This thread is designed for tips for backpackers.
What should you bring with you on tour?
How do you save money in London?
Where should I stay in Taipai?
If its advice for teh budget traveller, spill it here.
My advice.
Always use a disposable camera, if it gets stolen
all you loose is 1 film.
Record your traveller checks numbers in an email to yourself... if you bag gets stolen, and the numbers are in there as well as teh cheques, you are stuffed.

when backpacking through europe in the high season make sure you book your hostles ahead of time they fill up usauly about a week in advance and other places to stay can be highly exspensive this depneds on where you are i find this to be most true in the big citys
i like to go through my travel books and circle the things that are either free or very cheap so that they are easy to find
also back your lunch in staed of eating out for that meal it saves lots of cash
i also put aside a bit money in chase i have some kind of emergency so that i know its there
these are my best tips i have backpacked all over europe and parts of central and north america

I love backpacking and I think that if you are going than you should pack as light as possible because it will make a lot of difference in the end.

I have started buying travel clothes...
e.g. jeans that are made from wood pulpp, half teh weight of
regular denim but look the same, are stronger
but dry much faster.
