Devi was relaxing in the Hover Cargo. It had been a long while since she'd stopped fighting for the day. She'd probably explored each and every individual part of the Transport Zoid twice. With her limited repair skills, she really hadn't been able to do much for the Shield Liger. The Mini-Zoid that had taken shelter in the cockpit of the Zoid for many years had finally been repaired, thanks to hours of boredom. And there was still no sign of Ryo and Ven. It wasn't like she knew how to drive the large machine, so she didn't want to risk destroying anything. ...Whatever was in this stupid wasteland.
She spun in the chairs that were in front of the controls. She probably could drive it if she tried, though she didn't want to leave without her teammates. She sighed, then looked at the beeping monitor. It was showing a small blinking dot in the distance. Maybe it was something that would provide some excitement. Dragon was perched on her shoulder, playing with her hair. Its tail was playing with the strands, adjusting them to its will. The small repair machine knew that if it tyed any knots in her hair, then it would be disassembled before it could even move.

Devi watched the com link for a moment, leaning against the control panel. She didn't spin around any more, though. Instead, the chair was firmly planted into the ground. She groaned a little. She didn't really want to associate with anyone at the moment, not without the other two there. It was a guy, and he sounded a little nervous. She had to check the monitor once more before she replied.
"Sorry, but I have no idea where the next town is. We were on our way there until we got stopped by some jerk who wanted to inspect our transport. Been stuck here ever since. And I have absolutely no idea what course we were on."
She sighed again. Boring, boring, boring. She hadn't even fought in a few hours, and it wasn't like her last fight had actually been legit or anything. To both her and the Shield Liger, it was like a slaughter. With a little bit of damage to her. The only reason she'd stopped was because she'd finally realized something was wrong. Ven hadn't fought with them the first time, but when she got back, he hadn't been there. And Ryo had gone off to fight that Eli girl.

Devi was again returned to spinning in her chair. She was not nervous around others, no, it was usually the opposite. For years, they'd been afraid of her. Before, they'd had good reason. Now, even though she was different, the people she knew before still didn't believe she'd changed at all. At least now she wouldn't punch them in the face for looking at her strangely. No, she'd only fight them with Shield Liger and laugh at them a little afterwards. Though before, it would have been maniacal. Now it had been toned down to just a little creepy.
"Don't worry about it. Though you may want to find a place to stay. It's getting late, and since we were attacked in broad daylight, it's likely that anyone found wandering at night will be, too."
From what she knew, it was true. A relatively large group of theives had already tried to get them -and failed miserably, by the way- as a matter of fact, the Black Rhimos was probably still sitting, destroyed and left until its owner could return with a good mechanic.

Devi stretched, trying to get rid of the tired feeling that came with the boredom. She'd watched the Zoid move all the way from the outskirts of the screen to the direct center, where it came to a stop. Apparently, either the Zoid or its pilot planned on staying there for a little while. Not that she didn't want company. Once he left, she'd have nothing better to do than search for the two missing pilots, anyway. Might as well enjoy herself as much as she could for the time being. Though this guy really didn't seem that calm at the moment.
"That's fine with me, though I don't know how comfortable it'll be sleeping in your cockpit. Sadly, we only have room for three Zoids, though we probably have an extra room."

Devi laughed at the man's reaction. He apparently had no control over his Zoid at the moment. That, or the large mechanical beast had a mind of its own. That it loved to use so it could go against his will. Even if the pilot was at the controls, wasn't the Zoid able to do whatever it wanted? It could choose to obey what the people was telling it to do, or it could do what it wanted. But Devi and the Shield Liger were a little different. It would only disobey when it knew something was wrong, or when it felt that she wasn't doing what she was supposed to.
"As long as Knight doesn't mind spending the night outside, I think it'll be fine with Ryo and Ven."

Devi rolled back in the seat and pushed off the control panel. She kicked one of the other seats to push her back towards the many buttons. She had to examine the many levers and switches to try to find the one that would let Kard in. If nothing else worked, she could use process of elimination. Hopefully, Ryo didn't have a "blow the Hover Cargo up" button or something. Then they'd all be in really big trouble. Devi exclusively.
She guessed right after about the third time, and managed to make an entrance. Where it was, she didn't know. It might be on the other side, or right in front of him. With any luck, it'd be close to the controls. She didn't want to have to go looking for him because he got lost.
"It shouldn't be that hard to find the front, just keep walking. If you get lost, I should be able to lead you here."
She stood up and stretched, and began wandering around the room. Maybe there was something she'd overlooked that might actually have some interest to her. ...Apparently, she didn't think much of allowing a stranger to spend the night. She could protect herself if anything went wrong, and anyway, he had a Zoid with him. He probably could, too.

Devi had found managed to locate a pen. It was silently moving through her fingers as she tried to remember something. It'd been bothering her for a while now. It felt like she'd forgotten something for years, and even when she remembered it, she forgot it by the time she was near a phone. Damn. It was just getting annoying, now. With nothing else to think about, her mind had wandered to the topic again.
She was sitting in the chair, relaxing her body. Long, long day. Who would have thought that something so simple as joining a team would be so frustrating sometimes? Her already raggedy-looking clothes were starting to look even worse. She'd have to get some more when they got out of the desert. She didn't look professional at all. Not that she was. She was a pilot, first and foremost. Fashion came after battles. Though it was nicer to have clean clothes and a nice place to stay other than the hotel she could pay for with the leftover money.
"I wonder what he's doing out here."
