this is the words to the opening theme, i just felt like dooing this so don't kill me. who knows it could spark a discusion. but probbly not.

like an angel without a sense of mercy
rise young boy to the heavens as a legend

cold winds, as blue as the sea
tear open the door to your heart
but unkowing you seem, just staring at me
standing there serenely

desperate for something to touch
a moument of kindness like that in a dream
your innocent eyes as yet have no idea
of the path your destiny will follow

but someday you'll become aware of
everything that you've got behind you
(not at this point various characters faces appear)

your wings are seeking out
a new future that only you can search for

the cruel angel's thesis breeds
through a portal like your pulsing blood
if you should betray the chapel of your memories
the cruel angel will enter the window of your soul

so boy, stand tall and embrace the fire of legend
embrace the universe like a blazing star!

This is sarcasm, right? That's a translation of the Eva lyrics.

I noticed them because I watched the whole series, the first time, on VHS, and VHS tapes don't have the 'skip track' button that allows me to skip openings when I want to get to the meat of the episode. So I watched that opening song 26 times. More than that, really, because I also watched it when I got the DVDs a few times, as well. Quite a few times, in fact, because sometimes I don't feel like skipping the opening song because I'm either interested in hearing the song or too lazy to fiddle with the controller and get past it.

When I first started watching the anime, the theme song got stuck in my head. But, by episode 12, I ended up getting sick of it and I just fast forward through the opening now.

Lol, I never skip the opening song.. it just doesn't feel right if I do. That and the next button on my DVD remote skips too far so I miss out on a few minutes at the start of each episode.

Anyway, I love the song. I almost always skip the ending credits though. Fly Me To The Moon can really get on one's nerves after the.. first time.
