Imagine my surprise when I got home and there was suddenly a frog-like creature on the sundial. The worst part, I believe was Makani was there and glaring at the creature.
"What happened?" I found myself asking aloud, above the croaking of the frog.

She just up and disappeared without a word, leaving me to wonder what the hell was going on and then sent a summoning sundial home. Then she had the nerve to ask what happened?
"It was a summoning sundial in a manner," I gritted out. "A lot like my chime."

I ribbeted.
"But don't you love me?" I asked in a high pitched, little girl voice. The whole world seemed to echo when I said those words. It would be fun to do it again!

I rubbed my head. This was getting to be too much. I didn't expect this to happen, and I didn't expect Makani to have a tone of annoyance.
"I didn't know that," I replied. Looking at the sundial and the frog-like creature that occupied it, I didn't know how to react.
"Please don't talk right now," I pleaded with her. I had to smooth things over with Makani, and it wouldn't help if she kept commenting.

I nodded at the nice lady's request and closed my eyes as I continued to sun under the noon rays, it would be nice to cool down in a pond, but there wasn't a one nearby. I yawned as I drifted off to sleep.

I hopped from foot to foot as I found my new neighbour, friend, relative... Whatever you could call a chime spirit. Ooops, off track. It was very frightening to have the chime spirit looming over me and my sundial. And I was thirsty! It was the worst combination ever!
"Hello," I meeped as he approached.

I never would have imagined that the Solrana would evolve so quickly. I glowered slightly without meaning to. Her voice grated on my nerves.
"We need to talk," I bit out.

I tilted my head slightly, was he trying to be polite this time? I nodded and leapt off of my sundial. I tugged on his pants lightly.
"Can I get a drink? Or a bath? I'm thirsty. Then we talk?" I pleaded. I could tell that he rolled his eyes, but he picked me up and took me inside the house. I smiled slightly. We would be good friends!
