momentarily. She scanned the waterfront for a minute, deciding which way to go before dipping her snowy feet into the cool yet refreshing river.

The crossing was quick, although it left her damp. She grinned at Akamu kindly, before stepping away and shaking herself off. She returned, staring kind-heartedly at the earth-toned wolf before sitting, her coat still dangling with the odd sprinkling bead. She contemplated on her next words, unsure on how the other wolf would react.

?I was thinking,? she finally announced, her tail slightly shifting in a nervous movement. ?The young wolves that live around here, most are starving. I try to do my best to help, however I can only feed one or two. Would you like to help me fish for them???

Jestari
(( XD;;; Sorry this took so long. ))

Akamu tilted his head to the side a little, in a somewhat puppyish gesture of curiosity. Why was Lavena acting nervous? Of course he would help! Puppies had always held priority for the dusty coated wolf, and he would never turn down the opportunity to help them out if it was possible. Going to join Hige''s pack might have posed a small problem, but Akamu had already planned on making frequent trips to the freelands

"I am honored that you decided to ask me- and of course. I will help to the best of my ability." Akamu gave her another smile and a small wag of his tail against the grass, reinforcing his words.

Shinzick of Teh
((No problem,

Um just a warning that I''ll be gone starting Sunday for six days ._. ))

Lavena’s face beamed in delight, oh how wonderful and kind this wolf was, and to help the puppies? Her heard skipped a beat in pure pleasure. “Most of the youngest ones are found downstream,” Her narrow mussel shifted to look at the wide expanse. “There is a school of larger fish found feeding this time of year, and they like to try there luck. However the largest fish I’ve seen one of them walk out with was a minnow.”

The husky shaded wolf sided to her feet, waiting for the male to do the same. “I can usually pick out a couple fairly good sized ones for them, and after try my luck at the rabbits for myself…and maybe another pup if they are interested,” her artic orbs glanced at him. “Have you ever tried rabbit from this side of the woods? It’s simply delicious…although the pups do prefer the fish. Quite honestly I do think they enjoy playing with them much more then eating them.”

Jestari
(( D: Well, have a good time wherever your going. >< ))

Akamu''s smile grew a fraction wider. He felt extremely proud to have made Lavena so obviously happy. She was unlike any wolf he had yet met in the freelands- or even in his old pack, save for one old female that had considered everyone her grandchild. An odd warmth seeped into his bones, but he paid no mind to it. He would mull over it later, when he was alone.

The dusty male heaved himself into a standing position as well, shaking himself a little to rid his underside of the remainder of the dew he had laid on earlier. Glancing downstream, Akamu eyed the river. A small chuckle eminated from him at the mention of the puppies attempts at hunting fish.

"I would think that you are right. It is a puppy''s foremost job to play, before they must grow up and survive." He glanced toward her with a nod. "I have tasted the rabbit here, and I agree- It is better fare than in other places in the freelands. I prefer them to the fish, but the scaled prey is not bad tasting."

Shinzick of Teh
((Thanks, I might find a computer or two...

Were driving down to Idaho with my cousins *dies* ))

She briefly closed her eyes, allowing the wind to swirl in her still slightly damp silver fur. As she turned back the wolf couldn't help to share the glowing warmth inside her heart. Knowing it was not a far distance, she decided walking would be a rather comfortable speed. If Akamu wished to take it slightly faster, she wouldn't object. Slowly the grey creature set a pace, making room so that the other wolf could easily walk beside her.

"I could only wish that for every pup," she stumbled upon a few memories of rather furious young ones, and even some teens. "The forest would be so much kinder..." Her words trailed off, wondering if they had had a proper childhood, would they had turned out differently. "No pup deserves to be packless."

Jestari
(( Eee. o.o *pets* ))

Akamu trotted the short distance needed to move himself so that he could walk beside Lavena, then slowed his pace to match hers. The wolf sobered at her words, his ears setting back slightly. He had not yet had to deal with pups or adolescents who were angry about their packless status- rather, the one's he'd met had often already formed their own adoptive families. But that didn't rule out the fact that those frustrated and angry younglings did exist...

Even the pups that had formed impromptu families were still looking for their former relatives, or trying to join packs on their own. None of them had been content to remain alone.

"No, they do not." He sighed briefly. "Would that I could prevent such a thing from coming to pass, though it is all too common it seems."

Shinzick of Teh
(( *assumes the puppes will be NPC's* or I could bring in Bastet, both work for me. 3nodding ))

Lavena sighed, lowering her head in slight pity for the poor souls. A slight nod singled an agreement as she tried conjured a more lightening thought. ?Every wolf has his destiny I guess,? her mussel bore a slight smile as she attempted to brighten up the mood. ?The puppies are coming up soon, we mustn?t drown out there spirit.? She nuzzled him friendly.

The remains of grief and pain were drained out of her as she saw a distant figure shift. ?That must be one of them,? her voice expressing a sudden joy. She?d forgotten just how much she loved the little bundles of fur.

Jestari
(( Whichever you wanna do is fine. x3 ))

He nodded briefly. Destinies oftentimes cared little for what they did to the wolves who possessed them, whether it was a good thing or not.

