Munich had been lounging on her makeshift bed, in the shoebox that she had spiffed up quite nicely. She was reading a tiny magazine, made for a Barbie doll, and it was getting pretty...well, lame.

Throwing down the magazine, Munich huffed. "God, how horrible! Those girls are ridiculous!" she said, thinking of the stupid quizzes that never really told you anything about yourself. "Bad kisser my a**!" she said aloud, giving the magazine a stomp with her foot. Munich could not accept that she'd scored in the lowest bracket on the quiz: Loose Lips.

What a horrifying title: Loose Lips Munich. Gah!

Her wings twitched in annoyance as she shuffled the magazine across the floor once again. It was then that she heard a knock on the front door. Finally, something exciting!

She flew down the hallway, and out into the main living room, where Rhea was just waking up from a nap on the couch. The little psion looked tired, rubbing sleep from her eyes as the sound of knocking woke her up.

"Who's there?" she asked, looking at Munich, and then at the door.

"I dunno. Let's find out." With that, she pushed the release button on the inside of the door, and it swung open to reveal Trinityblue, Bav's bonded.

"You're Trinityblue, right?" she asked the woman, looking up to see Bav sitting on her shoulder. "Bav! Hey sis!" Flying up to Trin's shoulder, Munich greeted her sister with enthusiasm. It'd been a long time.

Munich accepted the mid-air hug, and grinned at Bav. "This is the humble abode," she said, sweeping her arm across the room in a show-and-tell fashion, finally ending at Rhea. "And this is my bonded, Rhea," she said, pointing to the little girl, who had gotten up off the couch to shake hands with Trinity.

"Nice to meet you," Rhea said, looking up at Trin and Bav, extending her hand for a shake. "It's so good to finally meet one of Mun's sisters," she added, looking at Bav and smiling. For a little girl, she was quite well-spoken and polite. "Why don't you all come in? Or, I guess we could go sit down on the beach...There's a table and chairs and an umbrella down there too...if you're feeling adventurous!"

Munich turned to face Bav's bonded. "It's a pleasure Trinityblue. I'm glad to see you're taking care of my sister here. Or is it that she's taking care of you? I know she's good at that," she said, giving her sister a wink and a slight nudge in the side with her elbow.

Munich just laughed. She knew that Bav would keep anyone in line. She was motherly to her own brothers and sisters, and Munich knew it went farther than that. "Good for you Bav. I know you can keep everyone in line."

Her face flushed a bit when her sister brought up her shoebox. "Yes, I'm still living there." Anyone could tell that Munich was a bit embarassed about it. "Do you wanna see it?" she offered sheepishly, waving her hand in front of her face to cool herself. "It's right down the hallway."

"Well, the beach is nice. And it's not too hot outside," Rhea added, motioning toward the back of the house. "We can grab some drinks from the kitchen first too," she said, grabbing Trin's hand, hopefully encouraging her to follow. "I don't get to talk to too many adults. My mom is the only one I see regularly, so this will be nice," she added with enthusiasm.

"Mun, do you want to show Bav your room? And then you two can come meet us outside when you're done?" Rhea turned back to see what Munich and Bavaria were planning on doing.

Rhea looked over to the two Feien and smiled. She was glad that this visit was getting off to a good start. Munich was a bit harsh to her bond sometimes, but today, it seemed Rhea was less annoying somehow. "Sure, you go decorate if you want. I've wanted to buy Mun a dollhouse to live in, but I've had to save up the money..." she said with a strained, and slightly sad smile.
She'd come to like the fairy a bit, even if she was more than unpleasant sometimes. She wouldn't want to live in a shoebox either...

Munich, though a bit transfixed with the handkerchief, heard her bonded say something about a dollhouse. "What? Are you really going to get me a dollhouse?" she asked, hovering quickly over to Rhea, who just nodded with a pleased smile on her face.

