A light breeze whisped through the boughs overhead and gently caressed the fiery wolfs tapeered and jagged hair, swaying it and whisping it about in a gentle manner as he stiff-leggedly padded through the forest. Tasubaa grew restless; he never did favor the early hours of morning as, truth be told, he was a nightstalker and one who roamed about within the shrouding shadows. Yet the reoccuring recollections of his encounters with the mysterious she-wolf still haunted his every train of thought, stirring his heart in wallowing pain and remorse.

Why had she run away from him, what had he done to her?

Did she think he was...a heartless monster?

"Perhaps I will never see her again," he whispered softly as he perused through the forest, his right eye scanning about for anything decent enough to consume or pillage. "The eyes are decieving to ones true nature," he mused as his muzzle wrinkled in a deviating thought.

Erupting from the silence, his stomach solaced and rumbled with a moaning cry; it was time to eat. But when exactly was the last time he had eatten anything? He couldn't remember. Padding through the woods as his paws brushed over fallen leaves and the anklets upon his paws jostled lightly with each careful step, Tasubaa's pierced, metal ridden ears flickered. As a scent wafted upon a passing breeze, his tail perked upwards.

He was not alone.

Tilting his head slightly, the fiery hued wolf began to disembark upon a new path as the scent of another wolf began guiding him towards an unknown destination. But who or what did this newcomber want? Was this new wolf friend or foe? Tasubaa didn't know but he certainly wanted to find out. Whether it would be a benign or another eruption of a bloodbath episode, the young beta wanted to take a chance.

Striding through burly bushes and tattered shrubs, Tasubaa's right eye narrowed to where the mysterious individual stood in a rather relaxed and proud manner. The darkness and shadows that were casted from above held the other males identity hostage leaving Tasubaa unable to decifer whom stood before him.

Should he wait? Or proceed forwards?

Gritting his teeth as he was faced with two decisions, a sly grin crept upon his maw. "Let's see what he'll do," he mumbled with a hoarse whisper as he sunk onto his stomach and awaited the wolfs next move.

Within the shadows, Tasubaa sat and fidgeted as a bland anticipation began boiling in his blood. He tilted his head slightly and just stared blankly at the other wolf with a slightly ajar maw.

"He's just...standing there?" He muttered with a rather confused tone, an uncertain expression drawing upon his maw. Snorting a short breath, the fiery wolf was quick to come to a conclusion judged by posture and body language; the other male wasn't bloodthirsty nor searching for a brawl. This male, the one before him, was rather passive and Tasubaa like that.

Since he had found his way into the depths of the woods, Tasubaa had been selective in making himself known or creating associations with any wolf whom he had crossed paths with. He was more than certain that Valen still wanted to kill him and make certain that he would never return to take control of the pack and those he oppressed and his "loyal followers" would no doubt heed his words and seek to spill his blood.

He almost lost his life once and never again would he chance it, not until he was ready and at full strength to face Valen again.

Assured that he was in no danger, Tasubaa slowly slinked out from the shrouding cover of the shadows and slowly padded towards the young male.

"Don't worry, I'm not looking for a fight, Just makin' sure you're not one of the wolves searching to kill me," he announced with a reassuring tone, a hint of a gruff nature that presented itself in a rather benign stature.

His tail swayed casually behind him as he shooks his head, har waving in an elegance and graceful manner as he drew closer yet kept a comfortable distance. Peering up towards the green and white hued wolf, his brilliant orange-hued eye met with the cerulean eyes of the male.

"Sorry to make you uneasy, I didn't mean it," he replied with a small grin. "Names Tasubaa. And you are?"

Link paused again, the soft rattling of his chain continued for a quick second after his last movement. He stared into the other wolf's eye, finding truth behind his words he lowered his head in a respective bow.

"......Link..." He spoke softly.

Again, if this wolf trusted him at least enough to give out his name than Link would do the same.
One thing Link had noticed on the other wolf was his metal "human" items, or so Link had called them. Tasubaa's ears were pierced, like his own, only more. Link did not focus too much on these items, in the case it might stir up a painful memory with the other wolf. He remembered his own experiences, they were branded into his memory... and they were not pleasant. It was something he tried to keep in the back of his mind. Best not to let sour memories ruin the day...

Nodding his head in his own replicated style of respect towards the green and white hued wolf, Tasubaa smiled warmly. "An honor," he replied with a mildly gruff tone, his typical expressions and speech always were gruff but not in a ferocity. It was just how the young wolf had learned to talk...

Looking upon the other wolf as a smile still inhabited his maw, Tasubaa's right eye was drawn to a streak of light that reflected from some source down upon Links leg. It was then that the once warm smile slid into a solemn, bland facial expression.

He tilted his head slightly as he looked upon the same metal that was confounded within Links ear, the works of human hands, and at the metal anklet that sat just above his paw. The memories of the natives speaking in foreing tongues and holding him down while they pierced his ears, constructing them with strange metals and chanting, never did make sense but, to his pack, it was an honorable tradition that both wolves and the natives upheld. Both mankind and wolves lived in unision; wolves and man assisted and protected one another in a mutal bond.

But, still shrouded against his logic as to why it occured, when the natives departed from their territory, Tasubaa was left with the constant recollection of the meaning of "brotherhood." Even to this day, the anklets that rode just above his paws, the piercing and feathers that stuck out from his jagged hair, remained with him in honor of the tribe and his pack.

His maw slacked open, hesitant to even ask such a question but, perhaps, Link had been pierced by the same natives; those who respected the wolf as an embled and symbol of brotherhood.

