Yeah, I couldn't resist. I didn't see it, and I was wondering how many other people really liked this character... So I made the thread. I check every day, so feel free to post any time.
Anyways... Being a Pagan, myself, I actually believe in the Greek Pantheon (I think the shows got me interested in the Mythology in the first place, but the descision to go Pagan came long after the show ended), so I think it would be only fair you tell you what the real Eros is like... You can click here to read about him.
So... You can talk about Karl Urban in general, here... Or the other characters he played:
Mael, Kor, and Ceaser... (I think there might be others... I'd have to look it up.)
Or you can just talk about Eros. It doesn't matter.

Karl was his best as Caeser.
Eros was a boring character, IMO.

Caeser was a jackass but he was interesting.
The person Xena became anytime he was mentioned was very fun to watch.
She was so in control but when he was involved she came close to losing it every time.

He did a great job at ceaser, though he was a jerk, that was ceaser. I liked him a Eros as well though. He played more episodes as ceaser, dont really remember to many with him as Eros.

funny, here in the USA on/in the episodes he was always referred to/called Cupid, not Eros

Technically, Eros and Cupid are the same, just the Greek name versus the Roman one.

It wasn't that uncommon for the writers to refer to certain gods by their Roman names. Such as Eros/Cupid and Dionysus/Baccus. I think they just used the name they felt most viewers would recognize.
Now then, as for which character was better, tough call. The role of Caeser really served to show what a great actor he is. However, I always found him much more attractive when he played Cupid. redface

I only remember one ep with him as Cupid on Xena and that was the Comedy of Eros. I love that ep. I hated Caesar. I wanted him killed then brought back to life only to be killed again. Though Karl is a awsome actor. He looked smexy as Cupid though... Anyways I thought in the ep. Karl's character was Cupid and the baby was named Eros.

Something about a bloke with wings wearing leather really appealed to me. Like a bad-arse angel. The character was pretty dull in Xena, but he was sure nice to look at.