Munich tried to stifle her joy, and she cleared her throat. "Well Rhea, that would be very wonderful. Thank you." She gave the little girl a pat on the head, and though slightly condescending, it was the first time she'd ever really said anything nice about her bond. She flew back over to Bav, dismissing the girl as quickly as she'd come up on her. "What'cha got there Bav?" she asked, trying to take a peek inside the fabric.

Rhea grinned at Bav's bond, and finally noticed that the woman had ears and a tail. And then, her curiosity was piqued. It was question time. "Well, how about we get something to drink in the kitchen while we're waiting for them?" Pulling her by the hand, she attempted to lead them both toward the kitchen.

"Ready?" Munich asked her sister.

"Really? Wow Bav, you didn't have to do that!" Munich flew over to her sister and grabbed an end of the handkerchief, helping her fly the parcel down the hallway. Mun wasn't all that strong, but she tried. She did appreciate her sister helping her out, and it seemed that she knew a couple of spells Munich didn't. Even though magic was her specialty, she had been working on some spells of her own. Spells that took a long time to learn. ((aka. I'm waiting on Hate spells. biggrin ))

"She wouldn't leave you," she commented to Bav. "It looks like you get along well enough," Munich commented, heading left and into the next open door: Rhea's room. Munich's box was up on a high chest of drawers--she liked to be out of reach.

Meanwhile, Rhea led Trin into the kitchen, and pulled out a chair for her. "What do you want to drink? We've got water, and kool-aid and some iced tea." Rhea pulled a couple of glasses off the drying rack and righted them, filling them with ice.

Rhea poured a glass of fruit punch kool-aid into one of the glasses, and then poured herself a glass of water, returning to the table to deliver the bright red liquid to her guest. "Kool-Aid's really good!" she exclaimed, her red eyes shining with child-like excitement. I'd have some, but Mom says I shouldn't have too much sugar, and I've already had a couple of glasses today," she explained with a nod toward her own glass.

"Thanks, I really like it here too. I like living by the ocean." Scrunching up her face a bit with a look of distaste, she continued. "Munich and I don't always get along...In fact, we hardly ever agree on anything. She's gotten a bit nicer since she's been here, but I still think she doesn't like me very much. She thinks I'm just a dumb kid. I know it. Is Bav nice to you most of the time?" she asked, curious. Maybe not all Feien were mean to their bonds.

...

"I'll bet you would!" Munich knew that Bav could make someone's life hell fairly easily. It was a talent that Mun knew her sister had mastered. "Thanks for coming to my rescue sis. I don't know what I'd do without you." She shot Bav a thankful glance, and proceeded to open the door that had been carved in the side of the box. "Welcome to my very humble abode," she gave a little bow, and ushered Bav inside.

"This is my bed," she said, pointing to a washcloth that had been folded several times over for proper cushioning. "It's...makeshift, but comfortable enough I suppose."

"This--is my table, and my stool." This time, she pointed to a small spool that thread would have come on, and one of those plastic "tables" that kept pizza from sticking to the top of the box.

"Over here is my dresser, where I keep everything else," she said, fluttering over to the set of match boxes that had been glued together to form drawers. "And well, that pretty much does it," she said with a shrug. "I live like a homeless fairy, don't I?!"

The little Feien crossed her arms and plopped down on her bed, giving her sister a hopeful look. "We can do something with it, right?"

"Yeah, my bed leaves much to be improved," Mun said, pulling on the fabric with her sister. Eventually, they tugged it through the door. It had been much easier when Rhea just put it in through the top of the box, but oh well. She'd do this without Rhea's help. She wasn't a helpless little fairy after all.

"I am excited about the dollhouse. I wonder if she really means it?" Pondering this, she was glad to hear that her bonded was actually thinking of her. Maybe she wasn't so bad after all, she thought, a grin slipping onto her face.

"Are we using that fluffy stuff?" she asked, walking over to the pile of cotton. "Do you know how to sew?"
