Natsu  The fierce leader of his herd, Natsu is brave and heroic. Unfortunately, he also has a bit of an ego. He is good-looking and he knows it; and this prompts him to often flirt with and attempt to charm most mares that he meets. Although he is a bit arrogant at times, he has a good heart, and would never take it so far as to hurt someone.

Kai  Kai is the oldest and wisest member of the herd. While time has done nothing to diminish her beauty, it has had a bit of an effect on her grace. Although she is kind, caring, and never quick to judge, she is, unfortunately, a bit of a klutz. Despite this, however, she has a huge heart, and her gentle nature would drive her to sacrifice herself to save a complete stranger.

Rude  Rude lives up to his name, as he tends to be just that-- rude. He is angry and spiteful, quick to assume things and start fights, and rarely lets anyone get close to him. Rude tends to stay away from his herd, as he considers himself a rogue, and refuses to acknowledge that he cares about anyone... save a very select few.

A part of him wanted to shout his joy to the world, prance around like an immature yearling and announce to all that she was his mate, his one and only. Nothing could ruin this moment. "I think if I were to die right now, I'd die one of the happiest stallions ever." He returned her gaze as he brushed her forelocks from her eyes, marveling at the brightness and sparkle, relishing in the fact that he had put that there. "Have I told you that you're beautiful?"

Gaze  Gaze is a rather mischievious mare that loves teasing, pranking, and poking fun at others, but she rarely has ill intent. It's all in good fun. Be careful not to make her angry, though- she is a force to be reckoned with when provoked, and like all mares, she tends to be feisty at times.

Haru  Haru has a very gentle nature- not surprising, considering the herd he grew up with. Kai especially has had a big influence in his upbringing, and as a result, he has gained a respect for most females that most stallions never possess. He has a very chivalrous attitude that Kai has predicted will have females 'falling all over themselves' for him, but he's not particularly interested in looking for a mate at the moment- he's waiting for the right one to find him.

Fierra  Fierra has a very kind and sweet disposition- but she is also very skittish. She is always walking on eggshells, trying to make sure she never inconveniences anyone or gets in their way, and she becomes very timid and softspoken in the face of anger or any sort of hostility. She is also intensely shy and modest- so much, sometimes, that she tends to run away to save herself from embarassment or ridicule.

Shikoba  Shikoba is a pacifist, and what his sister would call a "pushover" (and she has reminded him of this every day of his existence). He is usually very kind except to those who threaten his loved ones, but he will never hesitate to speak his mind to others. Despite this, he makes a valiant effort not to cross anyone or inconvenience them as long as they present no threat to others (himself is a different story).

Love
'Koba has never been a romantic or a charmer, and the only time that the possibility of a mate was ever brought up was when his sister saw fit to poke fun at him. He never saw the need to go looking for a female to sweep off her feet, but he fell head over hooves for Kuraifuyu- literally- the first time he met her. She was the most beautiful thing he'd ever laid eyes on; of course, he still thinks this, and wonders what he ever did to deserve her. They met when Shikoba saved her from a potentially nasty accident, tackling his running sister to the ground to avoid running into Kurai. He'd never been smooth with mares- he was bashful, shy, and unsure of himself, but she didn't seem to mind. In fact, she seemed to be more drawn to him since he didn't try to charm her. Through a misunderstanding, they were almost torn apart; but it made their bond that much stronger.

Sage  Sage is what most would call 'seductive'. She knows she is attractive, and often uses it to her advantage. She can be rather vain at times, but deep down she has a good heart, no matter how snobbish and immature she may act. However rare it may be, she has been known to sacrifice her own happiness for that of others' although if asked about it, she would vehemently deny it.

Ryu  Ryu is an adorable jokester who rarely ever takes things seriously, even when he knows he should. He loves to make people laugh, sometimes at his own expense, and sometimes at the expense of others, but most of the time, he means well. He would never do anything to purposely hurt someone- but annoying them is a different story.

Background Story
Ryu was born as the runt of the litter- small and weak- and was not expected to live past the first few days outside his mother's womb. Devastated, but resigned to acceptance, his parents left him with a herd who's territory they had been passing through at his birth- not able to bear watching him die, but not wanting to leave him alone, either. With some words of love and apology to their newborn, his parents and siblings left. The herd who had taken him in was very kind to him, and miraculously, Ryu somehow managed to pull through the first few weeks, and slowly started to recover and build up strength.
Gradually, Ryu grew into a strong young foal, no longer the runt or weakling of his herd, but he was without any real family. Natsu was like a father to him, and a great role model- but after being told of the fate his real parents had left him to, he began to long for their love, wish for the siblings that he knew were out there somewhere. Although he remained with the herd that had become his adopted family, he vowed to start a search for his real parents and siblings, wherever they may be- despite the fact that they most likely wouldn't even remember him.

Sarabi  Sarabi, the well-known lioness queen from the Lion King, is a very proud- and very stubborn, but kind female. She places very high value on honor and responsibility, which also creates sometimes impossibly high expectations for herself. Nevertheless, she is gentle and caring, especially to those she looks after and considers her own.

Keahina Seiko  Keahina Seiko- who goes by Seiko most of the time- is an intensely private person, and tends to keep to himself a lot. He is not by any means anti-social, he just prefers to keep his thoughts to his own mind. Kumori  No one is completely sure why Kumori is the way she is- it's certainly not a trait she inherited from either of her parents. Kumori- whose name means 'Shadow' in japanese- seems to have just that; a sort of shadow side that comes out every now and then. Most of the time, she's friendly, outgoing, and energetic, but every so often, she'll have random bouts of mostly unexplained and unprovoked anger, insanity, or upset. Her parents and siblings have grown used to it, but it might be a shock to those who don't know her.

Lyassa  Lyassa probably inherited the most of her mother's personality than any of the other yuma in her family. She is your average shy, sweet, and timid female, with just a teeny little bit of her father's rebellious nature mixed in. It's rare for Ly to stand up against something or rebel, but don't put it entirely past her- she might just surprise you. However, there is more of a melancholy side to Lyassa than most would know about- at times, she can seem sad and depressed; she is very sensitive, and can get hurt easily.
