Solfege was one of my best friends in high school choir. biggrin
It disappoints me that so few people in my college choir don't know it very well. o_o

Haha. I just suck.
I honestly don't think that I should be in choir. As far as I'm concerned, the only reasons that I am are that I'm a low alto (and there aren't enough of them at this school), and I can match pitch.

I think you`re just in the process of becoming one. Indeed. Solfege takes practice. It took me four years of intense rehearsal use and two years of music theory/aural training classes to get decently good at it. Keep going!

Buut if I use solfege, I absolutely have to use the hand signs so I don't confuse myself. xD You are the end of everything I haven't slept since I woke up and found my whole life was a lie, <********>

Buut if I use solfege, I absolutely have to use the hand signs so I don't confuse myself. xD Yay hand signs! I used them when I first learned it in high school, but haven't since. I think they're very helpful, especially with younger singers. Teaching middle school choir is so much easier! Not to mention teaching very little ones to sing - it's almost essential for them. heart