Catching her attempt to brighten the mood at least a little bit, Akamu summoned a somewhat less serious face, a small smile quirking the edges of his mouth, and responded to her nuzzle with a gentle, friendly nudge of his own muzzle. "Agreed. Pups do not need to bother themselves with our solomnity."

At her joy upon seeing the small figure ahead, Akamu's smile grew a fraction. "Perhaps we should speed our pace then, to reach the youngling sooner?"

Shinzick of Teh
((I think I?ll go NPC then ^-^ As long as you don?t mind =D ))

?Sure, I don?t mind,? the husky colored creature grinned, her feet easily stepping into a nice speeded trot. Her eyes continued to glance at the moving figure until the morning light dawned, showing an assortment of midnight blues. ?I think that?s Orioas, although I could be wrong. He has a few similar siblings and you can never tell until you?re two feet away from them.? Her full crescent grin continued to show her love for the little creatures.

As she shifted closer upon the shape she noticed three others, about the same colors. Her heart leaped only to sink, as she wondered what could of happened to leave them stranded.

Jestari
(( I don't. x3 ))

Slipping into an easy energy saving, but ground eating trot, Akamu kept one ear focussed to the side, to catch Lavena's words while he watched the figures ahead of them. It seemed that the female knew many of the pups in this area by name- and of course, that was only natural. Briefly, Akamu wondered why he'd thought she wouldn't, when she apparently fed them all, or as many as she could, frequently.

But, that was a thought for later.

The earthy wolf's mood lifted again at the sight of the other pups surrounding the first they'd seen. "Ah.. It is good that a group of them have banded together. They stand a much better chance of survival that way- and it makes it much easier to find." He glanced to the female beside him, noticing her fractional downshift in mood, and attempted to lighten it again with his shoddy joke. Really, it was a surprise that Akamu knew any at all- he was normally such a reserved wolf. Perhaps Lavena just brought out the more cheerful side of him. He did wonder what had happened to their families, but it was important now that they be fed first, and looked after.

Either way, they would soon come upon the younglings.

Shinzick of Teh
Lavena grinned widely at his joke, forcing to keep bubbles of laughter in, although she nodded to his first words. Knowing Orioas, it would be an interesting meeting. For there was never a dull moment with him and his ‘clan’. “They’ve spotted us.” She whispered although it ended up being a giggle as they came closer. She prepared for the worse, as from past knowledge this pup had no concept of reality. Not that any pup would of course…just with lacking the wide span of imagination the little pup held.

“Stop and bow to your king!” Orioas bellowed, his midnight blue fur gleaming with water droplets. “Bow or I’ll send my army of alligators,”- The three other wolves began to resemble the creatures, although one seemed to be lost in hysterics-“and…and…er…rocks! Big ones with sharp pointy teeth…and eat two leggers!” He waved his paws to enforce this.

“Good morning to you too Orioas,” Lavena managed to hold down her own laughter, walking over and nuzzling the small creature. “I see you’re hungry.”

(( XD you have to love NPC's ))

Jestari
(( XDD *in love with Orioas* ))

He responded to Lavena's 'warning' with a mere flick of an ear and slight widening of his grin. It was all too much like the two adults were prey to the pup's predators. When the younglings finally approached, Akamu managed to hold back his laughter to a mere snort, smiling wider than he had before. This was certainly a lively pup! But, he might as well play along, if only to amuse him and his friends.

Still chuckling softly, the earthy wolf made a mock bow and lowered his head a short distance. He did not break eye contact with the young wolf though, if only to remind him that Akamu was not truely submitting to him. Sometimes the young wanted to interpret play as reality, after all.

"It is an honor to meet such a widely renowned king," He grinned, laughing softly again- too softly for many to hear. "My name is Akamu."

Quote:
(( *plops back* ))

The azure pup acted with a certain surprise look at the male. ?Ahh?yes I am your king?err?? he paused, unsure of what to do. He?d tried that greeting with a variety of other creatures?most of them being his prey, and skittering off at the mere sound of his voice. His siblings seemed just as startled at such a move, however said nothing. Their small round eyes now peering at the earth shaded male, with an assortment of curiosity and joy.

?Lavena?? Orioas whispered harshly as he found his way beside her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. ?What do you call a peasant that could easily chomp you in one bite?? His words twittered in a slight motion of hidden fear. He then turned back to look at Akamu.

?Akamu won?t bite,? Lavena responded strongly, she too carried a glint of trouble. ?Only if you make him angry.? She winked at him, indicating she was simply kidding.

Jestari
Well, he'd certainly made an impression, to say the least. Akamu chuckled lightly to himself.

"She speaks the truth. I will not bite... And you will find it hard enough to anger me to that point." This was altogether very true. For as long as he'd been in the freelands, and even before, Akamu had been a very hard wolf to ruffle to the point of anger. Fighting itself was harder still to convince him to take part in. The wolf acknowledged Lavena's wink with a brief wag of his tail, ice blue gaze flickering to her before focusing on the pup again. ^^

"I think that calling me Akamu would do well enough, Orioas." He widened his smile a small fraction, having overheard the stage whisper the pup had used to ask Lavena his question. Already, the earth toned wolf was beginning to slip into the habitual paternal behavior he adopted when it concerned pups, letting go of a good deal of his playful submission from earlier