"Were- Are those metals pieces in your ear from the natives?" He asked in a soft tone as his right eye drifted up to those of the green and white wolf.

A slight scowl and a bit a a snarl drew upon his maw as the mere thought of human hands clasping strange objects within ones ears and ankle were horrific and gruesome. He despised foreigners! Tasubaa never had held a more furious and loathing hatred for any two-legger before! He had seen firsthand of what they could do and of what senseless bloodshed and courruption they could disperse through the lands.

Humans were never too be trusted. Especially the foreigners.

His metal ridden ears flickered in sadness as his firey orbs softened. Link had never deserved to be tormented, nor did any wolf whom had ever encountered them.

"I'm sorry to hear that," he spoke softly as a deep rumble sounded from his chest, sympathy making itself known. "Those foreigners...that wretched breed dosen't deserve to breath the same air as we! They're bloodlust will catch up to them and they'll face the sins they've sowed."

His tail arched behind him as he shifted his paws upon the ground. Humans; they'll bring their own ruins upon them. And when that day would come, Tasubaa would be there to watch the spectacle unfold.

A solemn, saddened expression crossed upon his maw as he nodded slowly, his orbs peering up towards Link's with an understanding insight; truth that the humans senseless and vicious traditions were only being passed on to their kin and would, most likely, be followed dilegently for generations to come. The thought of these two-leggers prospering by bloodshed made his stomach churn and knot.

"It's an epidemic that will continue throughout their generations," he commented as his metal ridden ears flickered, such thoughts were troubling but, most of the time, Tasubaa hid his emotions from the like sof others. "But what can we do? We can only watch our backs and evade them when they persue us with their sharp sticks and those that explode like thunder."

His nostrils flared slightly as he snorted a mild breath. Humans were ruthless and their compassion towards nature, let alone their own kind, was ill and twisted. They were a breed that no wolf could ever understand.

"They never have learned from their mistakes," he dryly remakred as his tail thumped upon the ground, giving the dirt rise into the air and stirring a few leaves.

Link shook his head as he remembered the young child's face. He, the child didn't want to... but he would learn to want to.
He looked away from the Tasubaa as he composed himself and pushed that image to the back of his mind.

"...So, were are you heading?... If you do not mind my asking."
He spoke calmly and quietly, but too quiet as to not be heard. It was an obvious change in subject.

Tasubaa didn't really mind the sudden change of subject. In fact, he much rather like the change from such a sadistic conversation to something a bit more...casual.

His brows knitted slightly as he perused his thoughts. "I don't mind at all," he chuckled with his typical, gruff and deep tone. But it was the wholesome truth, if any wolf or creature sought to extract information from him, he'd give it but, under some circumstances, for a price. "I'm not sure where I'm going...all I know is that I'm searching for someone, a friend, is all."

His fiery hued tail thumped upon the ground and swept in a nonchalant manner. Where exactly he was headed or destined to end up was unknown but all that mattered was finding her, finding...Mika.

"So," he began with a rather perplexed expression drawn upon his maw, "are you searching for something as well?"

"I was told of a pack in the mountains... I wish to live there." Link looked back at Tasubaa as he spoke.

For years, most of his life, he has done nothing but wonder around the land. This pack in the mountains, from what he as told, seemed like a good place to call home.
Though he was also told getting there was not easy. And being accepted into this pack was hard, but Link was up to this challenge.

The fiery beta nodded his head, tilting it slightly as hi scarred and sole eye focused upon the green and white hued male before him.

The mountain pack? Ah, these days there were too many packs whom had left the sacred rockies and had chosen to flee towards the woods searching for a safehaven and an escape from mankind. From his past, mankind had always inhabited the mountain ranges just up near Seer's Cliffside and up around the bends of the valley. But, from what he could remember, there were only five packs whom remained still grounded within their roots of their packlands. It only made Tasubaa knit his brows and wonder why wolves would leave their home. Were these times really driving wolves from their homes and towards the unknown?

"Those wolves from the mountain have a different "culture" than those of the woods have," he commented as his tail flicked behind him, a chuckle or two emitting from the depths of his chest. "The needs for bloodlust, domination coarses through their veins with an unceasing strength. I should know....my former pack was born and bred within the mountains and the power that some assert drives them mad."

Shaking his head as he whisked away some of the tattered and spiked hair that feel into his view, Tasubaa shifted his anklet ridden feet and shifted his dead, scarred eye in the direction of Link.

"The consequences for such things of power and betrayal are devestating but the yearning for revenge that the soul feeds the heart is even greater."

Oh Valen! That sick twisted wolf, his own Alpha had become power hungry!

The belief that he, Tasubaa, was plotting against him to overthrow him took over the Alphas brain and reinforced a gauge of hatred between the once "best friends". The actions of losing his sight in one eyes and being plotted against as Valen sought his death only kindled the fiery wolfs desire for revenge!

One day, Tasubaa would get revenge; he would kill Valen and rescue his pack.

"... I have heard differently... There must be more than one pack out there." He spoke calmly, remembering what he had heard about the pack he seeked.

Link took into deep thought everything Tasubaa had said. There had been rumors of a wolf possessed by the crows... or was it the other way around?
This was the pack he was looking for.

"The pack I seek is lead by the Crow Wolf... I have heard they are a noble pack."

Link's ears flickered as a crow flew overhead and landed on a nearby branch. His tail started to sway behind him. He did not let this sudden appearance by the bird loose his eye contact with the other wolf, however it did sparked some curiosity.
