Yup, I'm trying to get this non-gamer girl into video games. And no, I'm not trying to ruin her life as many have told me. sweatdrop
Anyway, I have these systems to choose from.
PS2 Cube DS DreamCast SNES NES Saturn PC GBA:SP N64
My very first game that came to mind was Nintendogs. She has a few animals and I could always let her borrow my DS for a while to play it. Although, it would also be helpful if you guys recommended some games too.

Katamari Damacy, perhaps? It's fun, it's quirky, and the main character's father wears tight purple tights which reveal his galactic manhood.

I might actually say NES. With the Original Mario Bros. and Duckhunt game. That's what I started with, so many years ago. Edit: Although New Super Mario Bros. might be a better idea if you were going in that direction
Super Mario World for the SNES would also be a good choice.
EditII: Once you get past the basics though, move right on to the PSX/PS2. Good quality games with great variety.

Give her a handheld. Most of the games are easy and simple. After that, move to the N64, Playstation or Gamecube.
I can't really suggest any games until I know what the final verdict is on the console.

my Wife says that the first game that got her into gaming was Zelda
given your access to NES, SNES< and N64 I would recomend the original legend of zelda, link to the past, and ocarina of time

I say Halo. Yep I am a girl and HALO IS THE BAETS!!!.12k3212 Ok no just kidding. No complicated games. Thats basicly what a girl prefers if she wants to get at gaming at first. Try a super mario bros game or kirby (kirby superstar might be fun).

I say Kingdom Hearts. It's simple, with characters that most people can recognize, and a storyline that is both easy to follow and engaging...
Please don't shoot me. sweatdrop
