Since the only anime I've seen is Card Captor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicles and Gundam Wing, I'd say Sakura/Syaoran, the classic one XD

You know, though Miaka/Tamahome isn't my favorite anime paring,(Though I do LOVE Rimudo/Takiko in FYGK) I really do think the love story is sweet...to a point.
I can't help but criticize how Tama was all "MIAKA! I LUV J00!" really early on in the series...I don't think that he would just go from "Pfft. Stupid girl." to "I love her more than life itself!" overnight.
But later in Part 2, I think its more mature and therefore, much better with Taka as opposed to Tamahome.

Unlikely, yes, but not unheard of. Romeo and Juliet was way faster, and then there was Titanic, which took place over three days. I think it was a really sweet romantic paring, how they still loved each other witht that intensity no matter what came in their way.

And there wasn't a cute modern day version Jie-Lian (or whatever her name was in the anime.)

I have so many favorite anime pairings though! Hmm...But I guess my all time favorite pairings would be Sesshoumaru/Rin from InuYasha (don't kill me sweatdrop ); Trunks/Pan from Dragonball Z; and Sakura/Sasuke/Itachi from Naruto! ^_^

When I first picked up GK at Borders, I thought it would be kinda like you expect Disney sequels/prequels to be - teh suckage. But NO! I like it even BETTER than the original now! Plus, Rimudo/Takiko is beautiful, but gonna end up really sad when it eventually ends. But for now, its soooo cute!

At first, he's a bit whiny and angsty, but then again, Tamahome was sometimes too. I just think how he was willing to fight like that depsite having no powers was more meaningful to me.
