I'm not humongous on obvious romance-- I like the subtle sort better. That's why I like Dianne Wynne Jones, and Patricia C. Wrede, authors of the Moving Castle series and Magic Forest series respectively.

AuthenticDivine Jane Austen = my hero I especially loved Pride and Prejudice. Yep. Pride and Prejudice is my favorite of her books. Did you ever read the sequels (not by her, but still pretty good) Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife and Darcy and Elizabeth?

*is huge fan of Meg Cabot, as shown by my sig* Anyway, I love Meg Cabot, Tamora Pierce, and most chick-lit authors. I also adore David Levithan and Alex Sanchez (gay authors). I love fluffy romance, especially of the gay kind.
My favorite book would have to be Boy Meets Girl by Meg Cabot (straight romance) and Boy Meets Boy (gay romance, duh! lol)

Tamora Pierce has some pretty good fantasy romance. I like the Alanna/George, Daine/Numair, and Aly/Nawat parings.
I think the most romantic would be Daine/Numair, but I really can't decide between that or Alanna/George. Aly/Nawat is just kinda cute.

Have you guys heard of the Avon True Romance Line? They're all good! Meg Cabot wrote 2 of them (Nicola and the Viscount and Victoria and the Rogue) and since she became famous, they re-published them with a new cover. Sadly, the rest of them were not so lucky. sad
