For the past few months.... i have started dreaming again, and most of them are the same... i am in this realm. now while i'm there i am exploring it. i keep seeing what seem like portals every where. you can see what the portals lead to, and most of them i see other people, some of them are my friends, some are not. the ones with my friends in them are different.... and i start to think to myself that they would love to see this. so i mentioned what i saw in one of these trips... and they just looked at me for a moment and asked where i heard that from cause that was just like their dream the night before.
so my theory is this, is it possible for all our dreams, our fantasies, and our nightmares, to come from a realm seperate from us? what do you people think?

You could be lucid dreaming or astral projecting.
Posts such as these also belong in the Official Dreams thread, or even in the help or questions subforum.

thats not entirely true, the only record instences were not of choice, and they were only recorded because they thought the person who did it was sick and had some sort of mental illness.

That's not true at all. Astral projection and lucid dreaming are recorded daily. Heck, these are even practices used in shrinks' offices, oftentimes. Sure they might not always have the same equipment as a sleep lab or something like that, but these things have been recorded more than once.
There's no reason not to trust in it other than lack of faith in ones own self.

Exactly.
May I suggest a book titled
"Astral Traveling For Beginners"?
It is by Richard Webber, and its quite informative on the subject.
And I found it to be a great help for my astral traveling. And study in general.

I think it's all in your head. You make your dreams what they are. Your imagination is probably been more active then it should be.

I know it may be hard, but I'd try to remember the faces of the people you don't know, and look for them on the street or something like that. It'd be an interesting experiment.

I dream about a vampire named louie and he makes me get stuff for him and he nows the future and to make me do stuff for him he insults me horrificly and deadly makes me go insane
and I dream about death
and I dream about fear

An entire realm for dreams and dreaming's cropped up twice in (good) fiction (Lovecraft's Dreamlands and Neil Gaiman's Sandman), but I guess there's really no way to tell if there actually is a 'realm' we go to when we sleep, redefining the world realm notwithstanding. mulderxfiles I dream about a vampire named louie and he makes me get stuff for him and he nows the future and to make me do stuff for him he insults me horrificly and deadly makes me go insane and I dream about death and I dream about fear Don't be afraid to PM if they're any questions I am a dream expert I can answer any questions on dreams Sure, you can answer any question on dreams - but will it be the right answer?
