Okay IRL we have standards in the strenght of youth that give us guide lines on how to dress. What is acceptable and what isn't. However my question for you is does that appy here on Gaia? Do you think it is important that we dress our gaians modestly? Many of us have LDS sigs, if our avy's were immodest would that not give some sort of message to those who see it? I have been wondering about this lately and decided to aks all of you. What do you think? Important? Or not?

i believe we should... we should try our best to put in good messages to people not of our faith... if we dont then they can use it against us and we could lose some peoples that way... plus our avys are like a second us... so we should dress appropriately as if we were really there.

I currently have an unmodest shirt and am/was planning on getting some more, but I feel really self-concious, this being an LDS guild and everything. I also feel guilty about not showing my modesty in other forums before I joined this one. So, ya, I guess I would say it is important.

i personally feel if you want to "strut your wares" i'm not going to stop you. but if it's that important (and it is) to wear modest clothing in the real world, then it should be important in everything else

lol, i remember when I first joined Gaia, I looked everywhere for inexpensive, modest clothing, and I had a bit of trouble (they dtill don't have dresses with sleeves on them >_<

Personally I think it does matter. My little sister was in my room with me while I was on the computer and I was in the guild at the time she saw someone whose Avvy was far from church dress standards. She just barley being 12 proceeded to question me about it because she also saw a Book of Mormon is the sig. The thing she said that really made me think was "but annie, doesn't in the young woman theme it state that we should "stand as witnesses of god at all times and in all things and in all places?" Anyway, that's just my opinion.
