Ok, Ill go ahead and assume we have all beat the game. But for those who have not, stop reading now.
Such a great game, but I have always been a little miffed about the ending. I absolutely adored the monochrome cast credits. They were awesome and the music was beautifully scored to gently float between the differing character themes. You get to see the escape....but then you get ....nothing.
The only really good part of the post-character roll was when Terra takes off her headband, as kind of a symbol of "we're free". But the rest of it was just pointless shots of the Falcon zooming around....
So the reason for the post: Is there anyone else here who was minorly let down from the ending? Reasons why? Absolutely adored the ending and think Im just being picky? Please, I'd love to see what you all think.

victoryusagi *travels back in time and changes the game so it ends with "And they all lived happily ever after..."* I wasnt looking for an "all lived happily ever after" ending. Hell, the open endedness of Shadow's monochromed segment was great. What I am referencing is the useless "let's show scenes of the airship flying..for no reason!" portion of the ending. It was such a waste.

Yeah, the shots of the airship zooming around all crazy was kind of pointless.

The airship flying around was an extension of the freedom they gained after... ah hell, it was rather pointless wasn't it?

it's been about 7 or 8 years since I've seen the ending. sweatdrop
I should get around to beating it again instead of getting distracted by other games.

Terra~Branford crying Oi, I guess I'm the only one who liked the ending. Wah crying It was just the zooming around on the world map I didn't like. I didn't like it when they did it in FF9 either. I guess I'm just not a fan of action on the world map.

I liked the ending, but I always thought it was a little lacking. I'm still unsure what it was exactly that it was missing, but after all those scenes, there was a sense of "That's it?"... maybe I was just sad it was over. sweatdrop
