Because Dj has his best ending thingy, I'm going to put this in.

So there's a poll and I'll describe the scenes I think were really sad and then add more!

Phantasia~ The scene with Arche's mother in the elven village. She didn't die, but it was hinted at so badly she was going to I felt really bad for her and Arche. Of course then there's also Phantasia's ending....

Destiny~ Leon's death. I don't think I need to say anymore than that.

Eternia~ Race's death. You only got to use him once, and then he shows up again to not be an a*****e he ends up dying. That was sort of lame, but also really sad.

Destiny 2~ Judas' good-bye to Chaltier. With the whole "Leon~Fate Repeated" in the background made you want to cry sort of. Then there's also Harold's brother's death... She can really scream, O_O

Symphonia~ Zelos' past.

Rebirth~ I haven't played it, but from some videos I saw here's where I see sad scenes: Hilda's revealment and the final fight with Milhaust.

Abyss~ Asch's death. Anime cutscene, 3 swords sticking through your body, sad version of "Karma" (promise) playing in the background. His face goes to white. Runner up for me is then Largo's death. I'm sorry we killed him Natalia.

Zelos' death, just like DJ said.

The only time I actually sniffled a bit in a Tales game. (Well, I'm always disappointed when they end. biggrin ) It was really sad, and one of the best death-sequences in a game that I've played.

Sorry, I didn't really feel that bad for Leon/Lion. I mean, he was only with you for half of the game; Zelos was with you for like 3/4 of it. That, and the Destiny sprites were a little stale...

Symphonia has the saddest scenes and one of them is when Raine/Refill and Genis/Genius finally see their mother for the first time and how they their life was.

I nearly cried at Largo's death, and then let loose a few tears at Asch's.

I didn't really give a crap about Lou in that one scene because it didn't make any sense. "Hey brother, let's go do stuff..." "Okay, I'll completely ignore the fact that you look 10 years older than you should look."

At least Kyle got turned into a kid for his, Nanaly's didn't tear jerk me at all. Just made me want to go, "HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT SEE THAT THIS IS AN ILLUSION?!"

Judas' was awesome though, and a bit sad... Elraine is a real b***h. Judas should have just jumped up and sliced her throat out.

XD This'll probably sound kinda bad, but the expression on Harold's face in the part with her brother made me laugh.

And the part with Nanaly's dream world thing made me cry. ;_;

The scenes with Virginia didn't strike me as sad so much as downright creepy. o.O

personally, I think the whole legendia game was a tear jerker. There was just so much sad stuff that happened. I actually cried when Stella died. I'm too much of a softy. crying
