||: Ranks ||:
***Titles for each rank are NOT permanent for we haven't exactly decided on what each will be called.
-------------------------
||:Head--Heads can be described much like Alphas. (again, names are not definite) Head wolves are those who lead the pack in every way. They keep politics and order as well as conduct hunts and basically do all the big and little jobs around, with the help of others. These wolves need to be stern and tough, have bulk and brains but also need to have open minds and sustain an equal amount of sociality as well as leader qualities. There are only 2 heads within this pack, one being female and the other being male.
||:Advantages--Given that these wolves are the 'head' of the pack, when hunts are instructed and a meal is brought back, they are the first to eat. The male head tends to be the last to fall asleep, making last rounds about the site, yet the female of the pack can also do the same. During breeding seasons however, Heads are not the first to eat, and give up their title in that way to those who are going to give birth, or the pups who've reached the age where meat is their diet.
Male: Catalyst Female: Kalia
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Alpha)
||:Scouts--Scouts resemble that of Beta's. They have much more work to put out, being that night hours range from 4 to whatever hour the pack awakens. Those who are titled as scouts are trustworthy and have every ounce of loyalty to the Heads and in return gain that same respect from said leaders. The Scout-hounds tend to be large and built, not always are they fast, depending on their assigned site, yet many times this comes in handy and is what the Heads look for. Many times, Heads chose from 2-5 scouts for a pack, this pack however hasn't maintained enough members to collect that many as of yet.
||:Advantages--Besides being close to the heads, these wolves are second to eat after hunts and are not forced into doing anything other then scouting. They can, however, participate in hunts, baby-sit, and mainly do any other job they wish to take on. (other then ruling) Scouts also have ties with other scouts in other packs and are included in important meetings between Heads and other alphas.
Female(s): Kirra Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Beta, Gamma)
|| biggrin efaults--Defaults are much like Gamma's in which case they don't really hold any 'rank' so to speak. Many times, Defaults turn out to be part of the hunting category.
-Hunters--Mainly default rankings yet they hold their own system of rankings as well. There will be Head ranks, which as the title implys would be the 'Heads' of the pack. Of course 6/10 times, the 'beta' wolves or a Scout will take on the role of head hunter for the Heads themselves will be busy with other pack work.
-Gangers will be the wolves who slink about the prey, cornering it and wearing it down.
-Attackies will be those wolves who lunge in for the attack, the Head hunters will be the ones to lead this assault. These wolves can be joked as 'Ankle bitters'.
-Gruffs are the bulk of the hunting group and tend the be the ones who drag the prey back to the pack. If the meal is far to large, then a gruff will either be sent back to call forth the pack or signal out a howl towards the pack. Gruffs will need to have plenty of stamina and strength for their job entitles all of the above--attacking, running ect.
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Beta, Gamma, Adolescent, Lone wolf,)
||:Care takers--Care takers tend to be the weaker wolves who aren't capable of handling hunts or scouting. Their main purpose is to stay behind while the parents are out and look after the children. They tend to be very good story tellers and are patient with children. Although the weak are normally chosen for the job, those mother wolves who are early in pregnancy often are put to work through this, seeing that it entitles little movement and only the careful eyes of protective instincts.
||:Advantages--Care takers don't have advantages per say, though they are trusted, seeing that many times even the Heads will leave their children with them. They are not included with high priority pack stress, yet the Heads do give forewarning of certain things to come. Though they are weak with strength, they are treated as individuals when it comes to hunts, and many times are the ones to eat second to last. (Unless they are a mother-to-be, in which case are given the right to eat first)
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Beta, Gamma, Omega, Shaman, Seer)
||:Communicators--Communicators are the wolves whom are kept secret at times and are trusted like Beta's with high-priority information. Many times, the things sent between communicators are things such as alliances or gradual idea's of war or over throwing. Communicators are in contact with every one of the Heads sister packs and are sent constantly when an urgent message is needed to be shipped out. These wolves need to be the quiet ones, whose loyalty to the pack exceeds any outside persuasion. They also need to be strong and fierce for the tendency of outside attacks from other, nosey packs may occur. Communicators are also kept distant from the pack, so as the scent of it's main living space is not found out. They tend to hunt for themselves, seeing that their voyages can stretch for days.
||:Advantages--Communicators do not have many advantages other then being trusted with important information. Communicators are treated unlike the others in the ranking system for they are given permission to hunt for themselves and eat for themselves.
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Beta, Gamma, Seer)
||:Imposters--Imposters, much like Communicators, tend to keep their distance from the packs and many times travel alone. An Imposters job is much like a nosey neighbors. They are sent by the Heads directly and go about the lands, appearing as stray wolves, and dig up dirt on other packs. Many times, the information gathered from Imposters are important things such as the building of a war or an attack, an over throw or an alliance between enemy packs. The Imposters are close to the heads, yet see them every few weeks or months. Scheduled meetings are made while the Imposters and Heads meet, speaking over what has been discovered, yet if news of something urgent swifts through an Imposter wolf, it is most likely that the wolf will return to the pack and give the information. Many times the meetings last for half-an-hour, seeing that the scent of the head can easily be transferred over to the Imposter. These wolves can also be close to the Communicators, giving information to those wolves if the heads aren't reachable. Imposters must have stamina and strength to outrun other packs who may find out said Imposters presence.
**More on how to RP an Imposter to come. For now, they shall be rare and no rank such as this will be given out to any wolf just yet.
||:Advantages--Imposters do not have many advantages, like Communicators, other then fending for themselves.
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Beta, Gamma, Seer, Shaman)
||:Story tellers--Story tellers is it's own ranking for not always are the Care takers capable of telling the stories. Because of this, Story tellers are mainly needed for children only, and do not go on hunts. Often, a Shaman who falls into the pack can be a Story Teller, in which case they also give notice of any future happenings through their creative way of depicting it through words.
||:Advantages--Story tellers do not have many advantages, yet if one is a Shaman, then like any other shaman or seer, they are top priority and eat with the Heads. Depending upon how many of course there are.
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Beta, Gamma, Shaman, Omega, Seer)
||:Foreseers--Foreseers are those who are mystical in the sense that they read minds. Those wolves who stumble into the pack are treated at top priority and eat with the Heads, as long as the number of them do not exceed a certain amount. Foreseers are welcomed into the pack to take on certain rolls such as Communicator or Imposter, allowing them to keep their distances yet have contact with packs at many times.
||:Advantages--Eat with the Heads.
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Seer)
||:Healers--Healers are the Shamans who make their way into the pack. These wolves, who have the capability to heal, will most likely be treated like 'Beta's' as well yet depending on the number of Shamans in the pack, they will either eat with the Alpha's and the Seers or directly afterwards. These wolves have no direct ties with the pack if they do not wish for it, but as long as they pledge loyalty to the Heads, so should their trust remain in them. Healers resemble those of imposters, yet are not forced to keep their distance. Healers are welcomed and highly expected to stay near the pack so as if a war breaks out, they are handy.
||:Advantages--Eat with the Heads, allowed distance and fending for themselves.
Female(s): --- Male(s): ---
(Stages that can go into this Rank: Shaman)
