Alright. After thinking a bit, it's become painfully apparent that there isn't enough flexibility in race, etc for our only current world (Anaur). People seem to want a whole lot more wiggle room (more races, not just humans, less concrete relations between nations, etc. ).
And as such... well, if there is enough interest left in this old guild to keep going, I was thinking of footing the bill for another subforum, and another world.
So tell me: What would you like to see in this new world?

Okay, then!
Any more suggestions on race are welcome. A little more input would work best.
What about the setting? Medieval, modern, futuristic, or something else, maybe? Should it be large or specific (a galaxy, a planet, or even just one city)?

If we're going with fantasy, a medieval setting works best. There's just something about elves a sci-fi/high tec that makes he cry on the inside. blaugh
As far as races go, I'd definately like to see elves, halflings, and the like. I know I had talked to you before about being able to play things like centaurs; I'd love to be able to do that, and don't feel like you need to foot the bill yourself; I'd gladly fund a subforum so long as we can play something besides humans.
I will suggest, though, that you place limitations on races such as demons, angels and dragons. These sorts of characters I've noticed from experience tend to get out of hand really quickly; perhaps only offer them as a half race? Half-human, half demon sort of thing?

Limitations, alright. I think I have a workable idea of how it could be limited without having a bunch of missing demon parents... biggrin
Edit: Midieval... so fuedal Europe, or Japan, or some other place?

Ship shafters, like a zombie spirit like you know create a equel amount of dark races and light races and people can choose from then.

Pros and cons to both Europe and Asia, I think I like... o_o *flips coin* >_> <_< Uuh... Methinks Europe perhaps? There are lots of Asian ones, mayhap something Asian can be a third world later >_<
NO Angels/Devils. Iffy on the Demons thing though, limitations are deffinatly good, but saying everyone can only be half-demon is setting up for a lot of very similar back-stories. O_o;;

I'd have to second the though about half-breeds. To many and you end up with BAD InuYasha re-runs (though InuYasha itself is AWESOME!!!! sry, had to rant whee ) There SHOULD be a limit of some sort of Angels and Demons, but don't count them out completely.
As for setting, I'm personally more used to Midieval Asian settings, so I'm voting that direction, but I do understand that they are semi-overused.

I think europe but yeah angels and demoms can get annoying becuase everyone thinks their the best races. I could understand half breeds but only one special half like half vampire,half human. Not like two opposing sides like half angel, half demon becuase they just get annoying and tend to start goddmoding.

So do we want it to actually be in our world, or something that simply reflects how something in our world goes?
Does anyone want to give any important historical events that happen before the roleplay timeline begins?

I don't think we should have demons or angels at all....to may people godmod with those type of characters. stare But thats just my personel opinion. Also I agree that we should have Europe...how about in the time of the black plague?

Well, with the people we have gathered here, character-killing obsessed people and godmoders should be very very rare, if not nonexistent. Hopefully. We will limit those character though, if we allow them at all.
